Description: Located in the beautiful development of Echota on the Ridge, this two-bedroom, two-bathroom downstairs (stair access only) condo is perfect for your next vacation. This condo is fully furnished with everything you would need for a long retreat or a short weekend getaway. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare meals and the living room is inviting with a gas log fireplace and amazing mountain views. Curl up, get cozy and read a book, watch TV or take a nap…. the choice is yours! Guests of this unit have access to the deck from the living room or primary bedroom where they can breathe in fresh mountain air while gazing at the mountains and listening to the sounds of nature. Enjoy a short mountain getaway to relax or an extended stay and explore all the High Country has to offer. 

Resorts' Amenities: Amenities in these gated resorts include indoor and outdoor (seasonal May 1 - Oct. 1) swimming pools with hot tubs, two private clubhouses, fitness rooms, stocked fishing ponds, a 23-acre riverfront park, community hiking trails and catch and release fishing.

Location: This Resort is centrally located to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock in the Foscoe area. The convenient location makes it just minutes away from all the High Country’s most famous attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, and Appalachian State University.  If you are looking for winter sports there are several different options from Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Appalachian Ski Resort. Relax and enjoy the slow pace of the mountains and the fresh air or be adventurous and go hiking, fishing, biking, or sight-seeing. Some other things people enjoy are shopping, antiquing, skiing, golfing and miniature golfing, ziplining, go-karts, and gem mining.

The location was beautiful and private. Our VRBO was comfortable, and mostly clean. We were disappointed when we found bodily fluid stains on the underside of one of the comforters and then proceeded to get a different blanket from the closet, to find stuff crusted on to some of those also. This was the one are that seemed lacking, we made it work and the rest of the house was well kept and seemed clean and stocked.

Christmas Tree Cutting weekend

We love staying at this property. It feels like a home away from home. We can relax, sleep in, and enjoy the beautiful views from the cozy deck. Highly recommended for your next stay.

Beautiful sunrises

Beautiful place, but watch out for some rental protection policy they try to put on you. Also hot tub broke 2nd day :( and outdoor hot tub is not on in Winter. Lots of check out procedures like turning off hot water. That said I’d probably stay again, incredible blue ridge Mountain and valley View’s.

Condo needed refurbishing

Mattresses & pillows very old and uncomfortable. Dining room chairs were sunken ( needed repadding) love Echota our 3rd year there but this was our least favorite property.

Beautiful Mountain Views in a cozy space!

Great value for the cost compared to many places we have stayed! Lovely views. Beds were comfortable and place not overcrowded with furniture like some locations! Nice and roomy.

Ski weekend

The views were phenomenal off the deck, the location was perfect for Sugar mountain Ski resort. The property was cozy and very comfortable. The property grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Definitely a high recommendation and we will stay again.

Beautiful mountain condo

Beautiful mountain condo. The pictures don’t do this place justice. The condo was neat as a pin and the views were spectacular! We were visiting Boone, Banner elk and blowing rock. This condo was right in the middle of all three. The check in process was very easy. We did arrive late at night which made the drive a little bit more fun than we would’ve anticipated, but the trip was well worth it. 😍

A Grand Experience

Updated Property but Needs Some TLC

Overall this property needs some TLC. The trim outside the bathtubs was moldy. The dining room chair upholstery was stained and dirty. The living room rug had lots of crumbs and pet hair (thankfully there was a vacuum available to use). Blankets and pillows in the living room were smelly and needed washed. The mattresses were awful. The mattress in the master was like a rock so we chose not to sleep in the master. The mattress in the second bedroom was a little softer but still way too firm. (All these issues were reported to Foscoe Rentals and hopefully will be resolved). There were a couple maintenance issues that we chose not to report until we checked out as we were only staying a few nights and didn’t want a maintenance worker in the condo. The device that closes the screen door was broken and the master bath shower and sink were clogged and wouldn’t drain. We chose to use the second bathroom instead. We did think the community was very beautiful and saw some cool wildlife. And the neighbors surrounding us were quiet. The pictures are a little deceiving as there are back porches that look right onto yours. It’s not as private as the pictures portray, but that was ok since the neighbors outside on their porches were quiet and respectful. We loved the outdoor pool and the view from it was incredible. The area has a couple of wonderful parks, Tate-Evans and Valle Crucis, where we spent a lot of time.

Scenery is breathtaking!

Our stay was really good! Best view out of any we’ve visited in the resort area. Very pleasant atmosphere with quiet neighbors 24/7 which is refreshing to say the least! Clean, comfortable and no technical issues. Thanks for the great hospitality. We will be back!!!!
