Great house and spot

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was good but not as great as the prior year. Basic house items were not present (i.e. dish towels, paper towels, napkins, face wash clothes, dish hand soap and dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent). These were all available the prior year. Also, the gas for the outdoor kitchen grill was turned off. Small details but they make a difference.

Great home and location

Check in was easy, the house was nice but the privacy and outside area was truly spectacular.

Great end of Summer getaway.

Beautiful home at great location. Plenty of room for our family of 8. Very short walk to almost empty beach. Long walks in both directions. Everyone loved the outdoor pool and sitting space. Wish we had longer to stay. Thank you.

Family vacation

Terrific family vaca on the Cape!

Reviewer Comments: Great rental property - location cannot be beat, private beach 4 min walk, and an exceptional outdoor space with pool, shade, chairs, and outdoor kitchen. The screen porch was lovely to enjoy breakfast. We couldn’t get over how quiet it was - no road noise, no people! Plenty of space for everyone (8 adults). Rental company super responsive when we found a small slow leak under the sink - had it fixed and cleaned up immediately. Adam is very responsive and communicative. Hoping to rent here again next year!

Wonderful vacation get away

All was provided - beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels. Also , shampoo, soap and towels and linens provided. The house was a bit cluttered with a wonderful collection of different and antique items. Overall, we had a wonderful relaxing vacation ! Would definitely return!

Great Family Gathering Spot

We were celebrating our 50th anniversary with family which included our 8 year old granddaughter and 11 year old grandson. The pool was the center of our activities and the kids were in from morning until night. The house is laid out for lots of entertaining or a quiet nook to read. The kitchen was equipped with all of the essentials and then some. We are all cooks and didn't lack for utensils and a wide range of quality kitchenware. The beach was very accessible but catching the tides right to avoid the rocky entrance to the water was tricky. The beach was a great way to get the kids detached from their ipads and spend time exploring. We did have to deal with the horse flies and at times they won and moved us out of the pool but we persevered won more than we lost

Beautiful light all day throughout the home and amazing views of the ocean from many rooms. We arrived to a spotless interior. The gorgeous pool is delightful with stone barbecue and firepit. Large screened in porch, several other outdoor decks, and a beautifully landscaped lawn. Great house for the whole family. Bedrooms, kitchen, and living room so comfortable.5 minute walk to the beach is a huge plus. Adam Marks, the realtor, was so helpful with any questions, large or small.This house is truly a slice of heaven!

Eclectic Cape House

Our family of 6 stayed at ECH and we had a great time. We biked the canal, kayaked a nearby river-marsh which was great fun. The high school has 6 great tennis courts and a first class track. Our family used all the nearby facilities. 6a which is the main route near the house is no where near as busy as 6 on the rest of the cape. There are many really interesting restaurants and breakfast nooks nearby. Our favorite breakfast was at Marshlands an old school counter style breakfast with hardy portions. We discovered edge pizza which is our favorite pizza - must be tried to understand. The house is clean and well laid out. Lots of light and interesting. As other reviewers have noted the interior decor is eclectic and world wide. Great AC if outside gets really hot. Great kitchen support for meals. We played croquet and supplied board games which were great fun (clue. Backgammon). The pool area is top notch, however dusk brings mosquitos. We had a wonderful bbq and dinner but you have to plan an early seating. The pool is heated, however the temp setting was brisk for our family. The beach is a very short walk over the dune. The beach provides for very long walks left or right, and is private. It is pebbly. We used water shoes. The house landscaping and outside appeal is top notch, with a great driveway organization should kids or friends visit.

Great location and property

Property and location were great. The pool also had an outdoor kitchen, fire pit, and pavilion for shade. Short walk to beach. Beach is very quiet which was nice. House was great with a deck and screened in porch. Great set up, but property is a little over decorated with furniture and Antiques. Too many chairs, hats, lamps etc which with younger kids can be challenging.

Outdoor living dream

Loved the new swimming pool/outdoor kitchen area/fire pit. Certainly the highlight of the property! Grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Short but vigorous walk to the beach over a high sand dune.

Quiet Stay in East Sandwich

Location is a very short walk to a beautiful Beach - very quiet and few people - which we loved! The pool area was the selling point for us! It was great to come back to the pool area in the afternoon and swim, BBQ and hang out. Not to mention a fire in the evening and smores! The home is what it is in pictures - very eclectic BUT clean and everything we needed!

Splendid retreat

This property is perfect if you want to get away from home and other people and it is also ideal if you are looking for things to do on Cape Cod and the Southshore area. We enjoyed the solitude of the private beach. We usually only ran into one or two other people at Sunset. We loved the art pieces in the home decor and the property manager was great to work with. We stayed here for two weeks and it felt like home.

Great get away!

We had a great time at this property off season. The beach was beautiful, a quick walk and very private. We also enjoyed the outdoor area with the fire pit and kitchen. Would highly recommend!!

Blissful interlude

We enjoyed a great week at cranberry cottage. Weather was hot and sunny and we made good use of the pool. Beds are very comfortable and the kitschy decor humorous and interesting,but dusty. The entire house is very homey and comfortable. On the down side 1. The back yard is swampy and full of mosquitos 2. All bedrooms require negotiating semi circular stairs. If you have any mobility problem reconsider renting this house.

HI Pat Thanks for your review and glad you found it to be a blissful interlude! Im sorry you found the owners decorative choices to be "kitschy". The owners have taken pride in collecting items from around the world! In terms of anything being dusty I of course have spoken to the cleaning company. We have not had any other complaints about the backyard being swampy, perhaps it was a rainy week for you and as for mosquitoes, well it is Cape Cod! Also, the home does have two sets of stairs, both of which have a landing halfway up or down them. I dont think the characterization of semi-circular is accurate but I appreciate the feedback.
