The room was clean and well stocked with items that we would need on our trip. We loved the location and the short walk to the beach! The location was great and close to everything, we really enjoyed our stay! The only thing that could use some improvement, are the mattresses on the beds! Next time we’ll bring some foam mattress pads

This is a wonderful place to stay. Everything was just as pictured in the posting. It was very clean and easy check in. The most important feature is, it is literally just steps to the beach!

We had the best little getaway. We were pleasantly surprised when we booked it so quickly and the beach is literally right off the backyard. We will definitely be back, especially with kids and all the beach stuff it was very easy to pack things back and forth to the beach. It was definitely helpful to have the washer and dryer. It was so quiet and really we felt like we were in our own hidden place. The only thing I would say is DON’T flush the toilet while someone is in the shower (you will burn them up)! The extra beach toys, tents and chairs are nice also.

The process from start to finish was incredibly easy! Any question i had was answered very quickly. The room while small (i expected) had literally everything i could have possibly needed. I had even stopped and bought things for the beach that were not needed because those items were available in the room! Communication was excellent. From the door to the beach was so close, with that being said my only disappointment was not actually being able to see the water from the room, which I should have expected being ground level meant the dunes blocked the beach view. As for cleanliness, the room was clean for the most part, maybe my idea of clean is different from others. Overall my stay was great. I would stay here again.

Great beach house stay/all you need

Loved that the place had all essentials for water fun (beach chairs, umbrella/toys/buckets/boogie boards) as well as kitchen supplies. Love how you can just walk straight out to the beach easily.

Thank you for the kind review. People really enjoy this little cabana for its hidden location behind the Marriott Courtyard right on the beach. You can even use their pool (the owner also owns some cabanas)!

The cabana is a quaint place to stay. Upon arrival I was a little disappointed due to the cleanliness of the place, however the bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and linens were very clean. The living room space needed a better look at by the cleaning crew as there was dust build up and webs on the walls and ceiling in that space. This was reported to the property management and they immediately responded. Overall, this is a great place to stay, the beach is steps away and it was easy access to come and go. I’d definitely stay there again.

Unfortunately, we have not yet figured out how to control the weather. Almost everyone that stays here gives the place 5 stars for its location and ambiance.

I’m so glad we found this hidden place. It was nice, clean and quiet. The beach was within feet away. So it wasn’t bad hauling all of our beach supplies. I would recommend this place to anybody. We will be back next summer!

Amazing

We had an amazing stay at this cute little bungalow cabana. We hope to stay again in the future. Perfect beach access & pool access. Perfect for a couple or small family. We are a family of 3. It was just awesome.

Perfect for a weekend getaway with friends

This location could not have been more perfect for our group- literally just a few steps before our feet were in the sand! The Beach Pizza stand next door offered a wonderful meal and we happily cooked simple meals for the rest of the stay. Communication was great and we enjoyed our time together immensely. We will certainly be back!!!

Sister’s Trip

I have stayed in the Bayou Dwellers Cabana Colony before. I love the location. It is close to all my favorite places. I can park and be steps away from the room and the beautiful beach. I always wish I could stay longer!! I appreciated the items there that could be used if our grandchildren would have been with us and the items for use in the kitchen.

Beach Front Gem

I reserved 4 nights for my 2 grandchildren and me to spend time together and to enjoy the beach. The cabana, while small, had everything we wanted and needed to make our stay comfortable and fun. For our use, the host provided coolers, chairs, water toys, and beach towels...amazing! We also loved the use of the pool next door and the pizza at the pool bar was yummy. I would return to the cabana on Okaloosa Island again and again!

Barefoot paradise

This place was just the right size for me and my teenage son. It was so nice to walk right out the door onto the beach! I didn’t even bother putting on sandals. The Murphy bed was a great solution for the small space. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Will stay again!
