Beautiful Beach Family Getaway

We spent a week at this condo resort. Ages ranged from 3 to 88. The condo was perfect for us. The views from the balcony were unbelievable! The only suggestion we have is that the owner update cooking utensils and cookware. Will be back next year!

Very nice resort and condo!!

Very pretty condo and Very convenient on the 3rd floor!! Kids loved the water play areas/pool... everyone very helpful! Had tough time with our keyless entry several times but it was taken care of in matter of a phone call! The onsite restaurant grill was also a plus for lunch or for an evening in(all the food we got was great)!

My family & friends stay at this condo this past week and overall we really enjoyed our stay. There are little things that could be fixed... for example when we got there we could not get into our condo bc the codes that were given were not accurate and we had to call Panhandle. Splash Resort/Panhandle Getaways

I would give our condo 3.5/5 stars. Check-in was a nightmare. None of our communication explained our suite was actually 2 connected suites with a shared lobby; the resort door plates did not match the room number we were given. Cleanliness was great, and all large appliances worked well. The kitchen was poorly outfitted. There was not enough silverware or mugs to set 10 places, and no steak knives. All dishes were mis-matched, and utensils were flimsy, dollar store purchases. The only cookware was 2 pots, 2 skillets, 1 broiler pan, no hot pads. Having meals together as a family at the condo was challenge and certainly not what I'd expect for the price we paid. We will come back to resort again for sure, but I would explore privately owned condo options before booking with Panhandle again.

Not clean

The condo overall has so much potential but the cleanliness of the place made it hard to enjoy. The shower door in the master bath had been broken prior to our stay so they just put up a shower curtain on a rod and left the wall torn up. (We weren’t notified of this before our arrival, the broken shower door was pushed behind the dresser in the master bedroom with a note not to touch it). There were items left over from the previous guests (underwear, shoes, cigarette buds on the balcony, coke bottles on the balcony, nicorette gum in the washing machine). The washer machine door didn’t work so we were unable to wash clothes, but I’m not sure we would have anyway since it smelled so bad. The microwave was so dirty, we had to clean it inside and out before being able to use it. Again, overall it would be a nice place to stay if we didn’t have to spend our first day cleaning it.

Splash 301

Couldn’t get in room when checking in. We were sent wrong codes. Ice maker kept getting blocked, wouldn’t give cubed ice only crushed when it wasn’t stopped up. Had to call maintenance bc glass shower door fell off while husband was getting out of shower. Couldn’t hardly get washer and dryer to close, had to pick up on both to multiple times to get them to close. Spare bedroom shower and master bath sinks were clogged up. Recliner would not stay closed, every time you sat in it, it would pop open. Balcony door would not properly close finally after the third day we had to call maintenance to come fix it bc we couldn’t deal with it anymore. Elevators were a nightmare ended up having to walk the stairs multiple times bc the elevators would never come. We had a good time with the amenities that they offered and maintenance was quick to get there both times we had to call but probably will never stay in that condo again bc of the money we had to pay.

Not what I expected for the price

For this amount I expected it to be clean and efficient, comfortable and safe, and lastly owner assured....Well first we get there and it seemed easy enough to check in. No luggage carts, elevators not working and the door code was not correct. Now I am worried by this time that things progressively are getting worse. The condo was dirty, trash and mustard were just a quick step in the door. The next was the recliner was broken, the ladder to the bunk beds also broken, the door of the washer was broken, the ice maker frozen over...so I contacted maintenance to help with these issues and they never showed But we did receive a warning letter because we left our beach wagon by the door. We were the only ones in that area and the management did find us to leave a warning. The good was the view and location to amenities. The bad was the sliding doors were so difficult to open that the men had to do the opening for the whole family.

Everything was a wonderful experience

All was wonderful here. The only draw back was the elevators being down for a bit and when there were working, there wasn’t enough elevators to support the number of people at the resort. The condo unit itself was fabulous.

Over all good....but

We (my husband and sons family) enjoyed our stay but felt like the place could be cleaner... big scuff marks on walls, something oily sprayed on wall over the lamp accross from kitchen and when I went to plug my phone in dirt behind the night stand in studio bedroom. There is no kitchen cabinet space for groceries (which we solved by moving cookware from one cabinet to another). Recliner in living room was broken when we got there and had to leave it in reclining position the whole week. I really don’t like writing bad review about how unclean a place is since it’s usually a third party doing the cleaning but hopefully the owner will see this and have a talk with the cleaning people.
