Fox Pines Retreat You’ll love the mountain cabin vibe of the beautiful Fox Pines Retreat, a modern three-bedroom home full of sun and space, thanks to a great room with a fantastic vaulted ceiling, skylights and a soaring stone fireplace. But it’s the extras—a game room, bath spa tub, hot tub, fire-pit and proximity to the lake, village and mountains—that put this wonderful home over the top. Relax on the contemporary sectional in front of the fire, enjoy a sun-dappled meal at the kitchen table through the sliders to the deck, or assemble a team for drinks and a ping-pong tournament in the upstairs game room. Outdoors, you can soak in the hot tub, enjoy views of the Fox Farm neighborhood from the upper balcony, or gather around the fire-pit to watch the sparks fly up to the stars. Reserve the king suite for yourself—it’s spacious and has a skylight and a sunny bath. Your guests will have plenty of room in two other clean, open bedrooms with multiple beds.

Worked for what we needed

We went up to Big Bear with another family for 3 nights. It had enough room for everyone and it was nice to have a large great room for everyone to stay together. We noticed quite quickly that the game room, which was the main reason we picked the place, did not have a foosball table (which was listed in the ad), the dart board was broken and only had one dart with a tip (all remainder darts were in a drawer and broken), the game boxes for us didn't have anything in them (all their contents were mixed up in drawers throughout the house, the blinds in the master wouldn't twist close (so we couldn't sleep in if we wanted to), the heating wasn't consistent in each room (one room was unbearably hot while the other was freezing cold). We didn't use the heater at all due to the inconsistency. Also, if you are hoping to get a nice soak in the hot tub brace yourself. The water was sooo hot, hotter than most hot tubs. You truly couldn't be in there more than a few minutes. I was kind of disappointed when I contacted the property management with all the problems I had with the place. They said they would get someone out for the dartboard and blinds and no one came by. Huge bummer! It was nice to have a stocked kitchen, and the location to the slopes was a plus. Like I mentioned in the title, the place did what it needed to.

Great place to stay

House was clean and very pleasant. One of the reasons we chose this house was the recreation room. However, there was no fooseball table as seen in the pictures. The ping pong table is old and could be updated and there was only one ball until we discovered several behind a cabinet There were only 2 functional darts - that should also be remedied. I'm writing this so that the owners are aware - not a big deal, but wold have made things even more pleasant. I highly recommend this rental!

Comfortable

Very comfortable but the house was a little outdated. Very old refrigerator, washer and dryer are dirty. Not enough trash bags

Fantastic place for family or friends gathering

Great property with lots of room to lounge or play and lots to do. Loved the game room with bar atmosphere and the large living room with a huge couch for all to enjoy a movie together at the end of the day. We appreciated the prompt customer service to address any of our questions. I would recommend this property to anyone with a family or to a group of friends who want a great place to hang out together.
