It's all about the view! You will enjoy easy access (only 11 steps) to this villa with a full ocean view from the living room, kitchen, dining nook, master bedroom, and private balcony. With the vaulted ceilings and lots of windows, this villa has a very light and open feel and a comfortable island décor. Both bedrooms have California King beds. You will find wood or tile floors throughout villa, and a 32-inch flat panel TV and DVD player in the living room. The limo style, 4-passenger golf cart is parked in space 80. 1050 sq. ft. H180 | | | Rental of a vacation home in Hamilton Cove includes use of the community’s amenities (pool, spa, health club, 18-hole putting course, tennis courts, croquet court, sand volleyball court and beach area with built in barbecues and picnic tables). Some restrictions may apply. Occupants subject to Hamilton Cove Homeowners Association Rules & Regulations. | | | This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3 night minimum July & August). ----- This property is in a residential community and is only suitable for quieter groups. NO smoking, NO parties/events. NO pets allowed per HOA rules. You must be 25+ years old to rent this property. No daytime visitors allowed. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before booking. Violations of these rules will result in immediate eviction with no refunds. Anniversary trip

Beautiful property, amazing views! No beach chairs and Golf cart is very old and missing a seat belt. Property management does not respond to text or email despite their request to communicate via text.

Great Location!

It is in an amazing location! Having the golf cart was also a major benefit. The unit is a little more dated/worn than what the pictures show. There was a heat wave during our visit, so the lack of air conditioning made the nights uncomfortably hot for sleeping. A number of the windows were missing screens, so we were unable to open the windows without letting flys and wasps in.

Million Dollar View, but property is run down.

This condo’s view is worth a million bucks. The condo has a great layout and easy to get to. This property is run down and continues to have the same issues other reviews have left in the past. The floors, walls and doors are filthy. Half of the electric wall plugs don’t work. You are provided with minimal toiletries, the kitchen lacks pans for a big dinner. The golf cart is in it’s last leg. I can go in and on, If this company would invest some money into this condo, it can definitely be a top rated spot in the island. If you want a spot with a view to kill this is it!

This place could be great, but it just—isn’t. We have stayed in Hamilton Cove many times and, although the quality of the condos does vary, this property is substandard. The cutsey Catalina decor is not overdone and the ocean view is spectacular, but all HC condos have that. The bed we used was very nice, but that’s also to be expected. The high ceilings were a nice surprise. However, the kitchen is barely stocked with cooking implements and two of the teflon pans were so scratched as to be unusable. The cabinets were grimy inside and out and need repainting. The living room furniture, also unusable. This is hard to describe, but the bottoms of the couch and chair slide out from under you as you are sitting, because the bottoms are on wheels! We ended up sitting on the one comfortable chair and one of the tall chairs from the deck. Nothing seemed really sparkling clean. The showers are dangerously slippery. The golf cart is so broken down that parts of it flap in the wind, as you are driving it! We will not stay here again, even though there are so few steps from the street to the unit; hard to find in HC.

Memorial Day Weekend

We loved this unit. The view is unbeatable and we had an amazing time with our family for the long weekend. The property was beautiful, the pool was heated (!) and the private playground & beach areas were fantastic and never crowded. My only suggestion would be a broom or swiffer for guests to sweep up any sand off the floor.

Great Location

The location of the villa is very private. Having a golf cart was a great way to get around. The room was nice and clean. Would stay agian.

Great view but needs work

This place has amazing views and comfortable beds. It also has only a few stairs to get to it and a golf cart. These are the reasons we rented it. However, it really needs work. The light fixtures in the bathroom were falling down, the toilet seat paint was coming off and eventually the whole seat fell off that could have really hurt my 80 year old father, the balcony lights were broken, one window didn't shut, there was confetti on the balcony, a face print on the window, dead bugs on the window sill, what appeared to be a makeup smear on the wall, and then there was an alarm that kept beeping outside the unit that could be heard inside. We had to alert them about 3-4 times and it even went off in the night. And just little things like there is only 1 big coffee cup, no sets of wine glasses (maybe 1-2). And in the booklet it says you have to bring the key into town to drop it off in a dropbox which I also thought was super inconvenient. All of this for what I consider a super high nightly rate. I would not stay in this unit again.

Jazz Trax vacation

While the location and the view were wonderful along with the layout of the condo for 2 couples was great. However we noticed that the condo needed to be updated quite a bit and definitely not as clean as we would expect. There needs to more lighting in the bedrooms, especially the guest room. Some of the pillows had not pillowcases or not the right size pillowcase on the pillows. The floors were quite dirty. After walking around barefoot we all noted really dirty feet! The golf cart was a great part of the rental however we noted that the brakes needed to be replaced and on day 2 (less than 24 hours after we had been there) we found that there was some type of mechanical issue. We headed back to the office and they were kind enough to give us the "maintenance" golf cart which we used for the rest of the trip. The condo location was great as we were the 1st building into the complex and had only a few stairs to climb. It would be nice if the patio had a table with 4 chairs rather than only 2. All in all Catalina Island is a beautiful place and we enjoyed ourselves but there is plenty room for improvement in the condo that we stayed.

Beautiful views and location, but dingy and run down

This condo could be a 5+, with spectacular ocean views in a lovely setting. Beds were good, layout nice, lots of potential but seriously needs a sanding and paint job, thorough cleaning, and fixes/updates to the kitchen and two baths. Rust, chipping paint, dinginess, and outdated or broken appliances ruined the otherwise nice ambiance of this unit. CIVR staff did provide a temp microwave, but deeper attention to this place is needed.
