The Nest is a newly built, chic modern-rustic home crafted into the side of a mountain. Perched up high with 180 degree views for miles, the home is minutes from Lake Glenville and the Crossroads, close to recreation, convenient for shopping and dining, and is yet a million miles away. Avid travelers, we designed this home with all the amenities we look for but never find in our own travels. Professional grade appliances and cookware for the gourmet, table service for 10, 2 wrap-around covered porches with cozy furnishings and dining areas, outdoor grill with direct gas line, high quality mattresses, white cotton linens, and down alternative comforters. There is space for everyone in the family to congregate together or to cozy up in their own niche. The bunk room is a kids' paradise! Each of the 4 built-in bunks has a cozy down comforter, a nook with a light, and an outlet for their phones or other electronics. There is ample seating and a wall mounted large screen TV with BluRay DVD player and X Box gaming. The floor above has it's own wall mounted large screen TV, fire place with luxurious lounging furniture, and ping pong table, all opening up to a covered wrap-around porch and the same spectacular view. There are books and games for all ages throughout the house.

The Nest sleeps 10 in 3 bedrooms with en suite baths and a bunk room with 2 sets of built-in bunks and a full bath. The farmhouse trestle table seats 10-12 with ease. Each level is walled with a light-filled view of the mountains, beautiful in every season. Other amenities include: heated master bath floor, high speed internet, You Tube TV, Amazon Prime, Netflix, DVD player and X Box, laundry room with commercial grade, full sized washer/dryer.

The kitchen is equipped for the gourmet with a Dacor range, Kitchen Aid mixer, Nespresso machine, Keurig coffee maker, and high quality cookware and bakeware for the discerning chef. Enjoy your meal with your family and guests at the large farm table overlooking the stunning mountain view with the sliding French doors wide open.

This home is minutes from the Lake Glenville public beach and the Crossroads with shopping and restaurants, but the highlight of this area is the great outdoors. The countless trails in the area provide sweeping mountain views, stunning waterfalls, and flora and fauna for hikers of every skill level. Visitors to the area can also enjoy mountain biking, zip lining, white water rafting, boating, swimming, skiing, tubing, and fishing. We have guides, maps, suggestions, and reviews at the ready for you. Winter, spring, summer, or fall, western NC has it all! Enjoy the unspoiled beauty of this part of the country from the comfort of the Nest.

In this new world with COVID, many are looking for places to get away while still working. We have very good, fast internet...when we have it, which is most of the time. It is reliable for light work, streaming movies, multiple users but we do not recommend trying to make the million dollar deal from up here. We do not recommend your 3 children do remote schooling from here. Weather can interfere with internet as can too many people on too many devices at once. We want you to relax, not to be frustrated, so we encourage you to come here to enjoy the beauty and serenity and leave (most of ) your stressful job at home.

There is a security camera located above the front porch that covers the front entrance porch, walkway, and the parking area.
