Wonderful stay

Beautifully decorated home. Immaculate. Very comfortable and plenty of room for our large party. Will definitely be back when our plans bring us back to the area.

Contemporary house with all amenities.

The property had everything as advertised. The property is in a quiet neighborhood, conveniently located close to St. Louis sites, SLU and WashU. The support staff we extremely responsive and attentive to our needs.

We visited end of June with a party of 10. A set of parents, 3 adult children with 5 little ones ranging from 3 to 7 yrs old. We booked from Thursday to Sunday and the weather was very hot and lots of rain (which meant more time at the house). The house was perfect for us. The family with 3 boys took the basement level as their own and it worked great for them. The master bath was luxurious; we took advantage of the slipper tub. The king size bed was not very comfortable; too soft for me and frame squeaked and moaned (which could be heard on the main floor) when anyone would roll over. Felt like the frame was not completely put together. The tiniest room with the single twin bed was not used. Several others mentioned, and I will again, the frustration of there being no kitchen cloth. No oven mitts, no wash cloths or sponges for hands, dishes or cleaning the counters, and not enough pods for the dishwasher. Those are minor issues, and there is a target across the street. I would recommend brining your own. We went to the magic house, the zoo, a little adult shopping (At Home and and antique mall) during the day, and played games at night. We really did have a wonderful time. The WIFI did not work. I contacted the help number and they tried to help, but eventually we just stopped trying and made other plans. I really do wish it would have worked because it would have made things a bit smoother. Even with these small complaints we were impressed and would stay again.

I’m glad the layout and basement worked well for your group and that you enjoyed the master bath and slipper tub. I’m sorry the king bed was too soft and the frame squeaked — we will have maintenance inspect the frame and evaluate the mattress comfort. Apologies also for the missing kitchen items and limited dishwasher pods; we will restock oven mitts, sponges/washcloths, dishcloths, and ensure sufficient dishwasher pods going forward. I’m also sorry the WiFi didn’t work for you — we will have our tech team investigate and improve the troubleshooting information in the house manual. House has great sleeping and entertaining space. It’s clean and beautifully updated on a quiet street. We booked it with the house next door for a group of 20 for an extended family gathering. One thing to be aware of —that is not clear from the listing— is that the property allows for a maximum of two cars parked on site. These are in parking spaces accessed via a narrow alley. The street the house is on allows permit parking only. The management company told us we might need to park additional vehicles several blocks away — challenging with babies and grandparents. However, the parallel street and perpendicular street allow parking and did not require permits. While not ideal, it wasn’t as bad as initially expected. Definitely something to plan for if booking the property for a large group.It could use a few more basics — I’d bring extra hand towels and more cooking serving ware if staying here again with a group.With those caveats, would highly recommend. The interior is lovely and thoughtfully designed.

Spacious Home

The house has two living areas on the first floor, and an open kitchen. The rooms are spacious and you could easily fit a large group of 10+. However, our family of five had to space out showers so everyone could take a hot one. The water heater could not keep up after two consecutive 8-10 minute showers. That was a bit of a logistical headache each day but we managed. The basement was cold, but it made it nice to sleep in. The basement has a small kitchen and small living area with some seating. The neighborhood is … up and coming. Lots of renovations and construction happening. There isn’t much in walking distance. But it was a convenient location near I-44. The alley has a lot of pot holes, so many we opted to park on the street rather than scrap the car bumpers. The house gave us enough space to spread out and gather for a meal. Everyone got their own bed and parking was free.

Clean, new home ideally located with a few drawbacks

The home was clean and beautifully appointed. The decor was peaceful and welcoming. The home had so many wonderful ammenities, a spacipus kitchen with all the gadgets for cooking, a welcome basket of treats, toiletries and cleaning supplies, a gorgeous master bedroom and bathroom, baby items and family games. The place was seriously much better than the pictures even showed. My favorite because im a bit of a mattreas snob, was how comfortable the beds were. They were the perfect amount of firmness for my husband but still soft as air for me. The lication was in the neighborhood of SLU and in close proximity to downtown. Unfortunately there were 2 significant drawbacks. The firat being that the basement was freezing and no amount of adjusting the main floor thermostat could fix it. Hopefully the manement company can address thia with some space heaters. Secondly, the water heater was not big enough for the house. After just 2 short showers all the hot water was gone. Again hopefully this can be addressed, because this home was very lovely and accomodating for a large family and was a good value for the money. The management company was fairly easy to reach, although they were not able to solve the issues we had while we were there, which was inderstandable. Overall a very good home and an enjoyable stay.
