Home was very clean and spacious. Great view of bay and great fishing off dock. Fire pit, kayaks, and huge deck. The loons everyday was an added bonus. We all had a wonderful week.

Very well stocked kitchen. Great home for large family vacation. Large living, dining and kitchen made gathering large group easy. Large bedrooms and comfortable beds. Very secluded spot which we really enjoyed. All around great home to rent!

Huge place with all amenities

We rented this place for a team building snowmobile trip. The only issue we had was the road was too icy to get our big truck and trailer up the hills. We had to get creative. The house was amazing with a huge kitchen, hottub, pool table and bar.

Excellent Vacation Spot!

My family had an amazing time staying at this cabin! The property was extremely clean and the rooms available were as advertised. Tom was very reponsive and clearly interested in making sure we had the best vacation possible. The layout of the cabin was very good and the kitchen was the most well stocked kitchen I've ever seen at a rental cabin. The two dishwashers make it very easy to keep up with the dishes generated by 14 people. The beach was sandy and great for swimming and the docks provided some amazing fishing for our group! The photos of this property really don't do it justice and I would highly recommend it!

Spectacular north woods lodging

This is a large, comfortable house on a beautiful, quiet bay of Lake Vermilion across which loon calls echo in the evening. The house is managed as part of the White Eagle Resort—though the resort itself is 15 minutes away by boat or car. The importance of being part of the resort includes that the superb resort staff and management are available—usually instantly by text—to answer blueberry and hiking questions and to provide an above-and-beyond response to a special request. Thank you, Tom, Owen, Andrew and Timber! The connection also meant that adding a first-class boat to the week was especially straightforward. We did most meals in the large and well appointed kitchen, though we took the boat out each evening for happy hour, to a MN DNR water-accessible lunch spot for a picnic lunch and to The Landing for an excellent dinner.

Excellent, spacious lakefront house

We were celebrating a family get-together with 11 people ages 6 to 82. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is large, newly remodeled, and gorgeous. The large modern kitchen was well-equipped with high-quality cookware, professional gas cooktop, two new dishwashers, two drip coffeemakers plus a large urn-type coffee maker for parties. There were generous supplies of dishes, flatware, laundry, dish, and dishwasher detergent, and paper goods. The bathrooms had generous soap, shampoo, and paper goods. The master bedroom and bath were new and large. The other bedrooms were smaller and less lavish but comfortable. The view over the lake was beautiful with only a tiny glimpse or two of other civilization. The shallow and somewhat weedy lakewater in front didn't invite swimming, but the owner also has a nearby resort and welcomed us to use their beach and facilities. The owner was responsive and helpful, answering every question promptly. Great place!

Black Bay Lodge

First, the house is great for large groups. We had 15. Lots of space and we loved the screen porch, size of kitchen, and bed configuration options. The kids loved the hot tub after coming back in from swimming on the lake. The host also rents pontoons and we had this for the entire week. It was great for our group. Besides fishing and cruises, we used it to take the kids swimming as this isn't possible in Black Bay unless you like murky bottoms and stained water. The good news is Black Bay is beautiful and very private with great sunsets. In addition, the host has a resort with a great swimming area.

Relaxing Week at the Lake!

My family (9 of us total) rented this lovely lake home for a week and had such a relaxing time! Lots of space to spread out and play games and relax on the deck overlooking the lake! Beautiful sunsets and boat rides. Host was very responsive and we felt right at home. We especially loved the table fireplace on the side porch, comfy beds and the spacious kitchen. Some of us took a dip in the hot tub which overlooks the water. The drive in once we hit the gravel road was a little rougher than we anticipated, but being so secluded was worth it! Highly recommend this property!

Big! Lot of everything, views, big screened porch with fire pit, dock, outside fire pit, big deck with lot of chairs Webber barbecue and great beds. Our 60th wedding anniversary with our children and spouses was better than we expected. Thanks Bob and Carolyn James (Dallas Tx now , 24 years in MN
