We not only had pictures of the damages you caused, we filed claims that were paid by the insurance company. You left the place trashed and failed to follow multiple rules - moving large pieces of furniture from the upstairs to the downstairs area, leaving trash everywhere (including food crumbs and wrappers under beds and in closets and on the outside). The amount of trash left behind and inside the house resulted in a special pickup. You checked out hours after the checkout time. We had furniture ruined that I did send over pictures of that included things like a brand new table that was destroyed because someone drew circles all over it. Kids used the tables as a coloring book and literally colored right on them. The kitchen was left an absolute disaster. We don’t expect people to put things back and the utensil drawers become a mess over time. But most people will reasonably put things back. I had to go in there and spend a day reorganizing the kitchen and pantry. We found pan, utensils, Tupperware, plates just thrown into random areas. It was a new level of disrespect I can’t even begin to explain. Sure - no dish was left in a sink. But also it was thrown together like a hot mess into any cupboard available. Our crew had to come back and clean for 2 extra days, resulting in extra charges we incurred and I was able to recoup from your deposit. It’s also a lie that VRBO agreed with you and refunded you because we were compensated for all charges through the insurance company and deposit. We rated you equally with 1 stars because we haven’t had a rental this bad since a fraternity threw a pledge party! That’s the level of disrespect and how horrendous of a renter you were. I will own the trash situation because we use a trash service. The woman was hospitalized that week and we were unaware she had not come the Monday she was scheduled to arrive. It was a fluke situation and we were able to get the trash remove the next day after we had found out.
