Dream Sea Chalet - Oregon Beach Vacations

Dream Sea Chalet welcomes you to stay in a vacation home full of peace and tranquility in a forest setting that is only four blocks from beach access. This home is located on the east side of Hwy 101; five miles south of Waldport and two miles north of Yachats. Nestled in a wooded setting, you can enjoy watching the deer graze, hearing the sounds of the birds, and be rocked to sleep by the not so distant sound of the waves hitting the shoreline. This vacation home sports custom wood work and cheerful colors, with three bedrooms and two and a half baths to accommodate up to eight people. Enter the home from the second level deck and the great room immediately makes you feel at home with an open ceiling and high glass windows that reach towards the big blue sky. Dream Sea Chalet has a wood burning fireplace (please buy wood if you would like to use), cable TV, a DVD player with a selection of movies and Wi-Fi so that you and your family can feel at home while on vacation. On this floor, you can find two bedrooms and a full bath. One bedroom has a queen bed while the other room has two twin beds for the kids. Upstairs in the loft is another queen bed. Just off of the loft through the French doors is the primary suite, complete with a king bed. This is an open room with light streaming in from all directions. The primary suite offers a garden tub and a shower for you to relax in while gazing out at the stars. The game room is located outside and through the side garage door behind a hanging door to your immediate left. The game room is furnished with a ping pong table, mini pool table, foosball table and games to keep you and your party entertained. There is a half bath in the garage, located through the navy blue door. Bring your family or friend gathering of eight or less people down to the Oregon coast today and show them the beauty of the Oregon coast in style and luxury!
Parking is available for up to three vehicles at this home. Please note: boats, trailers, and RVs are unfortunately not permitted here & the BBQ is for seasonal use only, available during the Summer months.

Dog Friendly for up to 2 dogs, no other pets allowed. Please do not leave dogs unattended at any time in or on the property.

cozy and secluded

We enjoyed the house very much. The bathtub in the master bedroom was so lovely to soak in. Loved all the windows and how secluded it was without being too far off the beaten path!

Our only disappointment was the lack of supplies in the kitchen. There was nothing to save food in, baggies etc., not a sharp knife to be had, and the dishes were too tall for the dishwasher. Also, it advertised an area for the dogs. There was a gate, but the lock on the gate was broken and could not be counted on.

Wonderful Coastal Escape

The house was great for our family of 4 plus a couple of friends and two four legged friends. The living area was great for relaxing and family movie nights. There are soooo many movies available along with lots of games. The kitchen needed more spoons and at least one baking dish would be good to add. The garage/game room was a bit musty so didn't spend much time in it.

Nice place

House was very nice and cozy. It had great labeling of items and perfect amenities. Would have liked to see some beach towels. There was some dog hair from a previous pet visitor on the stairs but besides that it was clean and nice. The listing was a bit misleading as the access to the beach is over a busy Highway and not just down a side street but not terrible. Just not what we expected. Beach was great and access easy once you crossed the highway.

Peace In the woods

The home itself was very comfortable, along with the bed. Wouldn't recommend it if you don't like stairs. Quite a flight of stairs getting into the home then more stairs going to the master bedroom. But once you get in it's very nice. It stated that there was a dog kennel to keep your dog's in...but the kennel is not secure for any type of dog. Needs a lot of work. So please don't put your dog in and leave them alone...Hwy 101 is very close by!

Hi Debbie, Thank you for your review, we're so glad you found the home comfortable. There are some stairs here for sure. And we'll take a look at the dog kennel but of course we do remind our guests that dogs can't be left alone in the yard or in the home at any time and should be supervised while in the kennel. Dream Sea Chalet

Rating Details: The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The chalet is in the woods, and surrounded by trees, it does not have a 'at the beach' feel. When we walked in it smelled of dog, and the large couch in the living room had dog hair all over it. The chalet overall was a little grungy. But, the kitchen was well stocked and the dishwasher worked well. Bed was not uncomfortable. Its a five mile drive to town.

Hello Susan, Thank you for your review. We are sad to see that you did not enjoy your stay at Dream Sea Chalet. As per our website, this home is not located near the beach, but is in the mountains. We aren't sure what made it sound like it was at the beach or had a beach feel to it. As for the dog smell, this home is pet friendly, which means that there will always be a slight dog smell in these homes. We are sorry if this was overwhelming. We would have happily had housekeeping come out to the home to clean the couch better and bring air fresheners to try and help with the dog smell. We hope to have you stay with us again soon on the Oregon coast. Thank you again for your review.

What a beautiful peaceful house!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family loved this fun house! So pretty with all the wood. You do need to change your description of the games. We were looking forward to a pool table but it is just a little mini kids game. For those with any physical limitations: the stairs going up are quite steep and it can be hazardous getting in and out of the tub/shower upstairs with no real handhold. Also, the oven did not work when we were there. Tried everything but it would not light. Ended up cooking the pizza on the BBQ grill, which was fun. haha. The house is in a really nice setting and loved how quick we could walk to the beach.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: we were really disappointed that there was no firewood. We had to go out and spend $20 on wood so we could have fires. And then there weren't even any matches or a lighter to start the fire. the little floorboard heaters do not work well. when we got up on Saturday morning it was in low 30s outside and in the high 50s inside. We cranked up the little heaters and it got up to 60 in the house but that was it. that is why we went out and bought wood b/c the house was so cold without a fire. it was disappointing. if you are going to put fireplace in the description, you should also provide firewood. Especially when it gets down below freezing at night and the house is poorly heated.

We can send maintenance to the home to check on the heaters to make sure that they are functioning properly. Unfortunately, we do not provide the homes with firewood or matches/lighters. The addition of a fireplace is up to the owner of the home, and the use of the fireplace is at the discretion of the guest. We will add a line to the description that says guests need to buy firewood if they would like to use the fireplace at this home. We're sorry that this was no made clear beforehand. We hope to have you stay with us again in the future.

Really great weekend

We stayed in the off-season, and so didn't use the deck or basement game room, but those would be great for the summer. Close to beach access, good heating, good kitchen, good bathrooms, all functional and quality. I look forward to staying there again.

Nice home, needs some TLC

House was large enough for family of 8 adults. Not enough dining chairs for 8 adults, not enough spoons or knives. Kitchen could be better equipped with basics like spatulas, rubber spatulas, wine glasses, extra trash bags, enough dish soap for 5 days, toilet paper and paper towels for the length of stay. Many of the windows were broken/and or did not work. Keys we’re not in the correct box and hard to access. Could use a deep clean in general, especially under beds and furniture. Reported house shortage of propane and were give BBQ grill propane in response. Great location, nice house, just needs some love.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had some issues on the day we arrived. After starting out from home, while we were on the road, we received a call saying that our check in time was going to be delayed by 2 hours. We were not too happy about this as we left home a little early so we could run our dog on the beach before going to the rental and now we had to wait 2 more hours. We were very tired when we finally arrived and then the code that was emailed to use for the key safe didn't work. We had to drive into Yachats to call for assistance as the cell service is not good in this area. At first, they said there was no property by the name Dreamsea Chalet! Once they found it, They gave us another code which also did not work. We came to discover that the 2 codes were mixed up..they had given us the maintenance code for the guest key safe, then gave us the guest key code for the maintenance key safe. Fortunately, we realized this on our own without having to drive back to Yachats a second time. The rest of our stay went well and we had a good stay.

We had to buy salt, flour and sugar which we kind of expected them to provide. Other than that the kitchen was very well stocked. The oven ran out of gas while we were cooking but my husband figured it out pretty quickly. We also had to go out and buy fire wood which was really surprising since there is a wood burning stove 😒

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Such a fun getaway! Surprisingly clean for a dog friendly home. The house is filled with character and fun things to do. A couple blocks to the beach, but in exchange for not being on the beach, you get a more reasonable price and forest solitude. Hot water heater fuse blew but the rental company was super responsive snd walked us through fixing it ourselves. The wood stove made it extra cozy. Bring your phone and Bluetooth speaker as the retro stereo doesn’t work. Bring your rubber ducky too, for the luxurious bathtub upstairs. This is a special place.

Spacious House Close to the Beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is very spacious and EXTREMELY well stocked. There is plenty of room to spread out, enjoy the games and relax. The house is super close to the beach, though you cannot see the beach. All the amenities were perfect and the kitchen has everything you need. Inside the house is not very sound proof (IE if you have kids asleep they will likely hear you playing ping pong), but from inside, the highway is nearly impossible to hear with the windows closed. The only improvement I would recommend is providing ESPN for sports viewing.

Yachats Trip

We enjoyed the cabin in the woods combined with very easy beach access. The cabin is comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. The fireplace worked great on the cool mornings.We would stay again. The beach at the end of Idaho St. is quite nice.

I had my 5 grandkids who were all trying to do their online lessons and we had a pretty tough time of it. The very lovely people at the Drift Inn Restaurant we so sweet to let us come hang out and eat and stay for hours and the kids were able to get their lessons completed. Also no cell phone service at the house. But if you aren't relying on service to work or study you will love it. 3 minute walk to the most beautiful beach!!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We truly enjoyed our stay here! It is very much as advertised and met all of our needs. We had a slight hiccup with the oven, but the management company was professional and quick to respond. We would absolutely stay here again!
