It could have been a better stayâŠ.
I was notified about a flood issue in the original flat just 30 minutes before check-in and was offered a replacement, which was described as an upgrade. Unfortunately, the new flat also had a number of issuesâincluding flooding.
The windows were built into the roof and couldnât be opened, so there was no proper ventilation. The WiFi was extremely patchyâalmost unusableâwhich made working remotely nearly impossible. One of the sinks was leaking and so small it was barely usable, even for washing hands or brushing teeth. No idea why the sink of this size is necessary at all. The shower also leaked and wasnât designed for tall peopleâI had to hold the shower head in one hand while trying to wash with the other.
We also had to wait a few hours after arrival because the flat wasnât ready and still needed cleaning. Communication was poor throughoutâwe dealt with different people every time, and nothing was properly followed up.
Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. Despite being told the flat was an âupgrade,â it came with many of the same issues, including flooding. A nice surprise was the super clean kitchen utensils like glass and cutlery. That was my favourite part of this property.
