Great place. Would easily go back to Basaga.

We were picked up by Brandon in the Basaga Shuttle Bus. Brandon immediately was very friendly. We did our thing around Kuching but then decided to book a tour with Brandon, best thing we did. His knowledge of everything and his down to earth personality surely would win anyone over. We ended booking three tours with Brandon. Worth every ringtt. We visited Sarawak Culture Tour. Kuching Cat Museum. Semenggoh Orangutans. Museums, Matang Wildlife Centre. Evening River Cruise. Orchid Farm. Shopping, shopping, shopping! Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Kuching.

Urban getaway.

Checking in was easy and very fast. The lobby was nicely decorated. The room was kinda old and dirty. At least all the facilities were working fine with the exception for the TV reception. The pool was kinda disappointing with all the leaves and twigs from the surrounding trees in it. Worse is that guests are allowed to smoke at the pool and it was a real turn-off. The stay was disappointing with the neighbouring guests walking like a stampede on the wooden floors upstairs or were they "renovating" their room late at night and early in the morning. Buffet breakfast was simple and OK and check-out was fast and easy.

Rustig aan (toch) drukke straat. Mooie tuin

Fijne plek om aan te komen op Sarawak. Fijne tuin en fijn restaurant met superaardige bediening. Zit aan drukke weg, maar daar merk je in hotel niets van. Voor onze kinderen fijn om het zwembad te gebruiken (zout ipv chloor). Wél héél veel blaadjes in het zwembad!

Good hotel great holiday

I really liked this place,we booked specifically because it had the pool and outdoor seating to relax. The downside was mosquito bites if you sat near the pool or in restaurant seating in the daytime. Around 30 minutes walk to waterfront but the hotel has 2 free transfers into town every day you just have to make your own way back. The staff were all great and we used Brendan to arrange tours which were really good. Bathrooms could do with an update.

Nothing Fantastic

Very poor internet connection. I was asked to do ironing at the lobby. After I argued and complaint saying that the hotel website said "available upon request" then only the iron was sent to the room. But concept is good. Cafe and bar have good ambient. For holiday is ok. Work trip not suitable.

Hyggeligt nok og masser af grÞnt. DesvÊrre kan man hÞre folk gÄ forbi meget tydeligt ude pÄ gangen. Wi-Fi lidt langsomt, og kolde brusebade. God service og flinkt personale.

Very helpful & friendly staff. There was a daily shuttle into city but didn't leave until 10.15am which I thought too late in morning.

Relaxed surroundings close to city

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and easy to access from the pool. Very family friendly. I especially loved the little courtyard.

Tranquil gem in the city

Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The room was reasonably clean, but there is room for improvement. Toilets are not cleaned well enough. Staff need to be trained to be more friendly to guests, especially the night guard, who was pretty unfriendly. As we stayed on the ground floor, it was noisy at night. Soundproofing was bad. There was a lot of stomping and loud voices from the guests above us. The second and third night were not as bad.

Leuk hotel. Tours met Brandon echt een aanrader. Eten van het restaurant in hotel is ook super. Vooral de laksa! Prijs kwaliteit verhouding is prima. Hotel is wel aan opknapbeurtje toe, maar het personeel is super attent wat veel goedmaakt! Laundry service is ook aan te raden.

Sfeer hotel aan rand van Kuching

Super leuk hotel aan de rand van Kuching. Is wel aan opknapbeurtje toe maar de sfeer en het personeel maken dat wel goed. Tours met Brandon zijn zeer aan te raden. Na een tourdagje duikje in het zwembad en heerlijk eten in het restaurant!

Rustige plek om bij te komen na intensieve dag.

Ruime familiekamer (grote ruimte verdeeld in 2 slaapkamers met 2 badkamers) aan het zwembad. Mooi hotel waar aandacht besteed is aan de aankleding. De kinderen (9 en 12) konden heerlijk zwemmen terwijl wij in de lounche banken ons boek konden lezen of een drankje drinken. Ontspannen sfeer met goede wifi.

Quiet place surrounded by nature

Booked this place for my family members to stay as I have stayed here once. The residence is like a hidden gem in Kuching city; this place is peaceful and quiet, has very beautiful nature surroundings, friendly and approachable staffs, and breakfast was simple yet delicious.

Si les locataires partent tĂŽt vous serez rĂ©veillĂ© Ă  coup sur. Le personnel est trĂšs attentif, disponible et trĂšs souriant. Une navette peux vous emmener 2 fois par jour au centre de la ville. Et Brandon est lĂ  pour vous organiser les tours que vous souhaitez.

A nice, friendly, well-run hotel.

This is a nice, friendly, well-run hotel within easy reach of the airport and downtown Kuching. The staff are great and the food in the restaurant during the evening was excellent. If you are looking for a 5-star hotel with everything on tap, this is not for you. But if you are looking for a clean, pleasant and affordable place to stay, Basaga Holiday Residences would be hard to beat.

nice hotel, very friendly and helpful

I was very happy with the tour guide associated with the hotel - Brendan; he was very accommodating and knowledgeable. The hotel is a bit out of the centre of town but they offer a free shuttle to town twice a day. The breakfasts (included) were ample and offered seconds of coffee and juice. The restaurant had quite good meals and reasonable prices.

"Basis-Camp" fĂŒr SarawakausflĂŒge

Nach langer Anreise wurden wir recht freundlich im Besaga empfangen. Unser Zimmer mit Poolblick war recht gerĂ€umig, wenn auch ein klein wenig muffig. Man darf natĂŒrlich nicht 5-Sterne-Klasse erwarten. Ein Shuttle fĂ€hrt die GĂ€ste zwei Mal am Tag nach Kutching (ca. 10 Minuten), Taxi kostet 15 RM (ca. 3 Euro). Zum Laufen eher ungeeignet. Das Personal ist echt freundlich (vor allem an der Rezeption), im Restaurant manchmal ein bisschen "unstrukturiert". Essen recht gut, wenn auch ein wenig teurer als in Foodparks. FrĂŒhstĂŒck: na ja :) Das eigentliche "Highlight" heißt Brandon. Über und mit ihm haben wir alle Touren durchgefĂŒhrt und er war quasi unsere "gute Seele". FĂŒr uns also die absolute Nummer 1!
