Would love to give this a positive review but..the fact it doesn’t have air conditioning impacted our stay greatly, making “sleep” very uncomfortable and our time in Edinburgh less enjoyable. Having a small child we carried a monitor which showed the room’s temperature at 30 degrees. The floors are extremely creaky (2 bed 2 bath apartment) so you’re very aware if you have children sleeping. The apartment is a decent size and the location is very central but the windows are thin so can hear a lot, oh and part of the window frame came apart but was “fixed” by reception.

It had everything we needed in the kitchen and was comfortable and clean. Front desk were super helpful and friendly. Fantastic location for visiting the city centre and transport links.

I really enjoyed my stay at Sonder Royal Garden. Quiet, safe and within walking distance to restaurants, shops, Old Town Edinburgh, and Waverley Train Station. Staff were also super friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Really good property for families, great location, access to private garden and park. Kitchen kitted out with all the necessities. There is road noise but didn’t bother us.

Lovely apartment with a great location

Really great location that is close to the city centre and a tram stop direct from the airport which was really convenient. The place itself was well presented and clean, with a well equipped kitchen and good selection of provided amenities. The staff were great and helped with an issue we had with the door latching - although we arrived late and no one was in reception, through the app the problem was resolved within 20 mins or so. Overall a great stay - will be using them next time we’re in Edinburgh!

Sonder apartment is very well placed and was really comfortable. Has all you need. My only negative impression were the excessive charges for checking in between one and three hours before 4pm. I believe is not a good detail charging extra if the apartment is ready as it is already quite costly. They did not reply messages via Hotels.com

Wonderful lodgings in a great location.

Loved this apartment hotel. So clean! Location an easy walk to just about any of the important sites in Edinburgh with the wonderful Portrait Museum directly across the street. We had a car but didn't need it as the very easy direct tram from the airport drops you just two blocks away. Might recommend asking for a room off the street as it was a little noisy but I think that was more because they are working on the road by it at the moment. Loved having laundry facilities in the unit and two bedrooms so we weren't falling on top of each other. Highly recommend.

Really spacious but a few issues

We had a 2 bed apartment, 1 queen size bed and 1 single. The apartment was huge, really spacious and lots of storage and it’s in a fab location really central for everywhere. First impressions were very good but there were a few issues. The biggest being no ceiling lights in the queen bedroom and living area, only tiny wall lights with yellow bulbs. I couldn’t even unpack my case without the torch on my iPhone never mind be able to see myself properly to dry my hair and put on make up. The girl on reception did try her best to resolve this by getting us some brighter, whiter bulbs for the wall lights and a lamp. We were also offered a change of room but would have to pay £50 which we declined. We managed with the brighter bulbs but overall it did make the apartment feel a bit dark and dungeon like. I imagine it would be better if you stayed in the summer and got more natural daylight. Other than that the shower head popped off a couple of times and the shower screen didn’t meet the top of the bath properly so water went everywhere when you were having a shower. I few minor other things that just took the edge of the overall impression, wire hanging down from behind the tv, part of the radiator was falling off in the hallway and one of the sockets in the kitchen wasn’t working. Overall a few minor changes and attention to detail could’ve made a ok stay and really good one
