We had a wonderful stay at the Lakes. It’s such a beautiful setting with so many activities on offer including a spa. We ate in the restaurant and it really is an experience- the food and service were outstanding. Bedrooms are beautiful - decor and furnishings. Guest services were very helpful both prior to arrival and on the day. We we definitely be back!

The little Details
.

It was our 10 year wedding anniversary and a rare trip without children. We stayed in the hotel, the bed was very comfortable but there were a few details that weren’t as we would have hoped for the price or suggested standard. There was a balcony on our room, lovely but not so great to find out we were sharing it with the room next door and there was a dog walking around. We had no advance warning of this. No consideration that we might have been uncomfortable with dogs or allergic. The TV was on a wall to the side of the bed, it came out a little but made it unwatchable because of having to turn completely to the side to see it. The tea & coffee in the room was NescafĂ© sachets and 3 sachets of milk, completely disappointing for a hotel that sells itself as having extremely high standards. No refills or replacement glasses / mugs for a 2 night stay either. The products in the bathroom would have been lovely if they were actually filled. Upon arrival the staff are lovely but you never hear from them again during your stay. Its the little details that make all the difference and these points made it pretty disappointing.

Lovely place to stay, really cozy for winter and we loved the fire. My dog loved it too . The staff were lovely too giving us a lift when our taxi didn’t turn up

A lovely 2 day break at the lakes, so peaceful and relaxing. Spa is great too and we pretty much had it to ourselves most of the time. Food in the tipi was also great, would have liked to have seen some more sweet breakfast and healthy options though. It would also be great if there was an on-site shop to buy any groceries/essentials to save having to drive elsewhere.

Great Room and Customer Service

Check in was very good and the assistant showed us to our room - great customer service and friendly. Room was lovely - spacious and with a balcony. Bathroom spotlessly clean as was the rest of the room. Plenty of tea, coffee, sugar and milk available. Overall an excellent stay, will certainly stay again.

Lovely stay, super clean and nicely decorated. spa area was amazing when empty. This is a great location when wanting to adventure into the Cotswolds The hotel itself doesn’t feel like a hotel, it doesn’t quite know what it is the hotel facilities feel like a last min add on and there is a constant awareness of properties / apartments being sold. The grounds and properties are still being developed and you can’t walk closely to the lakes around mostly due to the private property’s so you end up walking around the back of buildings With regard to activities they are limited to book (though we did go in feb) you have to have a min number to do some of these which is not great for couples I wouldn’t not describe the room as superior it’s fairly small and has the basics of just a kettle with tea and coffee. The balcony is shared meaning the people next door could have the ability to walk up to you bedroom door and bathroom window. Overall it was a lovely stay and really enjoyed ourselves though would of expected a bit more for the price.

Britain’s best kept secret

This was the most beautiful staycation we have ever had and everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. The kitchen had all the facilities and the decor was amazing. I couldn’t fault this place even if I tried.
