Very clean and lots of free parking. We didn’t mind having a short walk to some of the sites and two grocery stores nearby. We had a view of the ocean which was a plus.

Solo traveler approved

Very pleasant stay, as someone who traveled solo. the rooms are definitely big enough for 2. Location is close to downtown, reasonable price, and the checkin process was easy. Customer service was helpful too. The room door code wasn’t activated when I arrived but I called customer service and everything was resolved under 5minutes.

This was a very comfortable, clean and warm apartment. Had great kitchen amenities and a supermarket a short walk away. There’s parking on the street. About 10-15 minutes walk into the centre of town. Bed was comfortable and I had a good sleep every night - for a couple the bed would be cosy (but kind of expected in Europe).

Great communication with property management team from booking to arrival. The entry and exit of property was so easy. Everything we needed was provided. It was clean and well equipped. There was parking available on site or close by. Loved that we could walk to a grocery store in minutes. Downtown restaurants and shopping minutes away. Would highly recommend.

My daughter and I stayed at B18 in the beginning of August 2024. The studio was beautiful- clean, spacious—and a wonderful location. Grocery store right around the corner. Coffee shops nearby—and just a few blocks from shopping and restaurants. There was a lot of construction in the area-but it could not be heard from inside. B18 was also a perfect home base for day trips. We always felt safe-and the communication was very friendly and any requests (eg more towels) was responded to promptly. I highly recommend B18.

Great apartment

New apartment, very spacious and clean. Plenty of a cooking utensils. YouTube video of check in instruction was very helpful. Good communication of access code emailed ahead of time. Wish there could be a few more electrical outlet but not a big deal. Enjoyed our stay, will definitely come back.

Great stay. Well equipped kitchen and location was great for us. However, apart from chairs there is nowhere to seat comfortably. No sofa or even headboard to rest your back. Mattress needs replacing and there is no free tv channels, if you have no Netflix or Amazon account. Beyond that room was really nice and warm, great to come back to after all day exploring in the cold weather.

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was bigger than we thought. Very clean. Few things missing like a few tea bags and some sugar for the first night, instructions on how the oven and senseo machine work. Nice and close to shop, sea front and bus stops. Upstairs neighbours were extremely noisy on friday and Monday night. Husband liked the projector.

Great location and great apartment. Only complaint is that I wanted to pay following the stay but was required to pay before arriving. Then I never received information regarding the code to enter or the lockbox code. I had to ask someone local to contact the property owner or manager because the recorded message was not in English. Once that was done I was able to get the required information and enter the building and apartment.

Great place for families!

Loved this property. We stayed 2 adults and 2 kids for 4 nights and fitted comfortably. The kitchenette and bathroom were perfect for us. The only reason I scored cleanliness a bit lower was the because the fitted sheet on the sofa bed was clean but had two small stains and the smell of food was present when we checked in. Once we opened the balcony door and the front door to let it ventilate it was better. There is a slight smell of rotten eggs from the sulphur of the water in the bathroom but that's normal in Iceland especially when you go to visit the Geysirs. It's part of the charm and super tolerable! There's a Bonus supermarket at walking distance and could easily find parking on the street. We would definitely book this property again. Communication with administrators was great via email. There's a video that explains how to open the door which I highly recommend everyone watch. My kids loved the projector tv that comes down from the ceiling and could watch Netflix. If you are renting a car and don't want to be in the middle of Reykavik but close by, I highly recommend this place,

We stayed here for 7 nights. The first day we arrived Reykjavik at around 6am and we were not allowed to check in earlier and thus we have to wait until 3pm. When we got into the room, we find crumbs on the table, hair on the bed and garbage in both garbage cans in toilet and under the sink. There were cookware but not any cooking utensils nor silverware provided, it was weird. But luckily I bought my own cutlery. Otherwise, I don’t know what I could do with the food and cookware only. Apart from these, the most unacceptable thing was someone opened the door of my room with a password. Both of us were shocked. I told the people to contact customer service. And I also messaged the customer service but they ignored me. No reply. No apologize. We were lucky that we were in the room when someone opened in door. Otherwise, our things could have been gone if we were not there. We felt really bad. I believe you can get a better place to stay nearby.

Problem accessing apartment

The apartments are conveniently located. Close to supermarkets, a food hall and bus stop 12 are just an 8 min walk. The building has had a facelift since its most recent Google Earth StreetView. Access in to the building was straightforward but access in the room was not. The code we had been given did not work and the phone number provided does not connect to anything. We had an hour of panic unable to access the room or contact the apartment owner. Luckily for us there was another apartment owner downstairs who happened to be checking rooms. He called the cleaner of our apartment who made contact with the owner who reset the code remotely. The cleaner did come to check on us which was well beyond the call of duty, he said the number we have is not the number of the owner and doesn’t know why we have been given it. This level of unreliability is not acceptable and you need to think carefully before booking this accommodation. Scroll through the comments and you will note this is rare, only one other review mentions this but I would not book again as we were almost set to leave and pay again for another hotel. Once in the room it was fairly clean, facilities are very good and it is finished in a modern style. No available plug sockets next to the bed so we needed to charge phones at the kitchen area.

This stay was great! Super clean, easy check in process and free parking outside. Nice beds, projector with chromecast, wifi... alm went super smooth! The only downside was that I chose to pay on-site, but since there is no reception I had to pay through a link in an email which felt not so secure (especially since the link came in an email with a hotels.com banner that clearly stated that no off-platform online payments were allowed and that you absolutely should not pay through links provided in emails straight from the hotel...). Eventually after some communication with hotels.com it turned out to be safe, and it went smoothly from there. Maybe the hotel shouldn't offer on-site payment as this is not possible, or at least make the payment go through the third party website instead for a safer experience for the customer. Other than that, it was exactly what we wanted! Thanks!
