In 54 years, Iâve left very few reviewsâbut this stay deserved one. My wife and I drove hours to get here. Our Expedia booking clearly stated check-in was at 3 p.m. We arrived at 2:05, hoping we might check in a little early. Instead, we were told flatly, âCheck-in is at 4.â When we mentioned what Expedia showed, the response was, âWeâve called them several times and they wonât change it.â No apology, no effort to accommodateâjust an obvious enjoyment in saying no.
We left to kill time, then sat in the parking lot watching the staff ignore their own posted check-in timeâ3 p.m. is listed right on their website too. Yet we werenât allowed in a minute before 4. By then, a line had formed. It felt more about control than policy.
When we finally got in, things didnât improve. No TV (just removed), no dishes, no basic amenities. The heater didnât work; a noisy space heater was the solution. The bed sagged to the middle and squeaked nonstop.
Weâre low-maintenance travelers, but when you canât even trust a listed check-in timeâand the staff doubles down instead of helpingâit sets the tone for a disappointing stay. We wouldâve left if anything else had been available.
