Beautiful & simplistic cottage. I absolutely loved the property. I stayed in #4, that had a private fire pit and grill in the backyard adorned with string lights. I highly recommend for a cute little weekend getaway. My only con is that the wifi is kinda spotty so if you have a mobile hotspot bring it.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The cabin has everything you could ask for and then some. I had a late check in (After midnight) and Rebecca called to make sure I knew where to go and how to get in, as well as handled payment so when I arrived all I had to do was collect my key on the way to my cabin. The area was by the highway so it was a little noisy but as someone who lives in the city, that didn’t bother me at all. Staff also included two packs of ear plugs and a sound machine, which muffled the sounds if needed and was a really thoughtful touch. I loved that there were a lot of restaurants and shops all within a 5-6 drive. They are also super close to a lot of trails and mountains if you’re into hiking. It was beyond comforting to come back and relax in such a cozy private space. The community was super quiet. I liked that there were many fire pits among the cabins. My cabin had a few spiders, including a big one in the kitchen sink, but hey, you’re in the woods so what can you expect! It was an overall 10/10 experience and I’m looking forward to booking my next trip here soon!

Disappointing but avoidable

Unfortunately I asked for the cottage that had NO pets. They called me shortly before check in to ask to move to different cottage to benefit customer who was in hospital. I let them know about severe allergies and that was the only concern we had. They assured us the cottage would be cleaned / purified. The other cottage was adorable but not for those who struggle w allergies. I was affected immediately and my friend was shortly after that. We had to drive home that evening. All the plans we made for the weekend were derailed and not able to acted upon. It took a full 24 hours to recover. We were really looking forward to our weekend there; as the cottages looked cute. We wanted to help the client who just got out of the hospital but if you have any pet allergies at all —these are to be avoided.

Our cottage was very clean and quiet! We loved our stay at the Pines Cottages. Close enough to downtown and other things to do, but still felt tucked away.

For my first trip to the Asheville area, the Pines Cottages was the warm welcome I didn't know I needed. The cabin was quaint and peaceful wirb outdoor space for everyone (pets too), and the friendly faces just made the experience even more the merrier!

Terrific place to stay for a private and quiet escape near Asheville but away from the chaos. The rooms and cottages have been recently refreshed and the colors and furnishings are even cuter than the website photos show. The bed and bedding were very comfortable and new. Numerous areas to sit outside and enjoy the quiet. Great spot for dogs as well. This far exceeded our expectations and has so much more to offer than you can get from the website description. Truly a hidden gem.

Great cabins.

The cabin was a perfect choice for my dog and I. My dog enjoyed being able to walk around the property without being confined to a hotel with hallways and elevators. Even though the cabins are situated close to some major roads they provided ear plugs and a noise machine to drown out the road noise. I didn’t have a problem with the noise, but if I had they thought of everything to help out. The cabin was sufficiently stocked to be able to cook meals or grill out. Perfect location to visit Asheville or the National Forest, great little towns nearby for restaurants, bakeries and groceries. Hoping to plan another trip in the fall.

Stay here if you are a person who prefers the local cafe to a national chain. It is charming and has character. Clean, comfortable, private, lots of space. The staff is unbelievably helpful and friendly. Also exceptionally dog friendly. If you are a person who objects to wood floors that look their age or choses a hotel for its art work, go stay in a chain. This is the place we will come back to again and again.
