Välkommen till vårt hem, Sugar Beach 311. Detta är ett obefläckat underhållat rymligt ett sovrum, hörnet på tredje våningen, med utsikt över fronten och sidan av havet och stranden, där du kan njuta av Hawaiis korsbris och vågor. Denna enhet är en av åtta enheter på orten som är ovanligt stor på grund av byggnadens design. Lyssna och se den lugnande surf från din Lanai; och i hela enheten. Utsikten över poolen och havet och med utsikt över södra Maui-kusten är fantastisk. Solnedgångar är helt enkelt fantastiska; se vattnet ändra från blått till rosa. Vår enhet vetter söderut på den vackra Maalaea Bay, som är en del av Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary. Valet säsongen löper från november till maj, med topp valskådning från januari till mars. Att bevittna ett av dessa däggdjur är helt enkelt hisnande.

Beautiful view

Nice digs. Very comfortable bed, well stocked condo, a/c quiet and efficient, clean pool and hot tub, roomy shower, great view. Are is quiet. Nice place. The owners let us check in early. Highly recommend. Nice beach for wind surfers.

Great Location

This was a perfect place for the two of us in Maui. The location at the bottom of the isthmus on Sugar Beach allowed convenient access to booth sides of the island. Restaurants, shopping, and golf were a short drive away, as was the airport. Being on the west side, sunsets were visible from the beach. The condo was clean and had the extra convenience of having an en suite washer/dryer. The site manager and owner were responsive if needed (there were no issues needing to be addressed). We would stay here again the next time we come to Maui.

Would absolutely stay there again!

We reserved this property based on the reviews of others. The condo is wonderful! Amenities that are important to us that this one has: beachfront access, comfy bed, clean, location. The owners are so incredibly blessed to own a slice of heaven. The information received upon booking was also incredibly thorough.

Christmas getaway vacation

We stayed in this condo at the Sugar Beach resort and had an absolute blast! Everything was so clean and everyone was so helpful. The pool and the hot tub were great for the kids and was right on the beach so we could walk down to the ocean whenever we wanted. It is the perfect location!

Great Location - Great Property

This was our first time in Maui but the reviews on this property were really good so we decided to book it. The condo was clean and the bed was comfortable which isn't always the case. We will definitely be back!

Our Anniversary Vacation

We had a wonderful stay at Sugar Beach Resort. Condo was well supplied with amenities. The king size bed was sooo comfortable, just like home! Watched and waited a few days for the pool to be cleaned. They were very meticulous with the cleaning.

Another Great Stay!

This was our second time staying in this unit and it did not disappoint! The unit was as we remembered it, if not better. The unit has everything that you would need and is centrally located within the property. This time we brought our toddler and the unit accommodate us well. Our host, Bill, is fantastic and such a thoughtful owner. We would certainly stay here again.

Great location, super clean and renovated

The apartment is renovated and clean, the ocean view from lanai is wonderful. The complex has pool and hot tub. The beach is very nice for walking and watching sunset, but I would suggest swimming in other beaches on Maui that are more interesting and have nicer waters. There is a very nice bakery and farm market just 10 min walk from the complex on the beach. definitely try the spicy musubi :-) Bill is really excellent at responding and has been very nice to communicate with. Thank you for this wonderful time in Maui!

Amazing view!

The property was perfect for what we wanted for our 30th anniversary trip & first trip to Hawaii! Everyone was so friendly & helpful. The owners sent us a welcome packet that had very useful information on things to do as well as some things to avoid. We loved every second of our stay. The condo was quite comfortable & had everything we needed! Many thanks to the owners & Marco who made sure everything was clean, in working order, & ready for us. My only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer. One week was not quite enough!

The listing was 100% accurate. If I return to Maui, this is where I'll stay again. Bill and Cathy emailed an amazing welcome packet with all the information you need from the property to suggestions/tips of things to do. The location is wonderful because it keeps you out of the more touristy Kihei. There was a minor issue with the shower drain (probably just sand build up over time) at the beginning of my stay. A quick text to Bill and the property manager, Marco, got the ball rolling, and it was fixed while I was out sightseeing!

Fabulous Condo

This is the second time we stayed at this condo, and the experience was fabulous as the owner did some recent renovations, which made our 3 week stay a very pleasant experience. The condo is very well maintained and stocked with kitchen supplies as well as recreational items. Plus the "onsite manager/contact" was great by providing immediate service to one or two minor items we had. Plus, the two different views from this end unit condo, really added to our stay and were of a great value. Would highly recommend staying in this Unit , as the owners were great to deal with.

The condo suited our needs and was very clean. The staff was very helpful and answered all our questions. We enjoyed the view. We liked the location because while it wasn't in town, it was close so that we could get anything we needed but yet the property seemed quiet. We loved sugar beach. The only problem we had was the TV in the bedroom had some issues, and took a little while to figure it out. But that is very minor. The owners made it very easy to rent and they answered all our questions. I can't wait to visit again.

Great Ocean View

Each day while sitting on our balcony, I watched and listened to the waves as they rolled in. This condo was perfectly located with a great ocean view and a stunning sunrise view each morning. The condo was very clean and quiet. The kitchen had quality pots and pans and also had some of the basic pantry staples that you would need. I appreciated not having to purchase things like ketchup and cooking spray, The bed was comfy and the shower had plenty of hot water. The air conditioner worked quietly and kept the condo comfortable. The pool area and grounds were also clean and well maintained. The biggest negative was that the garage parking spaces were very tight, but there was plenty of uncrowded parking if we had chosen to park on the upper level of the garage. It was an easy drive to the airport, Costco, and Walmart. I did not have a need to contact the property manager, but her contact info was readily available. Overall this condo was a wonderful place to stay and I would recommend it to any couple looking for a relaxing place to vacation. I would love to stay in this unit on my next trip to Maui.

We have stayed in this complex 3 times and this is the first time renting this condo. We arrived late at night so when we woke up in the morning we were surprised at how dirty the property was. Hair in the sheets of a supposedly newly made bed, large dirt spots on carpeting, dirty dishes in cupboards; shower had mold and grout that looked like it was not regularly cleaned. I contacted the owner that morning (after we arrived) and he contacted the property manager. Because I wasn't able to meet during his window of time on the 3rd and the 4th was a holiday; I had to wait till the 5th to have the manager come take a look. When the manager arrived he apologized for the condition of the condo. He said the stains in the carpet were made by the previous renter and they didn't have time to get them cleaned but the rest of it he had no explanation for. I was stunned that there was no offer made to have housekeeping come back and clean it again while we were there. Also, we were not offered anything other than sorry by the manager or the owner. When I complained to the owner the last day (stayed 7 days) he said sorry I was not happy and that his manager and his team hold a "high standard". Will not stay in this unit again and would never recommend it to a friend.

Best beach in Kihei!

I have SO many good things to say about this property and host, it will be hard to summarize! This is our 5th trip to Maui and our 4th trip to SBR. We tried one new place in south Kihei once, and it just wasn’t the same. Although staying at SBR does require you to drive to most places with the exception of the nearby farm stand, abc store, and shaved ice, the 3 miles of uninterrupted beach front is well with it. And seriously the abc store has everything. You can walk down the road or the beach to those locations. We stayed for 11 nights with our two kids (21 & 13). First night they had the sleeper sofa. The king size bed was way too soft for us so we switched with the kids the rest of the time and it was perfect!! The sleeper is much more firm and to our liking, we also love getting up early and enjoying our beach walk and coffee without waking the kids. The room is nicely decorated, had tons of kitchen necessities and a huge supply of Tupperware! Boogie boards, beach towels, and a small cooler were a plus too. You can’t beat the local tour and sight seeing office onsite either! You can expect wind daily, like this owner states but we are used to that while visiting and most days it keeps you feeling cool. Pool and grounds are always immaculate. There is a local canoe team 2 minutes down the beach that you can pay to join them. We did for the first time and it was spectacular. Recommend Kimo’s in Lahaina for food, Coconuts in Kihei for fish tacos and For and Salad for delicious lunches and Wow for Acai bowls, also in Kihei. My only suggestion would be to add a towel and swimsuit drying rack on the lanai. It just didn’t seem like there was enough room to dry stuff for four people. Even a coat rack stand some there would be nice. Can’t wait to come again!!!!

HONEYMOON IN MAUI

Property as a whole: Clean, basic, nice having shop on premises to make purchases, rentals. Our condo: filthy entrance walking up to door, door would not shut on its own, you constantly had to turn to make sure you slammed it shut. Condo was clean, but very worn and tired looking. Everything was very basic. The couch was very worn, you could feel springs when you sat down, and when we tried to sleep on it one night so we could hear the ocean waves (you couldn't in bedroom), we lasted about 30 minutes, it was so horrific. Creative photos for bathroom - is extremely tiny, and again, worn. Towels had bleach stains, linens on bed had bleach stains. Gear - Tommy Bahama chairs might have been nice once, but the zippers were corroded, didn't hold anything, very worn. Had two sets of fins but only one face mask, so had to rent equipment instead. Kitchen - clean, but worn - sink did not drain and garbage disposal did not work. Again, basics. Overall, as said above, outside of the entrance to the unit (filthy, dirty, needed cleaned, vacuumed, repainted), the unit itself was clean, just worn and very basic. Living, dining, kitchen and bedroom were nice size, bathroom was disappointing. Marco was absolutely awesome at letting us in early - we asked for 3:00 versus 4:00 (although all the paperwork in condo says check in is at 3:00, so you might want to update that). He rocked it! Unit was nice and quiet and A/C worked nice - would have been nice to have more than one fan in the unit - we kept having to carry it from the bedroom to the living room and back. Also, we told them this was our honeymoon - I don't expect fancy service - I know we're not staying at the Hilton, but it was like "that's nice". Lastly, I messed up on the dates and had it for Monday through Saturday when I should have done Sunday through Friday. When I asked them about changing, understandably they couldn't, someone else was there before us, but they quoted they were within the "no cancelation" portion/time frame - seriously - I made a mistake, we weren't trying to cancel, we just didn't want to pay for a night we weren't going to be there. They said they'd see if they could rent and let us know - they never did - they also said that was up to VRBO - the mixed message was confusing. Overall, would not stay again - but we had a wonderful honeymoon - just future renters beware - this is bargain basement.

Owner operated. We visited South Maui on our first trip to Hawaii and we fell immediately in love with the ocean views, climate and the relaxed aloha spirit! The pace of life on Maui truly allows one to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Sugar Beach is close to everything on Maui! We love that it is south facing for sunrises, sunsets and watching marine life. It has free and clear access to a white sand beach. Many complexes have a road and / or lava flows interfering with beach access - not Sugar Beach! Our legs get tired of walking before we run out of beach to walk on.

The corner location feels open, light, and airy. The extra window allows for amazing cross-breezes. The living room and kitchen are bright and sunny but the bedroom is dark and cool. This unit is larger than most one bedrooms at Sugar Beach due to the curvature of the building. It has easy access to parking, pool, hot tub, sauna and most importantly the ocean!
