Camp Matty är en helt ny stuga (2015) med alla bekvämligheter i det moderna livet. 3 sovrum + loft (5 drottningar, våningssäng och en bäddsoffa i queen size-storlek), 2 badrum i full storlek (1 med badkar och den andra med ångdusch med kroppsrör, chromterapier och radio), kök, vardagsrum , vardagsrum och däck. Det finns en 55-tums plattskärms-smart tv i vardagsrummet och en 120-tals biograf med surroundljud i vardagsrummet ansluten till DirectTV / Apple TV tillsammans med en vacker, rustik Adirondack teman bar i källaren med en dartboard, bordsfotbänk och brädspel för familjen som passar dina underhållningsbehov. Under däcken finns en 6-personig badkar med LED-lampor, flera strålar och vattenfall (särskilda villkor för användning gäller). Utomhus dusch, internet, automatisk standby generator, tvättmaskin / torktumlare, diskmaskin, rostfritt stål apparater, hängmatta, propangrill, öppen spis och listan fortsätter. Camp Matty värms av strålande golvvärme, en mysig vedspis i vardagsrummet och en träpelletskamin i källaren under vintern. Du kan åka längdskidåkning eller åka din snöskoter direkt från fastigheten till C-8 (huvudspåret som förbinder till Old Forge, Spekulator, Newcomb och Tug Hill) som ligger 1000 meter från uppfarten. Njut av de lokala evenemangen i staden, såsom årlig 4 juli fest, Annual Moose Festival eller Rustik Wood / Antique Fair. Downhill skidåkning på Gore är kort 20 minuter bort från väg 28. Great cabin

The cabin is in a great spot in the woods. Very dark skies to see the stars. It was very comfortable and plenty of room for a big group. It was a great stay.

Ski trip

Our group had a great time. The house was perfect for our group of 7 to have a long weekend to ski Gore. There was plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable, with the main floor living area and the basement family room/bar area. The owner was in contact to make sure all was good. And the hot tub was a bonus after a day of skiingWould definitely recommend for others

Annual fall hiking trip

I stayed with my 2 sons (35 and 31 years old), nephew (34) and my youngest son's brother-in-law. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The steam shower, hot tub, wood burning stove, and comfy reclining couches were all great features that we enjoyed. All commented on how we'd like to stay here on future visits. Communications with Chris were prompt, effective, and very helpful.

Close to Everything you Need in Indian Lake

Great Family Vacation

Stayed at Camp Matty with extended family. There was plenty of room to spread out. It was very peaceful and quiet. We loved spending time on the deck during the day and by the fire at night! Great memories made!

Relaxing stay in mountain retreat

Camp Matty is just like the pictures portray it. The scenery is beautiful. There is a road to take a leisurely stroll before breakfast and after dinner. Trails for all kinds of hikers can be found nearby. Lakes and streams are abundant. Our host, Chris, replied quickly to each and every message. He was very helpful. I can’t recommend Camp Matty enough. We hope to return.

Nice vacation house

This house is very nice, although there are a few things that need work/updating. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfortable. The deck is a great place to relax. The caretaker is very responsive to all questions and concerns. We had an area wide outage during our stay but the generator kicked in and we were never without power. Not only that, the caretaker made sure we had what we needed. This was the perfect place for our family to get away.

Great Place for a Family Getaway

Camp Matty was perfect for us! It was a great place where our family could come together but then gave us each our own private/separate places at night (which is important especially with a 10 month old). We loved how close it was to everything too. From swimming to boating to hiking, everything was right there within minutes. The dogs also loved exploring the yard. Chris was also great! He was quick to respond with any questions or concerns. He was also very clear with instructions and details. We really enjoyed our stay here!!!!

Great cabin for Gore Mountain

Great cabin with all the amenities - the hot tub was perfect after a day of skiing at Gore. When we forgot a couple things at the house (including an iPad), the owner reached out right away to have them returned.

Great Place in Indian Lake

This getaway was for the whole family (all 6 of us). We wanted to go hiking, do some fishing and just relax. This place gave us all three to the maximum. Can’t recommend enough, would give 10 stars if possible.

Camp Matty Indian Lake

My family and i spent week at Camp Matty. The place was perfect for us and the kids had a blast. From sledding to the hot tub and finishing off the night with a movie by the fire. The location was great within 20 mins of Gore Mountain and right by the town. The Indian Lake Restaurant was also very good. See you next year!

Beautiful location!

We had a week long, four generation family getaway at Camp Matty. The spacious deck and wooded location were perfect. Listening to the birds and frogs and seeing the stars at night was enjoyed by all. The beds were very comfortable and the steam shower was amazing! Chris was very helpful and checked in to make sure everything was going well. Any issues or questions we brought to his attention were dealt with promptly. Nice relaxing feel within the house itself. The kids enjoyed the yard and surrounding woods.

Great Single Home Option for Winter Activities...

We were in the area to Ski at Gore Mountain a straight shot 21-mile/26-minutes door to door. House was a great option over hotels given the price. Most of the drive to Gore was down Rt. 28 - which was well cleared of snow to get to skiing. Loved the hot tub, wood stove, propane grill, steam shower, large projection TV to watch basketball/football and other amenities the house offered over others we compared in the area. Chris the owner was great at communication. He offers options for bringing your own linens/and hot tub use to to keep the nightly rate lower. He provided tons of firewood, propane, two large fridges, and large (queen) comfortable beds. Place was clean - and user friendly. We didn't plan for it - but this seems an incredible property for those who snow mobile - saw tons of trails near the house and throughout the area. Only suggestion to the listing - this is the 1st house/driveway on the left.

Beautiful cabin to meet all your family needs during a relaxing vacation!

We had a wonderful stay at Camp Mattie! The cabin had so many great amenities! After a long day of hiking the beautiful nearby trails, we enjoyed watching movies on the huge projector, playing darts, and playing games as a family. We also loved the steam shower feature. The space is perfect for a family or for a couple of families. We are a family of 7 and it's hard to find a place with plenty of space- this cabin had tons of space! The cabin is in a perfect location- excellent trails are within a short 15 -20 minute drive, beach 5 minutes away. Chris, the owner, was so kind and helpful. We've been using Homeaway for years and have had great experiences, but this was one of the best! The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals. Our little ones loved just playing in the yard, finding snails, and walking down to the beaver dam to watch the beavers. Our older children loved the loft area and the rock scramble climbs. Great trails: Crane Mountain, Chimney Mountain, and OK Slips Falls. This was our first experience in the Adirondacks and it was truly amazing! God's blessings on this cabin and Chris' family.

Great place to spend a few days with dogs and friends

With a couple caveats: we arrived and the hot tub was cold, but not the biggest deal. We started it up and waited to use it the second night. The owner said there was a fee to pay to use the hot tub, supposedly to cover electric costs and requested $60 cash to cover it. If it's in the listing as an amenity it shouldn't come with hidden fees and on top of that, the price for electricity is rather high to cover 3 nights stay (we booked for four and left the third though we planned it that way) Additionally, the steam shower did not work. The owner discolosed the issue via text that the high pressure was not though no matter what we tried we couldn't get it to produce steam at all. Again, an amenity listed that wasn't available. That all out of the way, the place was fantastic for our crash pad after hiking Allen and relaxing the rest of the days. I would consider coming again but the hidden fee didn't really sit right with us.

Many Issues with House

Overall our stay was disappointing. The house itself has a lot of potential but there are things we could not get over. -no smoke/carbon monoxide detectors -first floor shower does not drain -no fire starting materials -no heat in house first night as it took time to heat up -no hot tub for 24 hours as it also took time to heat up - messaged host prior saying we would like to use it -overall level of dirtiness in the house -sliding doors downstairs do not lock and have pieces of wood keeping them shut (safety issue) -no curtains or blinds on any of the windows made us uncomfortable -we were asked to bring our own linens (totally fine!) but the beds/pillows themselves were stained and quite gross -chairs falling apart at dining table -plaster all over wall where projector goes, difficult to watch movies My friends and I rent houses every year and I guess have been lucky with good experiences. This was a very disappointing experience however there was nothing that could be done in the moment so we did not bring these matters up with the host at the time. Again, the house has so much potential with a more work and thought put into it.

Enjoyable Cabin in the Woods

We enjoyed our stay at Camp Matty. Interior was clean and in good condition. The front bed room bed is worn but we did not use it. In Winter the hot tub takes a long time to get to temperature, if this is part of your stay, be aware to ask if it can be turned up in advance. Had some unusual challenges with the WiFi but Chris was very helpful resolving the situation. Don't forget to bring sheets and toiletries/toilet paper etc.

Hi. We grew up blue collar camping in a tent with my cousin Matt who passed tragically 2 years ago. Together we grew to appreciate the great outdoors and fell in love with the Adirondacks. Matt saw the excavator clear the property but never saw the house built. We like to think his spirit is amongst us in the Adirondacks so we rightfully named the property "Camp Matty," in honor of him. We built this house brand new in 2014 for our family to enjoy the beautiful Adirondack Mountains. I drew the prints and did a great deal of the work myself including all the heating and plumbing. We liked the secluded wooded property with the mountains in the background yet the close proximity of being able to walk to town. The snowmobile trail is 1000 feet from the house so we can easily access the trails. We want to share the magic of Camp Matty with you so we can help keep our dream alive.

It's brand new built in the summer of 2014, has every modern conviencance or amenity you can imagine and accommodates quite a few people for a vacation and our caretaker is a mile away in case you have a problem.
