The apartment is centrally located. Easily accessible to BSI bus station and excursion bus stops. Lots of restaurants & cafés close by and most of the city sights are within walking distance. The host was very responsive to our needs.

Great location, but property not worth the price

First off, communication was great with owner, easy to get keys and correspondence was timely.Upon arrival bathroom was soiled (toilet area), we ended up cleaning it ourselves. Furniture consisted of inexpensive plastic folding chairs (four) and a well worn inexpensive table.As the property slept 4 and the bed had a nice mattress. The kitchen was good too.Compared to another unit we stayed at in the area, i would rent another property for the money.

I wrote the same thing about our second stay. The apartment was quiet, safe, comfortable and the location and price were perfect! I’d have given 5 stars but my husband found the bed to be uncomfortable. He tried to use the sofa bed but said it was broken. I loved the kitchen!

This is a superb location and an excellent price! I really enjoyed staying here! The kitchen was perfect and the apartment was quiet , safe and comfortable. If I’d been staying by myself I’d have given it 5 stars. However, my husband thought the bed was uncomfortable and when he tried using the sofa bed he said it was broken.

Sehr gute Lage, um die Innenstadt zu Fuß zu erkunden. Allgemein ist die Wohnung gut ausgestattet, allerdings war die Sauberkeit in der Küche und im Badezimmer etwas unterdurchschnittlich und auch der Schimmel im Schlafzimmer etwas bedenklich.

Great location and value!

The apartment was in a great location, close to everything (e.g., tourist area - shopping, dining, sights) and was well kept and perfect for what I needed for my stay as a solo traveller. Great communication from the property manager. It was a great home base for my day trips. I would stay here again if I was ever back in Iceland. Thank you, Anna!

I'd stay again!

The location was convenient to downtown and public transportation. The unit had everything we needed. There is not a 50 on the building but is next door to 52. Anna's name is on the actual unit, not the front door. I only wish the bedding for the pull-out couch was as nice as what's on the listing. would definitely rent again. would pic.

Well Located Apartment

The location of the apartment and the communication with the hosts were excellent. The apartment was stocked with plenty of information about local attractions, which was really helpful when planning our trip day to day. The bed was also really comfortable, which is great. However, the apartment listing states that it was recently renovated but, whilst modern, the apartment had a few slight problems, such as the bedroom light being surrounded by cracks hanging off the ceiling, which was a little concerning. Despite this, there were no issues whilst we were there and nothing that couldn’t be easily rectified. The only other issue was that the apartment was not very clean when we arrived. For example, lots of the kitchen utensils still had dried food from previous guests on them, meaning we had to clean them all thoroughly before use. There was also dark hair on the walls of the shower and around the bathroom and pockets of black mould around the windows and in the bathroom. Despite this, we had a lovely stay and the apartment was in a great, central location with supermarkets very close by, which were really convenient throughout our holiday!! Definitely suitable for couples’ holidays!

A great place to stay for a couple of days!

My friend and I had a wonderful easy stay at this property. The amenities are as listed, and the owner gave us great directions from the airport. The beds were very clean and many towels were provided. As other reviews mentioned, however, the property does not seem all that “newly” renovated. The apartment felt clean aside from mold in the bathroom. We had a couple of small issues with the shower that the owner has been notified of, and we were told that it will be renovated soon- just something to keep in mind!The location was nice, but since we had a rental car we had to pay for parking a couple of times since the surrounding areas are all paid parking zones in the daytime on weekdays.Overall a great choice with a great price point to be near downtown Reykjavík!

Lovely place to stay in Reykjavik!

This is such a cute apartment in a great location! Perfect walking distance from everything, and this hosts were easy to communicate with. Very warm and cozy and the perfect place to come back to after a long day of exploring!

Review

The VRBO listing is very misleading… The only thing in the apartment that was updated was the kitchen and new floors throughout. The freezer in the refrigerator was not clean and the bathroom could use some shelves and hooks for wet towels.
