Wonderful position , apartment and host

We have visited Lindos many times over the last 15 years, staying in different apartments each time and this one is BY FAR the best in every way possible - beautiful clean well equipped house in a great location near St Paul’s Bay with a gorgeous patio area and Mary, the owner is one of the kindest, warmest people I have ever met- I can not recommend it highly enough

Looking for accommodation in village

Very good apartment ,spacious interior and exterior, suitable for 4 individuals or family Located close to bars and restaurants but in a quiet location.Mary the owner is very helpful , and nothing is too much trouble. Nice welcome pack a bonus. Would recommend to anybody looking for accommodation in the village.

What a location, what views , ( try and catch sunrise, just magical ) Everything perfect for relaxing and getting rid of stress. The host Mary is just lovely . We couldn't have wished for more . Simply a wonderful house with a wonderful host. Thank you so much Mary!!!

One of the best vacations of all times. Rhodes is a wonderful island with much to do and gorgeous beaches. But the cherry on top of the cake was our host Mary. She goes out of her to make things that much nicer. She was there waiting for us when we arrived, with groceries in the house!!! Who does that these days??? She used to check up on us every once in a while to make sure things are ok. One day she passed by just to give us a flower :) on the day before we left, she stopped by with gifts and souvenirs for my daughter, wife, and myself. The house is in an amazing village called Lindos, which is the number one destination on the island. It is very cozy and clean with plenty of space and many towels. The cleaning lady, who by the way is also super nice (thanks Arite :)), comes every day around noon to tidy up and clean the house. To top it all, there is a balcony with an amazing view of the sea and acropolis (which is lit at night). We used to sit there every night without fail. As for Lindos, words cannot describe this lovely village with its tavernas, little shops, and crystal clear beaches. You won't regret it. Thanks again Mary!!!

PERFECT HOST & HOUSE!!

Over the years my husband and I have holidayed in several rooms in Lindos, however, since discovering Mary's house and staying there in Sept 2015.... we fell in love with the house and Mary, such a lovely lady!! This time we took all of our family with us, 2 adult children and our 2 grandchildren, we had three of the rooms in the house. We of course kept the room with the view of the Acropolis for ourselves!! I especially love the views from both windows, one of the Acropolis and the other of the sea towards St.Pauls bay. Going out onto the roof terrace gives even better views over Lindos and the sea of the main beach. At night with the Acropolis and other areas lit up it is even more beautiful. My son had the room behind ours, this room has nice views to the rear cliffs and towards bay. My daughter and grandchildren had the courtyard room downstairs, about 7 steps down, they loved the room and courtyard. My daughter loves the design and style of the pebbled courtyard and steps, as do I. So authentic. It is a Lindian house, Mary has painted/refurbished it tastefully since we spent our last holiday here. The rooms are bright and large with everything needed for self catering, Mary's hospitality is so good, on arrival there is fruit, nibbles, tea, coffee on a tray in your room. Mary even surprised me one day with her home made Spaghetti bolognese for the family, such a kind thought! Her house is immaculate with daily cleaners coming in, making the beds with fresh linen, also plenty of clean towels. It is even more beautiful at night with the various lights lit up on the Acropolis and other areas. The house is in an excellent position for restaurants, beaches, shops and the lanes of Lindos. Yes there are steep areas but like me just take your time and there will be no problem. I could keep on praising Mary and her house/Villa but my best recommendation is that you book a room or the house and stay, you will not be disappointed!! Mary is one of the nicest people you could ever meet, she has a kind, warm heart and so helpful. We look forward to meeting her again! I would highly recommend Villa Leonidas and Mary to everyone I meet and yes we will be returning here again.

A Greek Dream!

Thank you Mary for being the most welcoming, kindest host & for sharing your beautiful Lindian Home with us. We could not want for anymore, it was spotlessly clean, all the modern conveniences you needed & a great location for the beach at St Pauls Bay where we spent much of our time & being so local to where all the action is in Lindos itself. Thank you Mary for all of your kind treats & leaving gifts throughout our stay your hospitality truly made the holiday & we feel we have made a friend for life in you. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We will be back!!!

Beautifully maintained property and amazing host

This accommodation is perfect, and very definitely the best self catering home we have stayed in with bed linen and towels being changed regularly. The home is on the edge of Lindos so offers peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings but easily within walking distance of all facilities and pleasures the village offers.. Mary the owner is very friendly and genuinely enjoys and cares for her guests, on several occasions she dropped by with home made food treats which were delicious and very welcome. Mary also gave us a lovely gift each on our leaving day. We would highly recommend this home to friends and family and anyone else looking for a lovely home to rent for a holiday in beautiful Lindos.

Lovely homely acomotation

A lovely warm welcome from the owner Mary, who showed us around the beautiful typically Greek acomotation. It was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities we needed and more as Mary had left us a well stocked welcome package. Very close to everything with a wonderful view from the upstairs veranda and a beautiful enclosed courtyard , would definitely recommend it and would definitely return.

Fantastic! Exceeded expectations

I can't speak highly enough about this lovely apartment and the town of Lindos. Mary was so kind and helpful before and during our visit. Regular friendly e.mail contact, collected us from the airport and as other guests have said, bringing food and gifts throughout our stay. The apartment was spacious & cleaned regularly, free air conditioning worked well, the courtyard is a delightful place to have breakfast & views from the roof terrace amazing! We could use nearby pools at Lindos View & Waterside pool bar. Fabulous beaches, romantic rooftop restaurants & plenty of nightlife without being rowdy. Couldn't have asked for better. Thank you again Mary for your wonderful hospitality!

Great value, with a wonderful host/owner.

Having stayed in & around Lindos many times our party of 4 had a great holiday and owner Mary was an important part of that. Our expectations were to have a Lindian "home" with plenty of space & air/con in a great location, all those were met. The accommodation is serviced regularly and Mary popped by with "treats" during our stay & gifts on departure. We were able to view all the rooms and they were great; not fitted with the most up to date equipment but all that's necessary to have a great holiday. We'll be back to stay at this great value accommodation, it's the best self catering we've had in almost 20 years of visiting Lindos.

A home away from home!

We stayed in the two room apartment in Lindos for two weeks and enjoyed it very much. The apartment was spacious and clean. Mary, the owner of the house, was very friendly and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. She provided a baby cot and baby seat for our 18 months old daughter. The apartment was cleaned every day and the towels were changed twice a week. The apartment is perfect for children. Our daughter could run safely around in the apartment and in the private, cozy backyard. We were perfectly situated in the quieter area of the old village, a few hundred meters away from the main streets. The village center is car free. As it is not allowed to build any big buildings in Lindos village, it remains architecturally authentic. Everything is in walking distance: wonderful beaches, good restaurants and little shops to buy what one needs (groceries, souvenirs etc). We could cook some simple dishes in the kitchen. Mary brought us some delicious homemade local dishes to try. We also rented a car to explore the inner part of the island. There are some picturesque villages and good restaurants near Lindos. Dear Mary we want to thank you again for this wonderful time. Especially your overwhelming hospitality. Hope to see you again!

Great base for a holiday

We had a fun action packed holiday on Rhodes. Lindos was charming and a great base for our adventures. We explored the wonderful ruins, hired a boat, enjoyed beautifully cooked and presented meals. the views from the apartment were stunning. It was clean and comfortable and Maria was kind, friendly and generous.

Our wonderful holidays

I agree with every word of the previous reviews. The best location, very clean, cozy and well appointed. The cleaning was every day. Very good choice for the families with little children. Very nice and cozy terrace. Mary....she was our tutelar:) Mary brought us to villa, and provided us some food an juices. She came to us in a day and brought some fruit and croissants and other sweets to children, and even her trademark spaghetti Bolognese:) Also she recommended us good stores for shopping. At the last day Mary brought some presents for us and our children. Thank you Mary for your hospitality and kindness!

All we had hoped for, and more!

Perfect. Found this apartment, and Mary was so helpful from start to finish, even emailing me photos of the weather in the days before we arrived. The 2 bed apartment we rented had a private courtyard, and shared terrace that we had to ourselves for most of our stay. Mary met us at the airport, and provided some food an juices when we arrived. The place was very clean and tidy and well appointed. It was cleaned every day, and the location is perfect - 5 minutes walk from the centre of Lindos, and 10 minutes from the beach. Mary even brought us some home cooked Spaghetti Bolognaise half way through our trip :-) At the end of our trip Mary came again, brought presents for the girls in our party. I will certainly be returning to Lindos again, and when I do I won't hesitate to rent this place again. Everything was great including the location, but most of all the hospitality Mary showed us was what was so memorable. Honestly, I think of her as my 'mum' in Greece!! If you're looking for a good place to stay with a good location in Lindos and excellent views, you should book this place.

A Gem in Lindos

Mary is THE most hospitable "landlady" you could ever wish for and we will certainly be returning to Leonidas Apartments in Lindos. This Lindian house - owned by Mary since 1976 - is internally decorated in the fashion of it's day which lends an authentic feel to a comfortable stay. From the main courtyard - where there is a communal enclosed area down 5 steps from the front door - there are 2 ground floor accomodations. One being a larger "family size" studio, and the second the 2-bed apartment that we rented. Up a (steep) flight of stairs from the courtyard is a further communal balcony/sun terrace with superb unobstructed views of the acropolis and ampitheatre and two smaller studios. We had fun spotting "our house" from the very top of the acropolis. The 2 bed apartment contains 2 large twin/double bedrooms at opposite ends of a hallway with a kitchenette and bathroom between. Each bedroom contains excellent hanging/drawer space, aircon, accessible plug points, comfy bed with linen and towels provided and a flat screen TV. The bathroom is well appointed with a good hot water flow from the shower over the bath. The kitchen contains a round kitchen table with chairs, double sink, large fridge with smaller freezer over, plenty of pots and pans, colander, knives etc and is easily sufficient to make light lunches and breakfast. There are 2 electric hob rings but no oven/microwave. There is also a door through to a fully enclosed inner courtyard with a sun awning allowing privacy and an excellent breakfast spot! (With a washing line & pegs should these be needed). This unusual access to three courtyard areas is particularly valuable to allow choice of sun/company/shade/privacy/ wind protection to suit your mood. All areas have good quality chairs and a table. Free Wifi is effective all through the apartment - another bonus. Lindos is traffic free (unless you are a brave moped rider) and parking is a matter of less than approx 100m from slightly above the apartment. Staying off-season in April we had no parking problems whatsoever and Mary met us in the car park to show us the way to the apartments on arrival - despite the lateness of the hour. The walk down to Lindos square is steepish and stepped in places but took approx 10 mins even with a gent in his 80's in the party. St Pauls Bay beach a similar distance. Supermarkets and restaurants between the apartment and the square. Mary's generosity and welcome is unmatched. We had a fabulous holiday

perfect family vacation

We rented the entire villa for our family of 10 adults ages 25-55+. It worked out perfectly. The villa is lovely with fantastic views and clean and comfortable studios and a great 2 bedroom apartment. There are three beautiful patios. The rooftop terrace was perfect for family dinners and it offers one of the best panoramic views in Lindos. We loved that everyone had there own space and privacy, yet we were all together. It is a short walk to the villiage with good restaurants and the stunning Acropolis, and to the best beach at St. Pauls Bay. Most of all we appreciated the loving care that the owner Mary treated us with, which made us feel very welcome in her beautiful villa. Thank you Mary and Leonidas Studios for a truely perfect family vacation.
