505 Sailmaker Villa

We had the pleasure staying at this villa. It is beautifully maintained and very clean. The room this villa has made for a comfortable stay. The pool abs beach are great. And location is perfect to get around. So close to the historic downtown. I highly recommend this villa.

505 Sailmaker

The stay and the property overall was excellent. The unit was very clean and property was well-maintained overall.A few suggestions - need to upgrade lights in bathrooms as they were too dim. Also a rug in the living area would give it more warmth and cut down on the hollow sounds when walking through the area. Basic condiments would be helpful such as salt, pepper, and spray cooking oil. Also a sponge for cleaning dishes would be helpful.

Sailmaker 505

We rented 3 units in Sailmaker. This unit had 3 bedrooms which was a plus. However, the kitchen was poorly stocked - no baking sheets, no serving bowls or platters, limited silverware and dishes. Needs a rug in the living room, patio furniture refreshed, and repairs on blinds. Good location and beach access.

Sparsely equipped kitchen but adequate. Not enough towels and wash cloths but also okay. Any request was answered right away as a couple of items needed attention. Very nice staff. Would rent again.

There we're limited pots and pans and the Teflon in the pans was scratched and coming off. It would help if the utensils were not metal Also the lock on the Murphy bed was broken so not as safe as I would have liked It's a beautiful apartment with plenty of dishes but no way to cook

505 Sailmaker

Enjoyed our second visit to Sailmaker and would like to return. Two issues with 505 -- You should know that housekeeping had some misses when we arrived. There was a partially filled cup of juice stuck into a cabinet, a dirty diaper underneath the master bed (didn't see this until preparing to leave), some dishes in the dishwasher, stains on the sofa. The real disappointment, however, was the cookware: We didn't feel comfortable cooking with non-stick cookware that's heavily scratched and peeling. So we purchased a frying pan and saucepan when we could have brought out own. And the cooking sheets should really be discarded -- it's a waste for every guest to have to cover them with foil when they could be replaced for just a few dollars. Thank you!

Renting from Mock's Amelia Vacations

I rented an Ocean Front condo at the Sailmaker complex through VRBO which turned out to be through Mock's Amelia Vacations for $290 / night. I got a call while at the Airport that the unit did not have Cable or Internet and we were being offered a switch to another unit. Interestingly - every other unit in the same building did have Cable and Internet which I know becasue another relative rented one a few doors down. We took a non-ocean front unit that was OK but had no view and a filthy / moldy patio. I contacted Elisha about the outside patio as we like to sit outsdie and it was quite warm. Someone came over to try and clean it up but it needed to have been power washed and painted - was not maintained and not ready for anyone to rent that unit. We were offered a refund of $50 per night which we did not feel was fair. Further - we were told that the cleaning fee of $150 would be refunded as we could not use the outdoor space at all. This never happened. The fact that neither unit was ready for rental shows that Mock's is not properly maintaining or checking far enough ahead of a rental. I would not rent through Mock's Amelia again plus they did not honor the refund of the cleaning fee that they agreed to.

Clean, close to beach and quiet area.

We loved our stay at 505! Everything was as expected. Place was very clean and close to beach and walk paths. We heard from many others that said they stay in this complex every year. If I had one suggestion, it would be to include more kitchen items, pots/pans. While the kitchen was a little small, it just made it harder to cook with limited and outdated options. But nothing that ruined our trip.

Lovely

We had a lovely stay. The accommodations were roomy with plenty of space for everyone. We had a few minor things come up like lightbulbs that went out and the property management was wonderful to work with. This is not a beachfront unit but did have a nice view of the pool which was convenient and nice to see if it was busy or not! The property as a whole was great, just a short walk to the beach. We saw all kinds of critters including a sea turtle! We would stay again.

Very nice condo, exactly as billed

We had a great time, property was great, family friendly, short walk to the beach. Had trouble contacting property management company, they wouldn't take a call, would just text (water main to the building went out so no water for last 2 days, no fault of theirs). Ultimately though, they did the right thing and reimbursed us for the inconvenience, and I am very satisfied with the outcome. Despite the setbacks, our family loved the condo, the beach, and the area. Would definitely go back to this complex.

Family reunion

The condo itself was nice on the surface. Has a Keurig coffee maker but no regular coffee maker. The ceiling fan in the downstairs bedroom and the ceiling fan in the upstairs bedroom above the downstairs bedroom malfunctioning every time someone use the remote in either bedroom. Lighting outside on the stairs was not good.

Great condo!

We have stayed here twice, and love this condo. Great location looking out over the pool. Staff was responsive and made our stay enjoyable. Will definitely reserve this place again!

Nicely Updated Rental next to the Pool

Interior was nicely updated with good appliances (Keurig coffee maker, nice fridge, stove and oven), clean bathrooms and comfortable beds. Pots and pans were very scratched and worn but used foil on baking pans instead of baking directly on them. I would bring own dishwashing soap, extra toilet paper and paper towels and plastic kids serveware (we ended up getting paper plates at Harris Teeter around the corner). Location is very convenient to pool and short walk to the beach (no stairs even on the boardwalk so you could use a wagon or cart) and having a reserved parking spot out front was great. Good wifi throughout the condo and smart TV to log into apps if you have Netflix, Disney+ etc - but they also have xfinity cable too.

Beautiful island & accommodations

We really enjoyed our stay on Amelia Island. What a beautiful community! We loved the condo, it was clean & comfortable & the beds were comfortable too. We had a restful week with perfect weather. The kitchen sink became clogged but we called the emergency number & it was taken care of right away. We were very pleased with everything & will definitely recommend this place to others. The only downside was the beach is a distance from the condo, it took a little while to get there, we had an elderly relative with us in a chair, but was able to use the walkway.

Family vacation

The condo was great! looked just like online photos. Plenty of room for both families. All areas of the condo was clean and was well taken care of. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sailmaker poolside villa. The condo had everything we needed. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Would definitely love to vacation there again. We loved Amelia island!
