Lovely unit in the heart of Corfu Old Town
This is a small romantic space in the heart of Old Town. So ask about the size of the unit to meet your needs. We had a lot of luggage, and Eirini came and helped take the luggage up a flight of stairs from a square by the sea where the taxi driver let us off. From there, it was less than a minute to our first floor unit--decorated nicely with everything we needed. It had a small kitchenette with well stocked refrigerator, bowl of fruit awaiting us, pots and pans, dishes, and a washer dryer combo, but the owner offered to do our wash, so we accepted. While there are voices you can hear from local adjoining taverns, it was quiet for sleeping. We really loved the location. 5 minutes walk to the sea and main square. It is right around the corner from the Venetian Well, a very romantic gourmet organic restaurant worth going to for our wedding anniversary. And we went twice. One for indoor dining and one for outdoor dining. The opera music in the background there enhanced our meal. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the connection with the owner as well as the unit. She was very heartful, generous, and very helpful. The only draw back I could see is that the bathroom is very small. If you are a big person, the bath could be difficult to get in and out of. The bath is the size of a number of travel trailers we have been in. If you need pin drop quiet, pick a different unit. We liked the excitement of being able to walk right out to eating places, near the sea for eye candy views and swimming, and one of the 5 museums is an easy walk adjoining the main square by the sea and park, which we also went to during our 3 night stay. We would love to return for another stay here.
