'Bedrock' är ett mycket bekvämt, hemtrevligt hus vid Aughrus Beach, med fantastisk utsikt över Atlanten och de tolv Bens. Den ligger på 5 hektar och backar på Aughrus sjön.
3 sovrum - 2 badrum (ett med eget badrum), och köket finns matplats fullt utrustat med diskmaskin och mikrovågsugn.
Det finns en gasgrill, 2 solstolar och ett bordtennisbord i friliggande garage. Tvättmaskinen och torktumlare finns också där.
Husdjur tillåtet.
Huset ligger en kort bilresa från Renvyle House Hotel, Connemara National Park och Kylemore Abbey. Det är 10 minuters bilresa till ett urval restauranger, butiker och barer i Clifden.
Det finns en femstjärnig dykanläggning i Killary, 30 minuters bilresa.

Wonderful House

A home away from home with everything we needed for a holiday. Wonderful location for walking - seaside, laneways or Connemara. The home is cosy and a great place to relax. A great host, responsive and helpful.

Fantastic House & Location

This is a beautiful house in a lovely, quiet location. Very well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. We didn't need to use the log fire but sure that will be fantastic and make the place very cosy in the winter months. We had a great stay and look forward to hopefully staying again.

Wonderful Stay

Gail, thank you very much for opening up this beautiful place we would be happy to call our home. The house was clean and perfectly set up for a lovely comfortable stay. When we had any questions you were always quick to respond. The location is fantastic and the views are out of this world. Note to the next people staying here, bring binoculars because the vews out to the ocean are fantastic!

Wonderful house

I would highly recommend this house for families and kids. Have being coming to Claddaghduff area for last 40 years and this is by far the best house yet. I’m glad that I got he opportunity to use the house this year. I wish Gail the very best.

Wonderful isn’t enough…

Wonderful isn’t enough to describe this house near the nice village of Cleggan located few minutes walk away from dreamlike beaches and the most beautyful nature. House itself is outstanding and features everything you will need. Galway is bit over an hour to drive, the surrounding area is stunning. Thank you for a stay that we will hold in dear remembrance!

Lovely home

This is a lovely, clean and comfortable home. It is past Cleggan, which is a nice village, and on a big piece of land. It isn't far from Clifden but was a bit further out than we expected. Other than the wind, it was super quiet. The first floor bedrooms were very comfortable and the shower was huge and amazing. Upstairs, my husband found the slanted ceiling a bit confining and the bathroom small for a tall guy. The only thing that surprised me when I got my check in message from the owner was that there was an additional charge of 50 Euro for electric and heat. I didn't see that mentioned anywhere before. Olivers Bar has very good food in Cleggan and the laundry machines are in the garage - two tips.

Great stay in Galway!

House was great and in good condition. 3 good bedrooms and a separate area for the kids upstairs. It was great sitting by the fire listening to the wind outside. 2 min walk to a little beach (Anchor Beach) which the kids loved exploring at low tide. We swam on 3 days in November! Recommended host and property

Absolutely fab

We had an amazing week. Beautiful house. Very homely, cosy and spacious. Our three kids aged 11, 8 and 6 loved anchor beach which is a walk away. Bedrock has everything needed for families staying. Only one recommendation is an outdoor tap after beach trips. We plan on another trip. Highly reccomend xx

Lovely Cottage

Perfect getaway

We are a family of 5 and have stayed here a number of times. We love both the house and the area. The house has been updated since our last visit and is very comfortable and well equipped. It is near a beautiful, small beach with lots of local walks and a pub/shop nearby in Claddaghduff. Omey Island, Inisbofin, Clifden and Letterfrack are within easy reach. For us it is a perfect and peaceful getaway.

Fantastic place to stay

We had a real good time at Bedrock. Perfectly located for beach and dog walks. Only 10’ drive from Cleggan where you can enjoy perfect seafood at Oliver’s. We only missed WiFi at the house but the owners said they were looking into this in the near future.

A wonderful holiday

By far the best house my family have stayed in, in the West of Ireland. Very well equipped for all weathers and a wonderful design that makes the most of the landscape without being flashy or inappropriate. An absolute pleasure to stay in this lovely home.

Really comfortable house in beautiful location

Family of 5 with three teenagers. The house was perfect, really spacious and comfortable with a fantastic shower. The location is absolutely beautiful if you are looking for a quiet beachside holiday, with loads of things to do in the area and great supermarkets and shops in Cliften only 20/25 mins away.

Pure Entschleunigung

Wir waren nicht zum ersten mal hier. Die Lage ist traumhaft. Rundum gibt es nur Natur und das ist gut so. Auto ist unbedingt erforderlich.

Traumhafte Lage

Wirklich ein sehr schönes Haus in bester Lage. Direkt am Meer und hinter dem Haus ein See. Leider mussten wir bei der Anreise erst mal eine Stunde putzen. Sonst hätten wir überall 5 Sterne vergeben.

A comfortable house with excellent facilities in a truly idyllic setting.

we had a really enjoyable stay. the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped and the wet room looks brand new. the location was perfect for our needs. only down side was that some of the chests of drawers in bedrooms were dusty/ dirty/ damp smelling inside and needing cleaning out. there was also an odd smell in the bunk bed room which I could not locate the source of. Neither of these issues would stop us from staying there again.

Beautiful Bolthole

Bedrock is the ideal place when you want to get away from it all. Stunning scenery, beautiful walks, and excellent cottage with everything that you need. Cleggan Village is close by and Clifden a short drive away,. We had a fabulous few days away, and already planning when to return.

Großartige Lage, aber im Haus könnte noch einiges getan werden

Die Lage ist tatsächlich besser, als auf den Fotos zu erkennen. Aus den vorderen Fenstern sieht man links die "Anchor Bay" und am Horizont Inishbofin, rechts die 12 Bens. Am hinteren Ende des sehr großen Grundstücks hat man einen direkten Zugang zum Aughrusbeg Lough. "Aber". Sauberkeit war bei unserem Bezug ein Thema. Kühlschrank, Herd und Mülleimer in der Küche waren innen und außen so dreckig, dass wir sie vor Benutzung reinigen mussten. Alle Arbeitsflächen klebten. Den Backofen und den Grill haben wir wegen Dreck nicht benutzt. Schade, weil dies alles mit relativ wenig Aufwand zu verbessern wäre. Wifi gibt es nicht, aber das Mobilnetz ist sehr gut. Im Haus ist das Bad im Erdgeschoss sehr schön renoviert, an vielen anderen Stellen hat man es mit dem "shabby"-Trend übertrieben (Schranktüren fallen auseinander, Schubladen ohne Knöpfe etc.). Die alten Türen und Bohlen knarzen, aber das gehört zum Ambiente. Die Matratzen sind leider alt und durchgelegen. Insgesamt bleibt uns unser Aufenthalt aber positiv in Erinnerung, da das Haus selbst, das große Grundstück und der herrliche, nahe Strand Anlass für bleibende, schöne Erinnerungen geben.
