Huvudbyggnaden är en 3 600 s. f. 5-sovrum A-ram med 3 badrum och 10 sovplatser. Huvudhuset har 800 s. f. av övre däck, 800 s. f. av lägre uteplats, en inbyggd grill och en fiskrengöringsstation.

1.300 s. f. gästhemmet sover 5 på övervåningen och inkluderar ett spelrum med biljardbord och ping-pongbord. Varor som diskhanddukar, disk och köksutrustning ingår för din vistelse. Fastigheten har också fem 42-tums platt-tv, två eldstäder och en bar med en mixer och ett kylskåp.

Andra faciliteter inkluderar en flytande baddocka, en båtbrygga och kanotpaddling på sjön, samt fiske efter liten munbas, crappie och blå gill. Christmas in July

Hidden Gem!

Great lake house close to home! Perfect set up for family get together. Game room perfect for the kids with their own sleeping quarters. Loved the views and lots of time on the lake! Kids loved access to the canoe!

A little paradise

This is a fabulous lake house. Me and my family had a really fun time. House is very secluded, lots of space in the house and the property, close to Chicago, plenty of nature to enjoy. We hope to come back again.

Lakehouse getaway

This was our second time at this location and we will be back again. The location is out of this world. It feels like you are in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, however, it's right here in Illinois. Plenty of room for extended family to spread out and the lake and fishing is outstanding.

Annual 4th of July Trip

We had a great experience and stay. The property is in a great secluded location with a decent pond. There were just a few things the property didn’t have that we found out via reviews or on arrival but it wasn’t anything too major. Great play, we would stay again in the future.

Western Illinois Lake House

Our family had a great time. Nice accommodations; everything we needed. Very quiet and peaceful. Only complaint is I was told when I asked that the lake was free of algae blooms, which surprised me since it was late July. In actuality, it was about 1/3 covered in algae. In fairness, the swimming area was pretty clear.

Awesome Experience Again!

The property is huge and secluded which is a plus. We enjoyed fire pits at night and hiking during the day. Lake is footsteps away to fish and row boat. This time we did not get lucky with the fish. Kids enjoyed the swings and slide and the game room. This was our second year in a row coming here and are looking forward to next time. Great family memories to be made here!

Friend weekend

This property is beautiful. Exactly as stated in the listing. Great canoe. Great Johnboat. We brought our paddle board. A kayak would be fun on the lake. Kids swam off dock in middle of lake. Kitchen is well appointed. Cute bar area downstairs- nice to have an extra frig. Need to bring own bath towels and washcloths. Air conditioning worked well. Guest house was perfect for our teenagers. Multiple TVs and cable were great as well. Plenty of space for a big group. Fire pit with plenty of firewood.

Another great weekend in Chadwick

This is the second year in a row that our group of friends and family have stayed at the property. I would echo everything from the first review without hesitation. Great hosts to work with and a very well-stocked and maintained house. The outside is truly where we spend most of our time with an enormous lot for any activity desired. The pictures are great but don’t do the property justice - it’s a wonderful place to spend time and make memories. Thanks again, Jeff & Vicki!

Great Weekend getaway!

We stayed at the lakehouse as a weekend getaway from Chicago. The house was very clean and exactly as described! We only had 7 people, but the house could accommodate a much larger group. Great outdoor space! We enjoyed the canoe and fire pit. I only took off a star because we had trouble with the AC cooling down the house and there was a wasps next outside on the top of the A frame. We had to get a few of them out of the house upon arrival. Would recommend for a getaway with family or friends!

House very well kept, beautiful views, secluded from everything, private drive way, gated property. Stores 7 mins away. Plenty of firewood. Game room was on point. No bath towels was the only down side, I assumed there will be towels. Great property, definitely added to my favorite, will definitely be back. Thankyou

We had a wonderful time and great weather.

There are 3 areas of concern. One wasp colony in attic buzzing around. Two, probably related to time of year but many insects in room above game room. Lastly, there was no griddle for cooking 🥞.

A wonderful weekend in Chadwick

This house had it all for our annual family guys trip. On the inside: plenty of clean beds, beautiful furnishings and very new kitchens and floors. Great to watch TV in the family room(s), enjoy drinks by the bar, and cook anything we needed. On the outside: very well maintained grounds, excellent fire pit area, gorgeous deck and patio area, and a picturesque lake for views 24-7. Our group of 9 was very comfortable for the duration and the amenities exceeded expectations. Communication with the hosts were always answered within 30 minutes, and everything was set up such that we needed no assistance for the entire trip. Thanks Jeff & Vicki for a great time!

Family get together

Very nice home, plenty of space for 15 - kids, adults, and 2 under age 18 months. Made it very easy to get in. I text with questions we had and they responded quickly with the answers. Loved all the outdoor seating and fire pit. Bunk house was a hugh hit. All 5 girls fit nicely upstairs to sleep. They had to come over to lake house for the bathroom though. The sandy beach they said was there is more like a place to park the boats. John Boat leaked, we flex taped it so we could use it. Paddle boat did not have a steering mechanism so we took the canoe paddles out with it to steer with. Loved the canoe, ping pong and pool table. Swing set and slide are a nice touch. Did a little fishing. Neighbors on otherside of lake did not bother us with their party's. All around great stay.

Girl’s Getaway

House was nice and big for our group of 10 ladies. The pond wasn’t swimmable but we did use the canoe. The duckweed covers the surface in the morning and moves over throughout the day so if you are brave enough you could swim in the evening. The paddle boat wasn’t steerable. The upstairs kitchen is well stocked. The only way to get from the ground floor to the upper kitchen is either the spiral staircase or the back outdoor stairs. Tons of nature and animals all over. There was an issue with the water pressure on our last day but communication with the host went well and we tried our best conserve what we could. The house had a few towels but definitely bring your own as well as your own soap/Shampoo. Easy check in process and super private location. Grill is charcoal so bring charcoal if you plan to use. Nice trail system in the back woods.

Family Friends Getaway

We had a wonderful weekend staying here! The house and lake were great for our purposes. The house was a little dirty, especially the inside of the refrigerators. The layout of the house was wonderful and had multiple refrigerators, which was great for storing food and drinks for 3 families. We had plenty of room to spread out and sleeping arrangements were great. The fire pit was awesome and we had lots of room to set up bean bag tournaments. We had a great time. We wanted a weekend to just relax, fish, kayak and hang out with each other. When we arrived, the teens went to fish right away and there were a lot of dead fish in the lake. It was pretty gross. I messaged Shelly to ask her about it and she mentioned an algae bloom and suggested not swimming. She was very responsive to messages, which we appreciated very much. As a renter, it would have maybe been nice to know about that before coming to stay to avoid maybe anyone getting sick from the water, etc. But, it all worked out and we made the best of it the next few days fishing and kayaking. Thanks for letting us stay at your place!

incredible views and spacious house

Stayed here for a family retreat with about 14 adults and 8 kids and had more than enough room. We enjoyed the fishing and beach area a lot. bluegills are plentiful. The young people enjoyed the game room and park areas as well. The views were amazing! There was a lot of late nights and early morning conversations watching the sunset and rise. We walked the trails and tried to experience the nature in all its forms. We had smores over the campfire and watched movies outside on a screen and projector we brought with us. The management was attentive and whenever I called or emailed they responded swiftly. True customer service. I have nothing really bad to say about the experience but I will give 2 cents for those coming a distance. Please shop well. There are no major stores really close. We ran out of coffee and creamer and the most essential, beer and had to ride about 30 mins or so. They provided a Weber grill, but I really wanted to use the stone smoker in all the pictures. I spent a day smoking it out with the wood logs trying to clean out all of the bugs etc because it hadn't been used in a while and made grill racks out of ingenuity. But that was some of the best smoked meat I have ever had. Please try it!! There was no TV in the garage room which would have made the room perfect for our use. Overall this is exactly what my family needed and we all feel closer because of the experience.

Quiet getaway

We chose to find a place that looked relaxing and peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This property met and exceeded all our expectations. We were able to get away from the busyness of the holiday season and just be present with each other. The walking trails, playground area, ping pong and pool tables were great options for fun entertainment. There was plenty of sleeping spaces and the kitchen had everything we needed. The scenery was spectacular with a beautiful lake and gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. 10/10 recommend to others.
