Elaine & Johns Cottages är femstjärniga lyx med modern inredning och komfort. Skäm bort dig själv med mycket att göra och se medan du bor i ett riktigt hemifrån. Byn Plains, Airdrie på A89. Beläget i hjärtat av centrala Skottland mitt mellan Glasgow och Edinburgh är vårt centrala läge en idealisk bas för båda städerna. Koppla av i vår traditionella skotska stuga som är från 1900, en tidigare gruvarbetare som nu har renoverats med bibehållna funktionsperioder.

Utrymmet
Gästerna kommer att ha full och obegränsad tillgång till hela stugan under sin vistelse. Det finns också en stor inhägnad trädgård som gästerna kan använda. Stugan är ljus och luftig och loungen har en koleld med liggande stolar. Detta är inte ett festhem.

Gäståtkomst
Stugan som ligger i nivå från ett steg har enkel åtkomst. Privat parkering för bilar på stugan.

Andra saker att notera
Stugan ligger i ett fantastiskt läge. Bara ett par minuter från den lokala stormarknaden tillsammans med andra butiker, barer och restauranger. Stugan ligger bara några minuter från alla stora motorvägsförbindelser. Euro central och Strathclyde affärspark ligger bara en kort bilresa. Det finns många lokala parker och attraktioner i närheten för gäster att njuta av. Det finns en cykelväg från Airdrie till Bathgate. Eastermoffat golfbana ligger utanför dörren.

Huset ligger drygt en mil från Drumgelloch järnvägsstation som ger direktförbindelser till Edinburgh och Glasgow. Stationen är en snabb körning, £ 4 i en taxi eller en 20 minuters promenad. Tåg är cirka var 20 minuter och det tar 40 minuter till Edinburgh och 30 minuter till Glasgow. Tåg till Edinburgh är £ 18 i toppavkastning eller £ 13 för högre retur. Tåg till Glasgow är högst 7 returer eller £ 5 utanför topp-retur. Motorväg M8 ligger bara 10 minuter bort och erbjuder direktförbindelser till Edinburgh, Glasgow.

Stugan är mycket central med enkel tillgång till Stirling, Livingston, Perth, Loch Lomond, Trossachs och Clyde Valley.

Great quiet place

Had a wonderful stay at Elaine's super clean cottage. Elaine is lovely, such a kind host. The place was ideal for myself and my daughter, great location, quiet and peaceful, with parking right outside. The king bed in the master bedroom was perfect and the single bed in the other bedroom was also comfortable. The bathroom had a shower over the bath, which had great water pressure and plentiful hot water. Everything we needed to make a meal was included in the kitchen, plenty of cupboard space, microwave, hob, oven, fridge freezer, cafetiere as well as a washer, so you can pack light. Elaine left biscuits, tea, coffee and porridge for us, which was a lovely touch. The hot tub was a real treat, nice to relax in, despite the unseasonably cold and wet August weather, (tip-bring flip flops and a dressing gown). We were in town for a skating event at the local rink, so we didn't have the chance to sight-see, but the cottage is ideally placed for trips to both Glasgow and Edinburgh. We can however, recommend "The Mint" in Coatbridge, great restaurant, highly recommend a meal here. The cottage is such a lovely place, we hope to return next year. Thank you Elaine

Beautiful cottage

We had such a wonderful short break. The cottage was spotless, very spacious (both inside and out), and had everything we needed. Some lovely, thoughtful touches. Very comfy beds. Plenty of seating space in the living room. Our little dog loved the huge garden (which is completely secure) to do zoomies in, and we loved the hot tub! Elaine and her family were fantastic, so lovely and helpful, and answered our queries really quickly. I would highly recommend this lovely home! Thank you Elaine and family Xx

Excellent stay

All descriptions spot on. We have had a great stay, Elaine our host was so lovely and couldn’t do enough to accommodate some unexpected plans during our stay. Elaine alone is 5* +. Lovely cottage and spotless, quiet location. Looking forward to our next stay.

Very Comfortable Cottage

We spent 3 nights at this cosy cottage over New Year. Elaine was a fantastic host, very friendly and happy to help with anything. The cottage was very clean and cosy with everything we needed. The hot tub was a bonus which we very much enjoyed.

Family get away

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. Elaine was a wonderful Host, met us when we arrived showed us how things worked. Enjoyed the hot tub. Close to shops and transit. Comfortable cottage lots of space, lots of windows to let the light in. Comfortable beds.

Pure Scottish

We found Elaine’s property to be just right for our family of four. We used it as a home base to get out and around the area: Hamilton, Falkirk, Ayrshire… the home was comfortable with everything we needed for cooking in and living comfortably. The decor is pure Scotland and we particularly liked the sun room and back garden for sitting and visiting. Happy to highly recommend the place!

Fabulous

Arrived at the property for a short break with my two children. Absolutely amazing service from the hostess who even came to the property to assist with the hot tub and gave us some fabulous places to visit. The property was lovely, clean, tidy and perfect for us. We were so sad to leave. Will deffo be returning !!!!!

Absolute gem.

Fabulous cottage - immaculate and very well equipped. Owner was lovely - very friendly and welcoming (even turned back after passing us on the road to show us around when we arrived!) Lovely location for getting out and about during the week and the hit tub was very amazing after some log walks! Highly recommended, definitely one to return to.

Excellent cottage for get aways.

We booked the cottage as a get away for a few days. The booking process was easy and Elaine was very quick to reply to any quereys we had. The cottage is wonderful with loads of space in the 2 bedrooms and massive living/dining room. To top it off the hot tub outside is fantastic. Stopped for a few days but could have stopped longer as its hone from home. Simon

Lovely short stay

The property was very clean and really well presented. Elaine was a great host - she came to greet us when we had arrived and made sure we knew how to work the hot tub and had information/recommendations on the local area. Overall a great stay, we feel very rested afterwards and the hot tub was an added bonus.

Great Weekend

A fab place for a relaxing weekend with friends. Elaine came to show us round and gave us info of a walk and takeaways. Hot tub was amazing and the Lilly Loch definitely worth a visit for a walk. Would definitely come back here for another weekend away.

Nice location, amazing property, cottage was well presented and clean, hot tub amazing, cant fault this place one bit. owner came by shortly after we checked in to make sure everything was what we needed, 10/10 for that. will definetely be back again in the future
