Summary:
A double story row house situated high up in Camps Bay, with incredible sea views. A beautifully furnished holiday home which is situated in a quiet residential part of Camps Bay.
It backs on to the Table Mountain Nature Reserve and enjoys magnificent mountain views from the back bedrooms.
You can access the nature reserve via a locked gate at the back of the complex.

The Space:
One of a small block of 9 terrace houses, this double story 3 bedroom apartment is situated high up in Camps Bay, in a very quiet, family friendly neighbourhood. It has a lovely outdoor area and incredible sea views.

The lower level is an open plan dining and living area which leads onto the large balcony with uninterrupted sea views, a swimming pool and outdoor seating.

The well equipped kitchen is towards the back of this level and leads off of the dining area. There is also a guest toilet.

Upstairs, you will find 3 bedrooms all air conditioned. The master bedroom has a private balcony with sea views and seating. The en-suite bedroom is open plan (with an enclosed toilet). Bedrooms 2 & 3 are smaller, have mountain views and share a bathroom.

Due to the close proximity of this apartment to the neighbours, this apartment doesn't allow any parties.

This apartment is also equipped with battery backups so you won't be without light or entertainment during periods of load shedding (rolling blackouts) which happen from time to time in South Africa. The backup batteries power all lights and most plugs in the property, as well as WiFi, so most entertainment options work. There is also a gas BBQ/braai on the patio, so cooking is no problem at all.

LOAD SHEDDING BACK UP
What is Powered: All lights, Wifi router, living room plugs and the TV in the living room.
What Isn’t Powered: None of the kitchen appliances, air conditioners, bedroom plugs or the geyser. The property doesn’t have a gas hob.

HOUSEKEEPING
This home has housekeeping Monday - Saturday excluding Sundays and Public Holidays. Additional housekeeping can be arranged for these days on request.

Getting Around:
Camps Bay is conveniently located ten minutes from central Cape Town and approximately 25 minutes from the airport. We recommend getting around using Uber or renting your own vehicle.

Other Things to Note:
Part of the downstairs balcony is overlooked by the adjacent apartment. No more than eight people allowed on the property at any time (six residents and two visitors). No parties allowed due to close proximity to neighbours.

Very Beautiful Property

Incredible views of the Mountains and Ocean. The space is very stylish with a contemporary feel.

Tired accommodation, poorly managed

The accommodation lacked any love, care or attention. It was in desperate need of redecoration with marks on walls and in need of countless repairs (broken floor tiles, chips, marks, broken lights hanging off the wall, broken shower heads, insecure pool gate, decking not stained etc). The property was not clean and despite raising the issue and having a 'deep clean' done during the stay was no different - thick of dust in places, smelly toilet in main bedroom, weeds in yard off kitchen, overgrown ivy in pool, dirty pool water etc. The wind in this location is fierce and the seals on windows and doors were wholly inadequate, causing huge drafts and whistling noises keeping us awake at night and meaning the 3rd bedroom we required for our child couldn't be used some nights as it was too cold. The underfloor heating didn't work, and despite being given a gas heater this made just a small difference and could only be used when our child wasn't around for safety concerns. We tried to address these issues during our stay through our check-in person, but got completely fobbed off. We had to complain and had a visit from the owner who admitted it was well below standard. Nox did agree a substantial reduction on what we paid, but this was a once in a lifetime honeymoon spoilt by the property that no size of refund could replace. I would strongly urge you only to stay here if it has been comprehensively modernised and improved.
