Brilliant bungalow

This is a fantastic property to stay in used it a few times, to go to Donington park racing circuit. Close to shops and restaurants. The bungalow is lovely and clean property owners friendly very helpful.

Helpful Hosts

Very helpful hosts who sourced extras for us so we could bake a birthday cake for our granddaughter's first birthday. Host waited patiently for us (when we miss navigated) to show us round and how things worked. Grand daughters loved the garden which was safe for them to play in.

Long weekend

My wife, myself and our son spent a long weekend at the property. It is clean, tidy, comfortable, well equipped and in a quiet area. Would definitely stay again.

Trip to daughters graduation

The bungalow was very cozy and well appointed and had everything we needed for our stay . Lovely quiet area near some nice pubs and countryside and yet only about 14 mins from Loughborough on quiet roads .the owner was very helpful and accommodating so we can’t fault our stay . Would definitely stay there again if we were in the area

Well equipped, clean and comfy

We booked this property because it was fairly near a family wedding at Prestwold Hall. The bungalow was v well equipped, clean and comfy. East Leake looked like a nice village with good pubs but sadly didn't have time to explore

We were staying here for family wedding

As mentioned we were here for family wedding the owners were very helpful. We needed for our stay the beds were very comfy and it was immaculate. Felt sofa not mega comfy but it was suitable the rest spot on.

Booked for relatives for Grandson’s wedding. Beautifully maintained, clean bungalow. John was patient with my changes of entry time. Thank you. Excellent communication with Karen although I did find Vrbo a bit of a chore at my advanced years!

Well appointed property in the heart of a small, vibrant village

An excellent "find" in a pleasant village within easy reach of Nottingham and the surrounding area. Quiet, well appointed, easy to find and within walking distance of all the village amenities, this was a stylish property with every modern comfort including a well equipped kitchen, pleasant garden, good Wifi and comfortable bed. It was spotlessly clean and the hosts were both welcoming and very helpful. Highly recommended!

East Leake review

The property was previously rented by my daughter. My other daughter lives in East Leake. The house was very clean. It was just what we needed. Would highly recommend this location to others.

Quiet, comfortable & everything you need.

Lovely bungalow with everything you need for a short stay. Quiet, comfortable and clean. Toilet seat needs replacing & there is a slight ant problem in the kitchen but nothing major. A Co-op and plenty of cafes & takeaways only a few minutes walk away & plenty of crockey & cutlery in the bungalow. Owner met us on arrival to show us around their home. Pleasant & helpful. Would stay again.

Really lovely place to stay, everything you needed. Just feel around back garden the path and patio area needed attention as there was different levels in a small area. 5 min walk and there is coop, butchers , fish and chips and Chinese takeaways.All good ! Whilst there we visited Belvoir Castle, went on steam train at Great Central Railway at Loughborough,and also went to Nottingham-we went on park and ride on tram highly recommended.

Perfect location and perfect cottage.

It was cozy, had a very comfortable bed and was a great location to spend time throughout east midlands. It was exactly as advertised. The kitchen was fitted out with everything you need - Refrigerator, freezer, dish washer, clothes washer and Microwave. Everything was in good working order and easy to operate. It has a nice yard with a table and chairs out there, plus a nice sun room, with lots of seating. It is located in the small village of East Leake, which has plenty of places to eat. There is a Coop grocery store and a great bakery. Owners are very friendly and fast to respond. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Disappointed with cleanliness in bathroom and state of garden

The property was pleasantly situated but we were disappointed with some of the cleanliness and especially the state of the back garden. There was black and pink mould and bacteria on the underneath of the shower mat and black mould spores came out of the shower head when we turned it on. Consequently we did not use the shower during our visit. There is no lock on the bathroom door and the door was ill-fitting and swings open at any time. The toilet seat is not correct for the toilet. The small freezer is housed within a cupboard in the kitchen. We bought some food to freeze in it but it could not reach a temperature where it could freeze unfrozen fresh food. It would keep pre-packed frozen food frozen. We had to keep the cupboard door, where the freezer is situated, open for the duration of our stay. Otherwise, if the cupboard door is closed, the top of the freezer becomes extremely hot, almost too hot to touch. The sofa in the lounge, which is probably a sofa bed, was uncomfortable to sit on apart from the chaise longue type section at one end. The wood or metal along the front edge of the seating is uncomfortable as it presses into a person’s legs behind the knees. The back garden was our biggest concern. The warm weather has naturally resulted in the grass being scorched and dry and that is to be expected. However, parts of the garden are full of large, dangerous briars and nettles. We could not let my grandsons play in the garden because of those and because the garden concrete etc is broken and dangerous. There was also a length of rusty metal guttering left on the ground. The metal garden table is rusty and coming apart. I was amazed to see a recent review that stated that the garden was well kept. It is most definitely not. The owner insisted on meeting us at the property on our arrival. We explained that we did not have a planned arrival time and I felt as though we were inconveniencing them as we arrived in the evening. There is a key safe at the front door of the property and we would have preferred to let ourselves in and been free to arrive when we wanted to. The owner was pleasant and communication with Karen was easy and we received timeous responses.
