Bellini Apartment Catania

The apartment was well designed and nicely decorated. it was clean upon arrival. The neighborhood was not what I was expecting. The Bellini theater was in the same piazza which drew in many people who wished to see a show. The Piazza was also filled with restaurants and cafe. The streets were walkable. no parking onsite, but the host was able to direct us to a parking lot very close. The host was very accommodating, and communication with Grazia was very good. Overall we had a good time.

From the very beginning this host communicated promptly and was extremely helpful. Gave me many suggestions for places to eat and even helped book a personal Chef for New Year Eve. He was wonderdul also and everything at this apartment made our experience in Catania perfect. Thanks again for everything. The bedroom is in the back of the apartment and was very quite. We will recommend to everyone that we know that travels to Italy. Thanks again!!

The apartment was very nice, comfortable, big and clean. The apartment is facing a piazza but with the bedroom in the back, it was quiet for sleeping. It is central and convenient to all dining options. Conversations with the host was easy and she was very responsive. We had a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Great location and view

This apt overlooks Piazza Bellini and comes with a great kitchen, super dark and quiet bedroom, comfortable LR with big Smart TV. A/C in every room. Great stay.

Teatro Bellini centre

Great location for a 3 night stay. Located in the classical square of Teatro Bellini surrounded with numerous cafes, it felt grand! Our apartment was very spacious, clean, modern and comfortable. Our host Graziana was always available for any inquiries and was our personal concierge for restaurant suggestions and guided site seeing suggestions.

Absolutely Amazing

The location is great. The apartment is spacious (larger than any European apartment we have stayed in). Well appointed with all of the amenities we hoped for. It is actually better than we imagined. We had the opportunity to attend a recital at the Massimo theater across the piazza and it is magnificent. Our host is gracious and always ready to help. We highly recommend this apartment and wonderful host.

A lovely stay

We enjoyed this property very much. We had only a couple of easy to fix issues. We were delayed at the airport, so the husband had to meet us and show us around due to our being late. As such, he didn't know all the answers to show us around, but we figured it out. Not an actual problem...and he was very sweet. The parking is challenging in the area. We would have appreciated a little more assistance with this...such as knowing Sundays are free for street parking. Overall a lovely property in a great walkable area. Comfortable and clean.

Great location and amenities

This centrally located apartment has everything you will need for a short-term stay. It is tastefully decorated and quiet for sleeping. You can have the housekeeper pick you up and drop you off at the airport too.

Perfect location and great place

My husband and I loved our stay at this apartment in Catania. Our view from the balcony was the Historic Bellini Theatre across from the piazza. There were coffee cafes and all kinds of restaurants in walking distance. The host had the housekeeper meet us and help carry our bags up a couple flights of stairs. There is not an elevator but without bags we didn’t mind the steps. The apartment was very clean with all the amenities we would want. The bed was very comfortable and the space was more than we needed. Even though we did no cooking, the kitchen has an open space and everything you may need. The place is decorated very nicely with a washer/dryer as well. The host went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. They are right next door if needed but we never had to bother them. The area is very safe with much going on in the evening but yet quiet. We highly recommend both the apartment and the gracious There is also air conditioning in all rooms which makes it very comfortable when warmer outside. Everything to see is in walking distance of the apartment. We did take an Uber to the ancient ruins which I highly recommend and walked to the fish market and waterfront. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable

Overlooking the Piazza

Gorgeous apartment in a very central location in the historic city centre of Catania. So many cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. The Piazza can get quite busy some evenings, but as the bedroom is located at the rear of the apartment it is surprisingly quiet. There is also a fantastic bus service (Alibus) that does a circuit from the airport to Catania city centre running every 15min for €4pp.

Absolutely beautiful roomy apartment. Very comfortable - even the pull-out sofa bed. Walking to our points of interest was easy and our tour to Etna was able to pick us up across the street. We all commented that we'd like a place just like this to call our own!

Absolutely gorgeous apartment in the center of Catania

To start, the pictures don't do this place justice. It seems newly renovated and immaculately designed/cleaned. The apartment is absolutely gorgeous with a combination of old and modern features that really make it feel like you're living/staying in a modern Sicilian villa. The kitchen comes fully equipped (I stayed here by myself and didn't have to use most of the kitchen supplies). The bedroom and bedding were very luxe. The location is absolutely perfect as the front of the apartment overlooks into the Piazza Teatro Bellini and onto the Bellini theater. So walkable to all the good restaurants/cafes. I felt very safe in the neighborhood even when returning late at night. Grazia and Mario made checking in and out of the apartment incredibly easy and Grazia was very responsive to messages on WhatsApp. I absolutely loved my stay here and whole heartedly recommend it to anyone else looking to stay short or long term in Catania. The space comfortably fits 2 people but I think it'd be difficult to have more people stay here as it's only one bedroom/one bath and there's no other good place to have a cot/air mattress even though the apartment itself is VERY spacious.

Great location

Place is in the middle of historic part of Catania. It’s noise and unfortunately loud music at night. We did not mind it as we were tired and air conditioning was coming the noise. Everything else was great.

On the Square

Comfortable in center of Catania

This is a very nice apartment nicely located in the center of Catania. The owners went out of their way to communicate prior to my arrival from the US. They met me when I arrived and helped me find parking, showed me the things I needed to know about the apartment, and provided recommendations on restaurants and places to visit. Every recommendation was excellent. The apartment was very comfortable and the piazza was quiet at night and a good place to find food, including excellent gelato. It’s a short 4 block walk to the duomo and pedestrian area. I have lived in Italy in the past, and quickly felt at home again. There are certain challenges that come with driving and parking in the center of any Italian city, but the owners were very helpful and I had no problems during my week long stay. I would stay here again.

This apartment has everything in one package. It’s location is in a small, quiet and cute square directly across from the Teatro with a little cafe to one side. It’s surprisingly quiet for being in the city just a few blocks from the Duomo and wonderfully exuberant fish market. There is an excellent free walking tour of Catania. Sign up online. The side streets leading into the square are worn but clean enough and feel perfectly safe. The apartment is in a pretty building which makes up one side of the square. On the inside, it is tastefully decorated with current furnishings. You are greeted with a fresh, clean scent and a open feel as two sets of narrow double doors open onto small balconies that look out onto the square. An upright piano sits in the entryway and is quite playable. The air conditioners work well in every room. The bed is large and bedding very comfortable. The washer and kitchen appliances are in good working order. There was a small bottle of water waiting in the fridge as well as basic cooking condiments. You may want to bring your own shower gel, shampoo and conditioner if that’s important to you. Plenty of hot water and good lighting in the bathroom and throughout the apartment. The host was so sweet and helpful. A wonderful experience!

Clean and Spacious Apartment

The apartment is as described on the VRBO site. It is spacious, well-equipped and very clean. You have a lovely view of Teatro Bellini, and the piazza below has several cafes and restaurants. At first, I was worried it would be noisy, but that was not the case at all. The bedroom is in the back of the apartment and does not face the piazza. We heard no noise at night and had restful nights of sleep. That apartment is in an ideal location. You are within walking distance of the main attractions, and via Etna is a fun street to stroll down. Don't miss the Scirocco Sicilian Fish lab in the Fish Market area! The host and her housekeeper were excellent communicators. They get back to you immediately and are ready to answer any questions you have. The host checks in to see how things are going and offers advice on places to go. The housekeeper charges a reasonable fee for airport pick-up and drop-off. You are in good hands with this host and her housekeeper.

Amazing experience!

We absolutely loved this place, it was stunning! Situated in the heart of Catania, with an incredible view of the Bellini theatre, as advertised. The hosts were incredibly helpful to us, especially in finding parking as we arrived on a very busy Saturday night. I can't imagine having done this without their help, they truly made us feel like family! The master bedroom is beautiful and the bed is extremely comfortable. The apartment has everything you would need -laundry, iron, umbrellas, and a fully functioning kitchen. Honestly a fantastic experience, we loved it! Grazie Graziana & Carlo!
