TILLGÅNG TILL LIFTER: Den nĂ€rmaste hissen Ă€r hissen La Panthiaz i La Chapelle d'Abondance, bara 700 meter frĂ„n stugan. Det finns en hiss frĂ„n centrum av Chatel som tar dig in i skidomrĂ„det Petit Chatel och ytterligare tvĂ„ hissstationer vid La Linga (4 km) och Pre-La-Joux (6 km) som bĂ„da lĂ€nkar direkt till Portes du Soleil och har stora parkeringsplatser. Det finns en buss som stannar i slutet av vĂ€gen (La Pesse) till bĂ„de La Panthiaz och La Linga hissar. Busschema och pistkarta finns pĂ„ Chatels webbplats.

Beautiful place to stay

Everything we needed to enjoy a week away as a family, skiing area was a short drive away, the house had a great social space and a really relaxed feel. Communication with the host was friendly and helpful, highly recommend.

Lovely chalet

Everything was great and as expected. Owners were responsive and helpful. Kitchen very well stocked.Only negative was very slow internet before it totally failed on one evening. Surprised the beds were not made when we arrived late at night and had to make them ourselves - consequently we did not strip them when we left.

Perfect, everything we needed

Perfectly situated between Chapelle d'Abondance and Chatel. Nice cosy chalet with a very extensive inventory. The double bed room in the cellar is perfect for a 2nd couple because it has its own privacy and bathroom. Very clean.

A perfect holiday. The chalet was amazing - comfortable, great location and fabulous views. It had everything we needed. We had a great 2 weeks and it made up for missing the last 2 years due to Covid. Sam & Rebecca are super hosts. Thank you so much and looking forward to returning.

Lovely cosy chalet

Great accommodation for family skiing week - more than enough room for 4 of us to spread out and everything we needed for cosy evenings and cooking. Beautiful mountain views, very picturesque. There is a ski bus service but you need 2 linked buses or a bit of a walk - we found the best option was to drive to le Linga or Pre la Joux (free parking) or for the Super ChĂątel lift in the centre just drive the few hundred metres to the sports centre bus stop and leave the car there all day. Nice & close to IntermarchĂ© for food and Chapelle-d’Abondance has plenty of restaurants as well as ChĂątel.

Wonderful Chalet Dow

The Chalet is very well appointed and comfortable. It is just as described on the website, has lovely views and is very quiet. The chalet was clean and tidy. The owner was easy to communicate with and offered excellent advice on activities and businesses in the area to assist us with organising our skiing holiday. This was greatly appreciated as we were unfamiliar with what was available in the area and saved us so much time when we arrived. Chalet Dow is very close to the ski areas, the townships of Chatel and La Chapelle D'abondance with lovely restaurants, shops and cinema and there is a supermarket close. This is such a wonderful area to have a skiing holiday with lots of snow, more ski runs that you can possibly do in a week topped off with bright and sunny days all week! Magnificent. Coming home in the evening to Chalet Dow is like comeing home. I have no hesitation in recommending Chalet Dow to family and friends and it will be my good fortune to be able to holiday again there one day.

Great Location, Great Chalet, Great Trip

Its been 35 years since I skied in Chatel, its got bigger!!! The chalet is located 5-6 miles from the main ski school area of Pre La Joux. It takes about 10 mins in the car. Parking is easy if you arrive early at Pre La Joux say 08:15am, time to relax have a coffee put the boots on and get the kids into Ski School. There is an Inter Mache supermarket near the chalet, with cheap petrol and everything you will need. Be aware supermarkets didn't seem to open on Sunday and nothing after 7pm, so dont arrive late and expect to buy food. Parking in Chatel is scarce, so we went the other way into La Chapple and found lovely restaurants. So back to the Chalet, as the title says it was great. It was clean, and all the items that make a stay easier were present. Would I recommend Chalet Dow...yes, the hosts Rebecca and Sam gave very helpful advice, which we took. (such as the ski rental at Vertical Horizons, James was very helpful). Our family was very comfortable at Chalet Dow. Many Thanks

Week-end en famille

HĂ©las une partie du groupe Ă©tait malade. Mais vu le confort du chalet a permis Ă  tous de trouver notre sĂ©jour trĂšs agrĂ©able. Nous avons apprĂ©cier de trouver du bois pour le poĂȘle du salon. La qualitĂ© des lits et la chaleur on permis aux malades de se retaper avant de reprendre leurs travail. Le manque de neige nous a fait nous avons trouvĂ© un puzzle de 1000 piĂšces que nous avons pu rĂ©aliser en 20 h en lieu et place du ski

Tolle Skiwoche

Wir fanden ein gemĂŒtliches, zweckmĂ€ĂŸiges Chalet fĂŒr unseren gemeinsamen Skiurlaub vor.Auch tolle Wanderwege konnte man ab dem Chalet ablaufen.Allerdings benötigen man ein Auto im zur Liftstation zu kommen und das Skigebiet in der NĂ€he ist aufgrund seinen sehr ĂŒberlaufenen Tellerschleppern absolut nicht zu empfehlen.Wir fuhren mit dem Auto nach Chatel, dort gibt es allerdings zu wenig ParkplĂ€tze an der Liftststion.

GemĂŒtliches ChĂąlet in einem ruhigen Quartier

Das ChĂąlet liegt in einem ruhigen Quartier zwischen ChĂątel und La Chappelle und ist mit allem, was man braucht, bestens ausgestattet. Der Wanderweg am nahegelegenen Fluss ist sehr nahe und schön. Praktisch ist auch, dass der grosse Lebensmittelladen zu Fuss erreicht werden kann. Einen Minuspunkt erhalten die Sauberkeit des Backofens und der KĂŒchenschrĂ€nke. Sowie der um eine Stunde verspĂ€tete CheckIn, weil die Reinigung noch nicht abgeschlossen war. Aber sonst haben wir den Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen und können die Unterkunft auch weiter empfehlen.
