Vi är inte "inom gångavstånd" till centrum - vi är downtown!
Ligger i norra änden av centrala Stillwater med en vacker utsikt över floden ligger Main Street HideAway på ett stort parti omgivet av träd och flodslyff. En restaurerad historisk duplex, båda enheterna har 2 privata sovrum och ett badrum. Varje enhet är perfekt för 1 eller 2 par.
Beroende på tillgänglighet, om båda enheterna är tillgängliga kan vårt hem rymma upp till 10 personer.
Vi har genomgått en fullständig restaurering och renovering - badrummen är nya med sten och granit. Kök har högkvalitativa rostfria vitvaror och bänkskivor i granit. Originalgolv, dörrar och träverk refineraseras. Varje enhet har en tvättmaskin och torktumlare.
Gården är underbar, och vi har utomhusbord och en grill.
Var noga med att ta med dina cyklar! Vi ligger tvärs över gatan från 0 milmarkören för Browns Creek Trail. Om du inte har varit på denna spår, är du ute efter en behandling! Det slingrar sig genom skogen och bluffarna och korsar bäcken på ett antal platser.
Våra gårdar ligger också mot en uppsättning av de ökända "Laurel Street Steps" - en promenad uppför dessa steg tar dig direkt till Pioneer Park, där foto ops är fantastiskt.

More than I could have hoped for

Beautiful Property in Ideal Location!

The Main Street Hideaway is exactly as stated -- a great little hideaway in Stillwater! It's situated on a hill with great views of the St. Croix River. I was in the upper unit (unit 2) with great views and 2 small balconies. It's within walking distance to down-town, the Stillwater Lift Bridge, and walking paths. I regularly used the walking paths and crossed the Lift Bridge into Wisc. -- there and back is 3.2 miles/5K. The unit itself has ample room -- 2 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, bathroom, a small work space, and did I mention 2 balconies! :) I really enjoyed my stay. Montey and Terri couldn't have been nicer. Main Street Hideaway was better than I expected!

Fantastic!

We were so pleased with the property! It was VERY clean, the furnishings were all in excellent shape, the linens were all of high quality and so fresh, and the space was perfect for our group of 5 ladies. The location was a comfortable walk from all the excitement of Main Street. Terri and Monty were wonderful to work with, very informative and patient when I made a mistake on my booking. We will most definitely stay again in the future.

Girls weekend

We enjoyed our weekend getaway in Stillwater. The house was very warm and cozy. We had everything we needed. Great location. We could walk to restaurants and shopping which was a plus. Beds were super comfy too.

Great location!

Had an awesome 'end of the Fall' weekend in this awesome rental. Was just at the end of the downtown area to conveniently walk to all the sites and sounds of Stillwater... and if course shopping! So enjoyed the cozy interior as well as the morning coffee and afternoon wine on the porch. We were so grateful this was available for our 32nd anniversary. We shall return! Outstanding stay

First time to MN for my family and it couldn’t have gone better. The house was charming, great views and location. We also enjoyed the tour of the museum next door and were blown away by the beauty of Pioneer Park up the steps from the house. Great property and owners.

Stunning view and a cozy, updated home.

This home has everything you could ever wish for. With large (and super clean) windows to look out of, there is a spectacular view of the river in an awesome location. The homeowners (Terri and Monty) are very nice and responded to our ever need immediately. The home is gorgeous and updated with beautiful appliances, fixtures, and is also stocked very well with anything you could possibly need. The 2 queen beds were very comfortable as well. Outside there was a spacious patio area with a very nice grill. There was plenty of seating with a comfortable table to sit around. I would recommend this rental for a girls weekend for sure! The town has so much to offer for shopping, eating, entertainment, boating, and the ever popular trolley rides! Thank you Terri and Monty for giving us girls an experience that we will cherish always! In appreciation, Kimmy, Sue, Gwenny and Valerie :)

Great couples get away spot

This place was great for our couples get away. We had two couples in low 40’s in the upper apartment and loved the place. You are a 2 min walk from everything in DT Stillwater. Monty was very helpful and we will definitely be back.

This property was absolutely beautiful! We felt like we were staying in a model home! Not only was the home gorgeous, but the location couldn’t have been better! You are downtown Stillwater and within walking distance of everything! The home owners were very easy to get a hold of and very personable! Can’t wait for our next stay!!

More Than a 5 Star

The whole experience was perfect. The hosts replied to my request to rent in less than 10 minutes. One of them met us at the home to insure we knew where everything was and to instruct us on the lock. The remodeled unit was astonishing. Their attention to detail in the remodel was wonderful. The unit has so much character. We especially enjoyed the living room area to gather in. We ate 2 meals at the property and for 3 of us there was plenty of room to sit at the kitchen island. We also played cards at the island. We asked about tv stations and the host said they only have basic cable but there are a ton of tv stations. We were happy to watch the Gopher football game on FS1. The property has a great view of the river and a wonderful sunrise. It also has a lot of sun in the afternoon to enjoy the outdoors. I took a walk up the outside staircase to a wonderful park at the top of the bluff. It was a workout but fun to try. You are so close to many shops downtown that you can walk most places. The Co-op grocery store is very close if you want to cook in the unit on the huge gas stove. This was our first VRBO. It would be nice if they were all this wonderful. We are planning our trip, back to Stillwater, for next year.

Perfect Stillwater Location

We had a fabulous weekend with both of the duplex sides rented for a girls weekend. The house was very clean and we loved the deck with views of the river. Being located right off the main street was perfect for our activities in town, no driving necessary. Would definitely recommend!

Main Street Hideaway in Stillwater

Monty and Terri were wonderful to work with, even with a Vrbo novice like me. They were easy to get ahold of and always responded quickly. The place was beautiful, immaculately clean, wonderfully remodeled, and the location was perfect. Totally within walking distance to everything yet quiet and private in the evenings, with a great view of the marina and St. Croix river. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

PERFECT FOR OUR FAMILY!

Perfect home for our family getaway-Lots of space for all of us to be together both inside the home and out, updated, clean and well maintained. Fireworks were spectacular and very close to the bike trail!! Within walking distance of everything we needed and the owners made it easy to check in and out. Great house in perfect location

We thoroughly enjoyed the entire stay! The house is a blend of original (beautiful woodwork) and modern features (kitchen & bath). The location was great- just off the commercial and retail part of Main Street, so it was very quiet and peaceful but still close enough to walk everywhere.

Girl’s Weekend #5

We stayed for our 5th annual girl’s weekend. This is our third VRBO experience and it was great! Everything was a listed. Monty met us for check in and walked us through everything in a few minutes. We were then ready to settle in to this beautifully remodeled home. It is a quick walk to the center of downtown. We enjoyed a sun filled morning on the porch/patio. I think our only draw back was one frying pan for breakfast, but we made it work! Will definitely recommend to others!

We have lived in the Stillwater for over forty years and raised our kids and grandkids here. We have owned this property for nearly 20 years, and in 2016 we decided to do a complete restoration/renovation. We are pleased with the finished product. With the use of custom millwork and hardware it is hard to distinguish between the addition and the original areas.
We have tried to make it a restful and tasteful retreat for our guests.

The Main Street Hideaway is a unique piece of property that it was originally part of the Stillwater Territorial State Prison. It is located next to the Warden's House which is now the Washington County Historical Museum. Just to the North of the Warden's House is the site of the original territorial prison which was destroyed by fire in 2002. Original walls of the prison property are still standing and surround the Terra Springs condo development. It is our understanding that our MainStreet Hideaway was used as housing for some of the officers or guards at the prison.

Location location location! Guests are able to walk to so many activities, yet because we are perched on a hilltop, we are hidden away and quiet. Main Street Hideaway is unique, being located in downtown and within walking distance to the Paddle Boats, JX Event Center, Grand Banquet Hall, Lowell Inn, The Loft, Brians, and Water Street Inn. Lowell Park and Pioneer Park are less than 2 blocks away. There are more than 20 restaurants located in downtown ranging from fine dining, casual upscale, and burgers and fries. Spring, Summer and Fall allows for the opening of more than a dozen outside seating areas and rooftop decks. If you are looking for live music, there are typically 5-6 different venues every weekend.
Main Street Hideaway also has it's own off street parking . With a large yard, porches with a river view , and a lovely patio area, you may decide to stay put and order in!
