Bright and cosy three-rooms apartment in a strategic area of the city, well connected to main tourist attractions. The kitchen is complete with dishes and appliances: fridge and oven. The sleeping area consists of 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds and 1 double bed. The apartment is for non-smokers only and is provided with stereo, crib, wifi, television, washing machine, and air conditioning. It's also equipped with hair dryer, iron and ironing board, towels and bed linen for the whole duration of your stay. Charming, great loation

Lovely apartment with old world classic feel. Super location, and even thoough not on the shore, there was an ocean breeze. Host quickly attentive to all questions and needs.

Spacious Ortigia Apartment

We were very surprised at the size of the apartment. A lot of room and very clean and comfortable. Location was perfect. Close to restaurants, shops, and the sea. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it.

Great location right near everything

Easy to access 2nd floor property just off the main streets in Ortygia. Good communication. AC worked great which was key during a heat wave.

Great location, huge apartment, rather dated

This apartment is HUGE, very economical, and in a fantastic location. There are a lot of pretty preserved period details throughout the apartment (ie beautiful old tiles and terrazzo sinks and pretty ceiling paint). Some of the decor feels rather tired and dated, and we lost power for 6 hours overnight, which made for a rather hot sleep without AC (also initially had some confusion re: the hot water, but got that sorted). It feels like you’re staying at someone’s nonna’s house, which is both cute and perhaps not for everyone.

Beautiful apartment. Super location.

Highly recommended. Beautiful apartment oozing with character. Immaculately clean. Great location for restaurants, sightseeing and shops. Very close to small beach. Stephanie, the manager, is delightful. She was amazingly helpful and welcoming and very professional. She gave excellent advice on local restaurants and sights. We had a super week and hope to return to Ortigia soon!

Spacious but a bit tired.

A spacious apartment, but a bit tired. Not very modern. It felt a bit dark. The location was good , but a good fifteen minute walk from the parking. Arrival was fine, the managing agent communicated clearly. The worst aspect was the fishy stink from the rubbish bins situated on the communal landing just above the apartment. It did not enter the apartment, but it was not pleasant on arrival outside each time. All in all it was fine but not wonderful.

Lovely stay

We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment - very well-located on the far end of the island of Ortigia. Close to 2 different beaches, lots of wonderful food, nice cafes for coffee and aperitivo on the water just a few blocks away. The apartment is very charming and clean. It feels like a real Sicilian home. To note, we only had use of one toilet - the other didn't seem to flush, and the shower handle needs to be fixed, but worked. Could be I missed something but I did not receive any advance information about check-in or info on the island which would have been helpful prior to traveling / arriving. Driving and parking on the island is not for the faint of heart. For shopping, we found a convenience store on Via Della Maestranza just off Piazza Archimedes that was more reasonable for fruit, wine than the grocery co-op.

Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm. Die Wohnung ist zentral gelegen aber dennoch sehr ruhig. Sie ist hübsch mit Antiquitäten eingerichtet und es fehlte an nichts

Ortigia peaceful apartment

The apartment is comfortable, charming and convenient to sights and restaurants. It's very quiet and beds are excellent. I was with one friend. The owner/manager was responsive, and busy so we were hesitant to reach out for suggestions. He did help us with our bags when we arrived and left, and arranged a taxi for us. We would stay there again.

Perfect week at Casa Salomone in Ortigia

My husband and I stayed one week in this beautiful apartment in Ortigia. The two bedroom apartment is spacious (my niece joined us for 2 nights) ---also very clean--and even prettier than the photos. We had everything we needed for the week--comfortable beds, great shower, nicely equipped kitchen, a lovely terrace (perfect for wine in the evenings a) and WIFI that worked! The location is perfect--we walked to shops, restaurants, the cathedral and other sights. It is only a block from a pretty little beach. It is also a short drive to a fabulous beach club in Arenella. We also went to Taormina (less than a 2 hour drive) and spent a night in this lovely resort town. Stephanie is wonderful. She was always easy to contact and made our arrival and check-in easy--directions from the airport, advice on parking, arrangements for a driver, recommendations for restaurants, etc. Our stay in Ortigia was easy and enjoyable--largely due to her efforts. We hope to visit Sicily again. If we are so fortunate, we would absolutley stay at Casa Salomone again!

Perfect on every level.

Our stay in Ortigia was made even nicer by the the lovely apartment we stayed in. The beds are big and very comfortable. The decoration is delightful. Painted ceilings. Tiled floors. A well equipped kitchen and a large sunny terrace. Our host Stephanie was extremely helpful. We will recommend this apartment to all of our friends. Many thanks

Charming apartment in a great location!

We spent five wonderful days in this lovely flat in Ortegia. Stephanie was a fabulous host! She gave us directions to parking, met us at the apartment and gave us some great recommendations regarding restaurants and cafes, bakeries, the outdoor market and (most importantly) the best spot for gelato. She even offered to give us a personal tour of Noto, but there was so much to do and see in Siracusa that we ran out of time for side trips. We are already talking about another visit and will definitely stay in this flat again..

Lovely location, charming flat, fairly well equipped kitchen, nearby small grocery,

Stehanie was extremely helpful, significantly enhancing the quality of the experience and making life on the island more interesting and accessible. Take all of her reccommendations if you can, particularly for Sicilian food. The furniture in living area of the flat could be more comfortable, and there were broken chairs that could be repaired in the bedroom and living room. Door to the terrace is very difficult to get opened and created a scary experience when we were accidently locked out of the flat. We persisted and got the door opened again—it is very tricky. Leave it opened while you are on the terrace! Ask Stephanie’s excellent driver Armando, to take you to Noto! Don’t miss the Paperi (paper) museum—a hidden gem, or sunset by the sea every evening.

Wonderful!

We enjoyed our five days in this spacious and beautiful apartment that is filled with character. It was spotlessly clean and even better than pictured. It is in a quiet yet convenient location. The highlight, though, is Stephanie. She is so helpful; arranging drivers from CTA and to the train station and making great restaurant recommendations. If you have a chance, attend her wine tasting!

Lovely and very comfortable

It is a lovely appartment located at a tranquil part of Ortigia. Stephanie received us in a very professional and kind manner. She gave us many tips on restaurants to visit and to avoid. We visited almost all of her recommended places. And she was right.

Beautiful well equipped apartment with lots of character in a great location.

Had a wonderful holiday in this lovely,spacious apartment. We especially liked the sunny courtyard and balcony overlooking the street. The apartment is situated close to the seafront with many restaurants and shops close by. Our host Stephanie was very friendly, helpful and responded promptly to any questions that we had . She also organised our transfers to and from the airport which worked perfectly.

Spacious flat in lovely area

We very much enjoyed our stay in this two-bedroom Ortigia apartment. It was light and airy, with attractive furniture - some of it elegant antiques - and with a balcony off one of the bedrooms. It was only a step or two away from the seafront and close to bars and restaurants, but located in a quiet street. Even though we only stayed for a week, we felt completely at home, like residents of Siracusa. We would be very happy to stay again. Thank you, Stephanie, for welcoming us.

A perfect place to stay.

This pretty apartment was our home for eight days and we loved every minute. It is a very short walk from a small beach and restaurants and bars, churches and museums are close by. The apartment is spacious and well equipped and the terrace a beautiful place to relax with a glass of wine. Stephanie was extremely helpful in identifying the best eating places and her recommendations were always spot on. We would also recomend Gabriello’s all day trip to Regusa, Modica and Noto. It gave us a wonderful overview of the culture, history, food, wine and the beautiful Sicilian countryside. A real highlight of our visit.
