Our beautiful, two bedroom / 2 bathroom fully refurbished, air conditioned apartments with spectacular sea views are two of the best located sea view apartments on the popular Upper Monte Dourado Resort in the centre of Carvoeiro. Beach, restaurants, shops and bars are only a couple of minutes walk away. Located within a cluster of six apartments (two high by three wide) with amazing sea, beach and village views from the lounge, balcony & master bedroom. Free wi-fi. Two swimming pools (one heated in off season) and children's pools with ample sunbeds and parasols are just a few steps away at the rear of the apartment. The Tennis Courts on site are only a couple of minutes walk away. Entrance hallway leads to all rooms. The accommodation is tastefully decorated and consists of:- Fully equipped kitchen, spacious lounge/dining room with log burner and air conditioning, 2 refurbished bathrooms with electric heater and heated towel rail, 2 spacious bedrooms with air conditioning, ample storage facilities and good sized well furnished south facing balcony with spectacular sea, beach and village views. Beautiful holiday!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at Casa Vera Sol Vista! Months in advance, Sally and Paul were just wonderful to communicate with, giving us all the information and tips to be sure we had a fabulous stay. They are so great! The apartment is a dream. The view from the balcony is spectacular and we loved our nightly sunsets. The apartment is exceptionally clean and modernly decorated so tastefully, including everything you need! If you are fortunate enough to stay here, you will have the best holiday ever!

Best trip ever! We were 4 adults on a holiday and had an amazing stay. Everything was beautiful especially the view off the balcony overlooking the beach and parts of the town. The large pool was an added bonus. Althoutown was a walk

Wow what an amazing apartment. Fantastic location located at the top of Carvoeiro that gives you a good view of the sea and over looking the towns night life. We spent many nights sitting on the balcony sipping wine and listening to the hustle a bustle below us, strangely relaxing. The apartment is also located next to 2 sets of pools. The cloest one was just outside of the door so ment the children could bomb down there without us worring. The next pool is the biggest in the complex and good for having a splash about. We had a little tour of all the pools and we thought the one closest to the apartment was the nicest and most relaxed!The apartment itself is nice and big. Perfect for a family of 4. It was comfortable and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked and ment that we were more than happy to do some self catering whilst we were there. Beds were comfortable and we had many good night sleeps. Air con was good and kept us cool in 30 plus heat! Monte Dourade was a great great complex to stay in. Well mantaimed and the staff at reception were nice and friendly.Things to consider. Its on top of a steep hill so could be tricky for those less mobile, however quick into town and great views. As you are close to the town center it can be noisy at the back of the apartment however, we closed the shutters and that sorted that out.These are a couple of minor points but overall we had a great stay and would like to say a big thank you to Sally and Andrew.

Great Family Holiday in Casa Vera Sol Vista

Having just returned from a stay in Sally’s apartment, I have to say this is one of the best apartments I have stayed in. Ample room for 4 adults, well equipped, beautiful terrace with an amazing view. Short walk into the town with plenty of great restaurants. Small supermarket about 5 mins walk away which stocked everything we needed.

Just what we had hoped for.

Beautiful unit that was perfect for our stay in the Algarve. The view from the balcony was spectacular. The unit was nicely and thoughtfully furnished to meet all of our needs. While it was just the 2 of us, the layout would give privacy for more guests. Sally was helpful before our arrival and hás compiled a book that contains lots of tips for a great stay. On the coldest January days, it was a bit chilly in the living room, though we did not use the fireplace.

Great location

Quick access to the street below via the side gate. AC helped us quick a bit on the hotter days! Spacious apartment since it was just me and my wife, great view of the center of Carvoeiro.

Our stay at the property was excellent. Everything we needed was on hand, it was clean plus just a short walk to the beachfront. The views from the balcony were amazing. We hope to return soon.

Casa Vera Gem

Wonderful apartment with everything we needed for our week’s stay. Fantastic host, Sally, took the time to call us and check we had arrived safely and had everything we needed. Carvoeiro provided plenty of choices of restaurants and bars. Recommend the boardwalk for stunning views and the nearby Boneca restaurant down among the rocks.

Spectacular Location

We were extremely happy with everything about this property. The location provided a beautiful view of the village and the beach. The apartment had everything we needed and was perfect for our vacation. Wonderful apartment

The apartment was spotlessly clean and felt bigger than the pictures. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped and the apartment complex was clean and well maintained. Black out blinds were in each bedroom which was great for kids! The view from the balcony was gorgeous, probably one of the best on the complex I’d guess! Sally was a wonderful host, she provided plenty of information and answered all questions very quickly. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The town square and beach were lovely, very clean and felt safe. Plenty of restaurant options, lovely boutiques, small supermarkets in walking distance, we didn’t have a car and you could happily spend a week here without a car. Taxis were readily available. There is a reasonably steep hill to get up from town square to the apartment complex, there are wide steps making it easier to walk up and down but would be a bit harder with a pram for example. Overall a wonderful stay and would recommend for a peaceful week away!

Wonderful stay in the perfect location

Carvoeiro is absolutely beautiful and retains that Portuguese tradition. We loved our stay at this apartment which was beautiful, extremely comfortable and had the best view of the beach/sea/town. The apartment is so well equipped, the owners had thought of everything to make this the perfect home from home with high standards. Thank you.

This location was excellent. We were able to enjoy the beach & hiking. Excellent view balcony.

I would recommend this home. Both spacious bedrooms had a.c. The home was well equipped for indoor dining. Outdoor patio was great. Close to town center. Carvoiero was an easy location if your primarily English in language. Ferragudo is close by for a nice outing. Benagil is close by for visiting the Benagil cave.

Perfect for a break

Booking and paying straightforward. The owner provided extra information that assisted with our choice and support on queries during our visit. Lovely aspect looking across the village and it’s beach. Nearby locked gate provided quick and easy access to the village. There was a problem with a pump in the resort heated swimming pool but it was still warm enough to swim in mid March. Lovely spacious apartment with excellent ranges of crockery and glasses. Wood burning fire for cold evenings - barrow of wood costs Euro 10 just out of town. Extra blankets in wardrobe and electric heaters for early March cool evenings. Circular table seating 6 and excellent choice of TV channels. Our second visit in 2 years with an elderly parent who can’t wait to come back.

We used to own and run a family coach holiday company and initially bought the apartment personally as a rental/investment property but we love the apartment and Carvoeiro so much that we now visit several times a year! We can’t get enough of the place!! We feel our knowledge of the travel business and our attention to detail has helped us in the creation of a perfect home from home for all guests. Our parents and two grown up sons also love to visit – it really is a place suitable for all ages!

Varför värden valde detta boende

When we decided to purchase rental apartments we searched the Algarve with definite criteria. We wanted 2 bedrooms AND 2 bathrooms. We wanted a smaller village/town with a Portuguese feel and no high rise buildings yet with enough to cater for all ages. We wanted to be within walking distance of shops, restaurants & bars with no need for a hire car. We wanted a resort with communal swimming pools/reception/tennis courts and our icing on the cake was a sea view. We were so lucky to get EVERYTHING we wanted and more! We chose Carvoeiro as it retains its fishing village charm and stays ‘open’ all year round. We chose Monte Dourado resort as it is so well managed and has beautifully maintained and spacious gardens and pools. Although we are in the village our location is a quiet location.

Our south facing balconies get the sun all day long all year round. It is wonderful to sit on the balcony at any time of the day and soak up the ambience of Carvoeiro and watch and hear the waves coming onto the beach. During summer months music can be heard drifting up from the village square which is great for couples & families who want a ‘night in’ yet still want to feel a ‘part of it’ and enjoy a holiday atmosphere. Once the double glazed doors and windows are closed you have peace and quiet. Cooking-in is easy as we have full facilities & utensils – you don’t even have to wash up as we have a dishwasher! The beach is only a 5 minute walk or you have two communal pools just a few steps from your back door! The log burner creates a lovely cosy atmosphere in winter months.
