This house was exceptionally clean and well organized. The amenities were great: the kitchen was well appointed with plenty of good cookware, dishes and flatware. Wonderful spacious home. We had a family gathering for a 70th birthday. AllAges of our family (from baby to 70) had a wonderful time. We had lots of snow on Saturday which provided even more fun. We never left the house (except to go to the hot tub for some!). Such a cozy place to enjoy a very cold, snowy weekend!

We all loved staying at this beautiful home celebrating our mom’s 87th birthday. There was plenty of space for our family of 13. The home was well equipped and was very comfortable. We missed finding the amazing suite above the garage for the first few days and still had plenty of space. But don’t miss the space above the garage, it was roomy and comfy too!

We were there for a wedding. The home is amazingly comfortable, spacious, and we loved the location. The views of the lake are so beautiful. The house itself is perfect for a family gathering, very well set up, great kitchen for cooking, ping pong and bikes gave us plenty of activities in between wedding events. Highly recommend this place !!

The house was exactly as advertised absolutely beautiful home!! The kitchen had everything you would need to cook a full blown meal. The back patio is where we spent most of our time. We had 10 adults and had plenty of room. All the sleeping arrangements were nice. There were plenty of things to do. We had planned to rent a boat but it was very windy and the water was quite choppy so we had to skip that. We did go into Eatonton and to Greensboro both only 20 minutes away. There are plenty of places to eat and there is a Publix supermarket 5 minutes from the house. So all in all we had a fantastic time and we all would definitely recommend this beautiful house. Thanks to Lana and Steve they were very easy to communicate with!

14 of us went to this beautiful home for our 49th reunion from Furman University. Steve and Lana were a joy and blessing to work with. The house, location and amenities far exceeded our expectations. We had a blast which included, a round of golf, games galore, great cookouts and of course some College Football and Ryder Cup on TV. Our fellowship was wonderful, so much so we’re planning to go back in a couple of years. Bottom line

Very private home on huge lot. Rooms were very spacious with plenty of room for both gathering together and private time. Lots of good restaurants nearby as well as in Madison and Greensboro. Owners were fantastic to work with and went the extra mile to make sure our stay was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Annual Family Getaway

This was our family’s fourth year staying at the wonderful Kollross Cabin retreat. The home is like a warm embrace with spacious living areas in which to visit, play games and make memories. My 92 year old mother enjoyed the comfortable seating and stunning views and our almost four year old grandson caught his first fish !! Already booked and counting the days for next year !!

Perfect Golf Trip

We came to Lake Oconee for a few days of golf. We wanted more space than a hotel to give us time to relax and chat between rounds. This place was perfect. Gave us the feel of being at home, close to all of the golf courses, clean and spacious. Everything we needed.

Girl’s Getaway 2025

This property is absolutely amazing. Each room has a name and theme. Some of the accessories in the rooms were collectibles. The beds were very comfortable and the house was very well maintained. There is even an attached studio “apartment.” View was stunning in the morning from the main bedroom. There were plenty of dishes and cookware if needed. I can’t say enough about this property. I would most definitely reserve this house again.

Great stay in Oconee!

The house was amazing for our group of 14. My dad celebrated his 70th birthday and we had family come in from all over the country. We used the fire pit every night, took out the wooden canoe and went fishing off the dock. The kids rod bikes up and down the street. The bedrooms were large and beds very comfortable!

Little Piece of Heaven

This was our 3rd trip to Lana and Steve's idyllic vacation home and it just keeps getting better. Their home is spectacular, but Lana and Steve are the most helpful, hospitable and always-available hosts we have ever seen. When you pull into the driveway, you see a gorgeous home with real "wow" factor. When you walk in the front door, you start to relax right away. With 6 bedrooms, the home is large enough for big groups, room for everyone to gather, but also room for everyone to have their own space if they want. They put so much thought into the decor, which just adds to the experience. A wonderful surprise that our kids love is the "secret room" - a large finished room over the garages. It's a combination of theater room, music room and 7th bedroom. The views of the lake from the house are picture-perfect. You can pull a boat right up to their dock. There are canoes, bicycles, ping pong. There is a hot tub and a large fire pit overlooking the lake. It's everything you could want in a lakeside retreat.

Spring Golf

We had 4 people playing in a 4 day tournament at The Reynolds Plantation courses. We were all with our spouses, so 8 in total. There was plenty of room and close to everything you might need. It was a great location with great sized bedrooms. Only thing, may a little better stocked kitchen pan wise, and a few more dressers upstairs. overall one of the best we've stayed at!! Many Thanks to Steve & Lana who were always able to respond quickly to any question we had from the original renting process to the final day at the unit.Would love to stay again if in the area!!

Great girls weekend

Our group of 7 women thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. Everything was very clean, communication with the owners was fantastic, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house is in a quiet cove, and the views were amazing. We would definitely recommend staying here!

We moved to Georgia in 1986 from Wisconsin, which is where we learned the value of lake property. We promptly investigated the major lakes in GA and came to the conclusion that gorgeous, quiet Lake Oconee was the place we wanted to be. We bought our 1/2 acre in 1989. Being newlyweds, we couldn't afford to build anything on it right away, so we started small with building our dock and getting our boat. That way we could enjoy the lake. In 2001, with 2 young boys, we built the main level of the cottage and left the upper level unfinished. Steve put his handyman skills to work to finish out the upstairs over the years. In 2016-17 we finally built the garage, added a driveway, and improved the landscaping with the beautiful terraced patios you see now. We are so happy to share our piece of heaven!
