The apartment is situated in the heart of the West End and is minutes walk to the closest shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. Byres road is a few minutes walk and is a great hub for all things West-end. If you fancy some of Glasgow's best food and drink you are spoiled for choice as the famous Ashton Lane is only 5-10 minutes walk away. Have some top class food at Ubiquitous Chip or sample street-food style ramen at Ramen Dayo then wash it all down with a Guiness at Jinty McGinty's or a craft beer at the Innis and Gun bar. There is even a cinema located within the lane so there is definitely something for everyone.

Be sure to visit the closeby Kelvingrove Park and Botanical Gardens if you are blessed with good weather. Both park areas boast plenty of space for picnics, lovely walking paths and a green escape from the city's hustle and bustle. With views of the River Kelvin and Glasgow University's stunning ancient campus it is also a great spot for those looking to add a few scenic snaps to their collection too.

Getting Around:
The apartment is very close to two subway stations, Kelvinbridge and Hillhead, approx a 5-minute walk to Hillhead and 10 mins to Kelvinbrige. Numerous buses run on both Byres Road and Great Western Road. Uber is also a very handy way to get around the city with a cab cost less than ÂŁ10 to the city centre. Glasgow International Airport is about 20 minutes by taxi and cost approximately ÂŁ25.

Great West End stay

This residence was perfect for our stay in the West End. Close to the University of Glasgow and an easy trip to City Center. We had great communication with the owner and enjoyed our time in the flat!

Great location near the University of Glasgow and all the West End restaurants and shops. On street parking was not bad at all. We didn't use the kitchen much as there was so many great options to eat out, but it seemed like it had what you would need. No extras. No frills. I would bring my own pillows next time as theirs were pretty awful, and the light blankets had me cold during the nights.

Nice, spacious flat in a great location.

Big flat in a great location, right next to the Botanical Gardens and Glasgow University. Tons of restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries within a 5 min walk. Subway was a 5 min walk. What I appreciated most was being away from tourist-centric shops. This area of Glasgow mostly consisted of locals and students, so the vibe was more authentic. Apartment was big with a large common seating area with plenty of room for the 4 of us, beds comfortable. I'll be honest, stating the deposit process was a little different and off-putting, needing DL picture and selfie and I had difficulty getting to the check-in information page due to VRBO not allowing URL links posted in their chat and blocking gmail addresses. Gillian, the host, was helpful and responsive throughout the process, however.

great location but many items broken or missing

large, bright flat in the leafy West End of Glasgow... but the flat has not been maintained as high standard, it has obviously been rented for short stay over and over and no-one has checked (or even followed up) when an item was missing or broken. I contacted the manager of the property to raise that there were no wine glass, no enough dishes for a meal for 4p, they asked me to check again if there were not in the dishwasher... I thought it was useless to mention that the fan in the bathroom did not work, the wardrobe in one of the room was about to fall down... it is a shame because the place with its high-ceiling got something very special, but it is not looked after as it needs to be for short rentals.

Great West End Location

This flat was a perfect launching point for the West Highland Way--we were able to run our errands easily from the flat (walking and Subway) and there was plenty of room to pack up/organize for the walk. The flat was comfortable and the host was VERY responsive.

Stay in Glasgow

A delightful property in an absolutely perfect location, near all that you need and then some, and essentially kitty-corner to the University, an added bonus for family visiting students. The flat is on the ground floor and is relatively accessible, excluding the stair to the building. It is very well-lit and spacious, designed to a cozy and aesthetically pleasing standard, with plenty of space for a group of visitors. The kitchen sink is a bit hard to use; it is easy to splash water everywhere and requires frequent drying. In terms of cleanliness, it was a very tidy location to stay; I will say that the communication with the VRBO hosts could have been better and more detailed, and the link to check-in was a bit problematic. But at the same time, they were also extremely accommodating on what was very much short notice, and my family quite appreciated that. Overall, it was a fun stay in a really lovely flat and if we were to stay again, we would definitely look at this property.
