Le Refuge är en traditionell stuga i alpin stil som nyligen är inredd och möblerad och kombinerar de underbara träfunktionerna med en elegant, modern design, vilket resulterar i en härlig och mycket bekväm stuga.

Bottenvåningen består av ett öppet vardagsrum och matsal, åtskilda med en modern vedeldad eldstad. Matbordet har plats för 12 och det finns ett fullt utrustat kök samt en liten studie. Det rymliga lekrummet kan också användas som ett sovrum med dubbelsäng och det finns ett separat duschrum och wc.

Den första våningen har ett sovrum med dubbelsäng med eget dusch och ett andra sovrum med dubbelsäng (kan också byggas upp som två enkelsängar), båda rummen vetter mot den söderläge balkongen med underbar utsikt över L'Aiguille du Midi och Mont Blanc. Det finns ytterligare ett sovrum, familjebadrum (badkar och dusch) och separat wc.

En trätrappa / stege leder till andra våningen och ett rymligt, öppet loft med 6 madrasser under takfoten. Våra barn älskar detta! Stugan sover bekvämt 7 vuxna och 4-6 barn.

Köket, matsalen, vardagsrummet och lekrummet njuter alla av dörrar som öppnar sig mot den söderläge trädgården som omger stugan och det finns trädekor på de södra och österläge delarna av trädgården. Trädgården gränsar till "ski du fond" och har gott om utrymme för pulka och leka i snön. Detta är verkligen en underbart lugn och vacker plats.

Det finns enkel åtkomst till Grand Montets telepherique antingen via en kort promenad. Alternativt är stugan cirka 100 meter från busshållplatsen och den vanliga skidbussförbindelsen upp och ner i dalen till de olika skidområdena (Grand Montets, Le Tour, Flegere, Brevent, Les Houches). Det är också lätt att köra genom Mont Blanc-tunneln för att tillbringa en dag med skidåkning i Courmayeur. Det finns parkering för 2-3 bilar i trädgården.

Den vackra byn Argentiere ligger 10 minuters promenad eller kort bilresa och erbjuder ett urval av restauranger, barer, affärer (inklusive en stormarknad och två bagare).

Amazing stay

Chalet comfortable et bien décoré, avec une jolie vue sur le Mont Blanc

Nous avons passé de super vacances en famille dans ce chalet. Il est joliment décoré, les draps et lits sont bons, et on s’y sent comme chez soi. Les enfants ont adoré dormir sous les toits. Le bain nordique est agréable après une journée d’effort, et offre une vue imprenable sur le Mont Blanc. Les hôtes sont adorables et très disponibles. C’est la 2eme fois que nous y allions et avons adoré notre séjour à nouveau! Merci!

Another Amazing Stay

I can't recall how many times we have stayed at the chalet now, but once again our stay was absolutely amazing. The chalet is beautiful and spotlessly clean. Everything is on hand to cook for the whole group and now there's the extra bonus of a lovely bakery at the end of the drive!! Already booking to go back to our home in France (we wish!!)

Séjour incroyable!

Un immense merci à Maggie and Cathy de nous avoir loué leur superbe chalet! Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour en famille. La décoration est soignée, et on s'y sent comme chez soi. Nous avons particulièrement aimé le confort des lits, et les enfants étaient ravis de dormir dans le dortoir sous les toits. Le chalet est bien situé, avec sa navette qui passe très régulièrement, ce qui donne accès aux pistes des grands montets très rapidement, et la boulangerie est à 2 min à pieds. On a beaucoup apprécié la vue sur le mont blanc, la paix qui règne autours du chalet, les poules et les chevaux à proximité, et les petits oiseaux qui chantent le matin. Un vrai dépaysement. Magguie and Cathy ont toujours été très disponibles Nous recommandons fortement ce chalet! Dorothée

Lovely stay

Had a great time at Le Refuge. Did not ski Grands Montets as often as expected, but still loved this quiet spot. Yes, you can ski home from Grands Montets. The hot tub is great, as is the bakery next door, Mont Choux. Comfy beds, everything you need. Will be back.

Super week-end prolongé

Nous avons passé 4 jours très agréables dans ce joli chalet bien situé, au calme, avec tout le confort comme présenté dans le descriptif des équipements. Tout s'est organisé facilement à distance. Nous recommandons ce lieu chaleureux qui doit l'être encore plus sous la neige, autour de la cheminée centrale ! Si nous pouvons y revenir pour un séjour au ski ce serait le top !

Great chalet for families

I would highly recommend this chalet if you are looking for somewhere for 2 or 3 families. We stayed there with 3 families of mainly teenage children and the facilities in the chalet were more than ample. The Norwegian Bain was so good even in the cold weather. There was great communication from the host throughout our stay, nothing was too much for them. The chalet is in an excellent location for the Grand Montets and Le Tour ski areas. One little tip we have to pass on is if you have older children you must visit FUBAR in Argentiere. It’s a bar but they allow younger people in and have table tennis, pool, darts and a rodeo bull to keep them amused. If we ever go back to Chamonix as a large group we would definitely try to book this chalet again. Thank you for having us :)

Nous n'avons rien à dire si ce n'est que c'était parfait. Le bain nordique est vraiment un plus après une journée de ski. Les enfants comme les adultes ont tout de suite trouvé leur place. Le chalet est cosy et chaleureux, bien agencé et très pratique. Les enfants ont vraiment apprécié le dortoir. On reviendra, c'est sûr.😜 Maggie et Wendy sont très disponibles et bien sympas. Belle continuation à vous 2.

Perfect....again!

Another brilliant trip to the La Refuge. As usual everything was available for a perfect stay. I'm running out of positive things to say! Ideal spot to walk to Chosalet for the nursery slopes (and a beer), drive up to GM for steep and north faced slopes, a few steps from the bus stop to the other mountains and I've now found out you can run the track next to the ski du fond to Le Lavancher to the right (up a big hill!!) and up the side of the Pierre a ric home run to the left. Already planning our next trip.

Superbe séjour dans ce chalet charmant très bien aménagé avec vue sur le mont Blanc situé au pied des pistes de ski de fond. Le bain nordique est parfait et idéalement situé pour apprécier la vue et se détendre après une journée sportive. Les commerces se situent à 5 minutes en voiture. Très bon contact avec les propriétaires. Nous avons passé un Noël en famille magnifique dans cet endroit ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans ce chalet, à la fois idéalement situé, au calme et à proximité de Chamonix, confortable, spacieux et très joliment décoré... Le cadre est idyllique et l'espace extérieur est spacieux et bien agencé, avec une vue unique sur le Mont-Blanc depuis le bain nordique. Inoubliable!!

Excellent property, great stay

A great chalet for a group of friends. Maggie was an excellent host, answering all of our many questions promptly and fully. She was very helpful and the chalet had everything needed for a ski holiday for our large group including sledges which the children loved making use of after a day on the slopes. Thankyou Maggie!

Parfait !

Le chalet est très agréable, bien décoré, avec une belle cheminée au centre du salon. L'espace est chaleureux et accueillant. Nous étions très nombreux et pourtant nous étions tous confortables. Le jardin à l'arrière de la maison donne sur la montagne et on apprécie la vue depuis chaque fenêtre du chalet. Le bain nordique est un vrai régal en rentrant du ski... Tout était très propre et les lits sont extrêmement confortables, même pour ceux dans les combles. Je précise que l'emplacement est très pratique puisqu'il y a une station de bus à 2 min de la maison. Enfin, un énorme merci à Maggie qui a été très disponible et arrangeante en plus d'être sympathique. A louer les yeux fermés !

As a group of friends, we have skied in the Chamonix valley for the last 20 years, firstly as young adults and now with our children. In 2012, we fulfilled a long held dream to buy a chalet in our favourite valley, large enough to accommodate us all and allow us to continue to enjoy skiing together as well as enjoying the multitude of fun, summer activities the valley offers.

We fell in love with Le Refuge as, despite having such easy access to the Grand Montets and lovely village of Argentiere, it is tucked away in the most wonderfully quiet, unspoilt corner of the old Grassonets village. The views are breathtaking.
