Summary:
Two fully self contained, air conditioned, apartments connected by a large terrace. With three bedrooms and two kitchens it is suitable larger groups or multigenerational families desiring some form of separation. An elevator connects the garage to the larger apartment. As it is only minutes walk to the wonderful Limoux Place de la République, you are close to the facilities - bakeries, restaurants, bars, take-away food, wine shop, pharmacy.
The Space:
The two bedrooms in the larger apartment (CLASSIC FRANCE) overlook the garden, river and church. From this apartment there is direct access to the garden via the balcony steps or via the elevator. This apartment has a large living area and kitchen with washing machine. Facilities are located opposite the bedrooms. The smaller apartment (LOVELY LIMOUX) faces the street and has roof and church tower views. The apartment offers a 25m2 living/dining/kitchen area including full size fridge. Adjacent to this area is the toilet and shower. Upstairs is the mezzanine area with a 140 cm wide bed and room for suitcases. The apartment has air conditioning and a ceiling fan. The kitchens may be used for cooking local foods or warming up food purchased on the square. Between the two apartments is a large roofed patio with an espresso machine and pods.
Guest Access:
Access is via the main door at 53 Blanquerie using a coded lock. Up the steps and you arrive in the patio, just metres from the front door, alternatively use the elevator to Classic France from the garage. The presence of steps at the street entrance and inside, to the mezzanine bedroom of LOVELY LIMOUX, means some areas may not be suitable for young children or adults who have problems with steps.
The Neighborhood:
Within minutes you can take a walk along the Aude river or cross over the bridge and into the Place de Republic with restaurants, bars and many services including bankomats.
Getting Around:
Although a car is useful for seeing the countryside there is a free train to Carcassone and busses into the mountains. In Limoux you car hire a car or bicycles (including electric powered) at competitive prices. Taxi to Carcassone is 50€
