VÀlkommen till vÄrt Blueberry Beach House vid den vackra Sedar Bay. KÀnn dig varva ner nÀr du kommer nerför kullen och andas in den lugna utsikten över Lake Superior. PÄ en klar dag se Isle Royal i horisonten. Detta Àr ett helt renoverat strandhus som sitter pÄ sin egen privata sand- och stenstrand, ett paradis för agatplockare. Avsluta dagen med de mest underbara, oförglömliga solnedgÄngarna. Ligger 6 miles frÄn Calumet och snöskoterlederna. Om det finns tillrÀckligt med snö pÄ sidan av vÀgen, kan du Äka till stigarna. Om det inte finns snö pÄ axlarna pÄ vÀgarna mÄste du slÀpa slÀden till spÄrhuvudet, cirka sex mil frÄn huset. 20 miles frÄn Michigan Tech och tvÀrs över vÀgen frÄn Black Creek Sanctuary, utmÀrkta snöskor. Cirka 55 minuter till Copper Harbor, spetsen pÄ Keweenaw-halvön. Skidorten Mount Bohemia Àr en naturskön 45 minuters bilresa. Besök centrala Calumet, som ligger i den historiska Keweenaw nationalpark. Detta hus sover 8. Sovrum 1 har en king size-sÀng som kan omvandlas till 2 extra lÄnga tvillingar. Sovrum 2 har 2 extra lÄnga tvÄ anpassade vÄningssÀngar. Vardagsrumssoffan Àr en drottning i sovrummet. Vedeldad bastu sitter precis vid stranden, perfekt för bastubad. Super cute cabin - very clean and comfy. Perfect size for my family of 4. Loved having Lake Superior outside the front door. And the sauna was awesome too! Perfect home base for exploring the Keweenaw.

Lovely home on Lake Superior -- off the beaten path so it was wonderfully quiet and dark. I didn't have any issues, but the host was very responsive to my questions. The pumpkin bars the host left for me when I arrived were a nice touch.

Wonderful Visit

We had an amazing time at this property! It was clean and cozy and had the most amazing views of frozen Lake Superior. My son and his friend were able to go to Mt. Bohemia, and I was able to connect with friends in Houghton- the location was super convenient and we cannot wait to come back!

Perfect little getaway

Gorgeous place that was the perfect size for our family of four. The bunkbeds were the hugest bunkbeds I've ever seen with little wall lights and outlets by each pillow which the kids LOVED! And all the mattresses (bunks and the king bed) were quite comfortable. The owners were amazing to work with, and we will definitely be staying here for any return trips to the Keweenaw!

Perfect getaway

My husband and I had a great stay at the Blueberry beach house. It was so nice to be able to watch the sunset, hunt for Yooperlites, and stargaze right from the property. We enjoyed watching the waves and loons from the windows of the beach house. It was a nice base camp for site seeing the area. The beach house meet all our needs. It was a perfect getaway.

Wonderful spot on the Lake Superior shoreline

Our stay at Kristin’s home was one of the highlights of our UP honeymoon. There is easy access to the beach with a fire pit, beach chairs and small table, which made for a perfect evening on the beach. The home is well-equipped for cooking and is very comfortable. Kristin is an excellent host and makes the best blueberry muffins. We highly recommend for a couple or family with young children!

A little slice of Zen

The Blueberry Beach House is a lovely, renovated, clean, cozy place of peace and comfort. Sitting on the bench viewing Lake Superior brought zen moments morning, noon, and sunset evenings. In our seven day stay we witnessed the many fascinating moods of Lady Superior and rock hunting becomes addictive almost immediately! If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful get away with only minutes away from small city living, this is the place for you.

Perfection

Blueberry Beach House is a great place for our family. My kids say they were the comfiest bunk beds they have ever slept in. The place was very clean, well stocked, and with access to the beach with both rocks and sand. Kristin was a great help for anything we needed. A few little blueberries came ripe on our last day. So great.

We had such a lovely stay at the Blueberry Beach House!! It’s a little slice of heaven on the lake. The house was stocked with everything we needed and is very cozy. We spent every night watching the sunset on the beach and even got to see the Northern Lights. The location of the property is perfect for all of your Keweenaw adventures; although once you get to the house you might not want to leave. The owner of the property stopped by to introduce herself and brought us the most delicious pumpkin cream cheese cupcakes. We felt completely spoiled during our stay and cannot wait to go back!

My husband and I spent the most peaceful week at the blueberry Beach House. We couldn’t have asked for a better location, a more private beach or better accommodations. The owners are so sweet and even delivered fresh blueberry muffins. There are blueberry patches for you to pick fresh blueberries throughout your stay. The area has many family owned restaurants to choose from and cute little shops to find the perfect souvenirs. We are definitely planning on returning year after year.

We had a wonderful stay at the Blueberry Beach House. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Gorgeous sunsets over the lake and loved sitting on the bench watching the lake. The cottage is very comfortable and Kristin has thought of many special touches to make it so. It was cool during our stay and the fireplace was a welcome addition when we returned after exploring the area. Loved the direct and easy access to all the rock hunting one could ask for. Thank you for sharing this little piece of paradise with us - it made for our best visit to the Keweenaw!

Great Place to reset!

My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Blueberry Beach cabin and it's exactly what we needed to reset! Direct access to the beach, everything we needed in the kitchen, our hosts were right across the street!! Kristin and EJ took extra care to get us firewood for the beach fire pit and recommended we use the sauna and then jump in Superior...we did it! It was an experience! The water is crystal clear and the beach is a rock hounders paradise! We would definitely come back!!!

Graduation

We were there for granddaughters graduation from MI Tech. We had trouble finding a closer place for 6 people, so we took the cabin on Lake Superior! We absolute loved it. Clean, very cute and right on the beach. Beautiful sunsets. We would certainly stay here again!

Worth the Wait

I had been wanting to stay at this property for several years but I could never match availability of the cottage to my availability. Until now and it was definitely worth the wait. Cottage is cozy and welcoming. All essentials in place. Quiet area. Most fantastic beach combing out front. Sat on the bench every night to watch the sun set! If you are looking for peace and quiet along with great rock hunting and beautiful sunsets, look no further. I highly recommend!

Sunset!

Our family stayed here to race in The Great Bear Chase. It was the perfect location for us. The snow was all cleared even though they had 1-2 feet dropped on them the day prior to our arrival. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Be sure to be there for sunset, it was amazing!

Cozy winter family retreat

Beautiful location, can be challenging in the winter depending on snow fall - be prepared, of course. For those staying during the winter months, bring slippers, as the floors are cold. Keep bedroom doors open, with only the gas fireplace as a heat source. Lovely setting! We enjoyed our stay.

Ej an I have deep roots in the area. Grandparents migrated here from Finland in the early 1900's. Ej builds Timber Frame houses and I work in the school system. We enjoy spending time with our kids and grandchildren.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

Ej and I love living in the UP. It has always been a dream of mine to run a Bed&Breakfast when the kids are grown. Having a chance to purchase the cabin across the road and completely remodeling it, was actually getting the best of both worlds. We can share our love of the area with guests, and manage the property from across the road. Looking forward to meeting you.

Sedar Bay is is a peaceful, soul renewing piece of paradise. The Blueberry Beach House is your place to unwind. Wake up for a peaceful walk on the beach. Spend the day watching the lake and picking berries, or take on some of the local attractions. Be sure to be back to for the spectacular sunset. The sauna right on the beach is the best!
