Välkommen skidåkare / snöskoter! Blueberry Beach House i ett vinterunderland

Välkommen till vårt Blueberry Beach House vid den vackra Sedar Bay. Känn dig varva ner när du kommer nerför kullen och andas in den lugna utsikten över Lake Superior. På en klar dag se Isle Royal i horisonten. Detta är ett helt renoverat strandhus som sitter på sin egen privata sand- och stenstrand, ett paradis för agatplockare. Avsluta dagen med de mest underbara, oförglömliga solnedgångarna. Ligger 6 miles från Calumet och snöskoterlederna. Om det finns tillräckligt med snö på sidan av vägen, kan du åka till stigarna. Om det inte finns snö på axlarna på vägarna måste du släpa släden till spårhuvudet, cirka sex mil från huset. 20 miles från Michigan Tech och tvärs över vägen från Black Creek Sanctuary, utmärkta snöskor. Cirka 55 minuter till Copper Harbor, spetsen på Keweenaw-halvön. Skidorten Mount Bohemia är en naturskön 45 minuters bilresa. Besök centrala Calumet, som ligger i den historiska Keweenaw nationalpark. Detta hus sover 8. Sovrum 1 har en king size-säng som kan omvandlas till 2 extra långa tvillingar. Sovrum 2 har 2 extra långa två anpassade våningssängar. Vardagsrumssoffan är en drottning i sovrummet. Vedeldad bastu sitter precis vid stranden, perfekt för bastubad. Främre tvättmaskin och torktumlare för din bekvämlighet. Du behöver helt enkelt ta med dig dina kläder och mat.

Super cute cabin - very clean and comfy. Perfect size for my family of 4. Loved having Lake Superior outside the front door. And the sauna was awesome too! Perfect home base for exploring the Keweenaw.

My husband and I spent the most peaceful week at the blueberry Beach House. We couldn’t have asked for a better location, a more private beach or better accommodations. The owners are so sweet and even delivered fresh blueberry muffins. There are blueberry patches for you to pick fresh blueberries throughout your stay. The area has many family owned restaurants to choose from and cute little shops to find the perfect souvenirs. We are definitely planning on returning year after year.

We had a wonderful stay at the Blueberry Beach House. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Gorgeous sunsets over the lake and loved sitting on the bench watching the lake. The cottage is very comfortable and Kristin has thought of many special touches to make it so. It was cool during our stay and the fireplace was a welcome addition when we returned after exploring the area. Loved the direct and easy access to all the rock hunting one could ask for. Thank you for sharing this little piece of paradise with us - it made for our best visit to the Keweenaw!

beautiful place on Lake Superior. If you enjoy a comfortable stay, despite a blizzard and freezing temperatures, this is the place. Loved Calumet and dog races. Looking to go back.

Great Place to reset!

My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Blueberry Beach cabin and it's exactly what we needed to reset! Direct access to the beach, everything we needed in the kitchen, our hosts were right across the street!! Kristin and EJ took extra care to get us firewood for the beach fire pit and recommended we use the sauna and then jump in Superior...we did it! It was an experience! The water is crystal clear and the beach is a rock hounders paradise! We would definitely come back!!!

Sunset!

Our family stayed here to race in The Great Bear Chase. It was the perfect location for us. The snow was all cleared even though they had 1-2 feet dropped on them the day prior to our arrival. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Be sure to be there for sunset, it was amazing!

Fall Weekend Getaway

We came up to enjoy the beach and the fall colors. We had a great time collecting rocks on the beach. The cabin was cozy and perfect. We would love to come again.

Cozy winter family retreat

Beautiful location, can be challenging in the winter depending on snow fall - be prepared, of course. For those staying during the winter months, bring slippers, as the floors are cold. Keep bedroom doors open, with only the gas fireplace as a heat source. Lovely setting! We enjoyed our stay.

Each day provides incredible views and adventures.

Had all the support for making great meals with the kitchen equipment provided. Location allowed us access to unique experiences…rock hunting right out the door, when the lake was calm … we actually swam! Each surrounding town had great restaurants, things to do and plenty of friendly locals. Hope to come back again.

Wonderful Visit

We had an amazing time at this property! It was clean and cozy and had the most amazing views of frozen Lake Superior. My son and his friend were able to go to Mt. Bohemia, and I was able to connect with friends in Houghton- the location was super convenient and we cannot wait to come back!

Perfect little getaway

Gorgeous place that was the perfect size for our family of four. The bunkbeds were the hugest bunkbeds I've ever seen with little wall lights and outlets by each pillow which the kids LOVED! And all the mattresses (bunks and the king bed) were quite comfortable. The owners were amazing to work with, and we will definitely be staying here for any return trips to the Keweenaw!

Everything you need is here. We had a wonderful time. Our host was super nice and wanted to make sure all was well. We spent a lot of time on the beach rockhounding. Hope to come back next year.

Ej an I have deep roots in the area. Grandparents migrated here from Finland in the early 1900's. Ej builds Timber Frame houses and I work in the school system. We enjoy spending time with our kids and grandchildren.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Ej and I love living in the UP. It has always been a dream of mine to run a Bed&Breakfast when the kids are grown. Having a chance to purchase the cabin across the road and completely remodeling it, was actually getting the best of both worlds. We can share our love of the area with guests, and manage the property from across the road. Looking forward to meeting you.
