Beautiful Port Views

The Fisherman’s House was in a great location with spectacular views of the port of Sciacca. Easy access using steps to go either to the port or to the main piazza. The host Tiziana was kind, professional and very welcoming. I will definitely be returning to this apartment when we return to Sciacca.

Just Breathe

The Fisherman’s House is lovely and soothing; it promotes relaxation. The views from the terraces are refreshing. The location is close to restaurants and shops. You can also easily get a taxi if the need be. Savio is a wonderful host! He helped us with arranging transport and handling our baggage. We were sad to leave and would stay here again!

We used google translate to communicate at check in went ok. The house was clean and pretty nice. Location was good. Parking is a slight challenge on the streets but there is a parking lot down the hill that you can use. It was fairly hot while we visited. There is only air conditioning in the common space not the bedrooms. On the first floor we left our bedroom door open and with the ceiling fan it was ok. The second floor bedroom was a sauna. Unusable in warm weather, my sister in law slept on the first floor couch. Adding ac to the bedrooms would vastly improve the house.

We really enjoyed everything about our stay at this location! The house was decorated wonderfully will local art and seaside themed decor. Being just around the corner from the seafood market was a delightful bonus. We would purchase locally caught seafood caught daily and cook it in the well equipped kitchen. Having the washing machine on site was a very welcome benefit, as we were on the last leg of an almost three week trip. The host didn't speak much English, but we communicated just fine through Google translate, so there were no issues at all. They were so kind end generous. They even shared locally made olive oil with use for our delicious meals. There is a grocery store nearby where we were able to walk and get all of the other supplies needed to make delicious authentic Sicilian meals right there in the home. The A/C worked well, which is not always the case throughout Europe. The outside patio was the best part! You could see so many stars at night and watch the fishing boats come in and out of the port. The price was quite reasonable compared to many other locations we looked at. We hope yo return again to this little slice of paradise!
