Newly re-furbished pretty garden studio just 400m from the cliff top.

Recently completed, purpose built self-contained annex next to, but separate from our family home. Situated in our garden, Pebble Cottage is just 400m from the cliff-top at Barton on Sea. Access is via a gravel drive through a gate and into the garden. There is free parking on the road, tv, wifi, shower room, fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. Close to local restaurants and cafes this is an ideal base for exploring the coast and the New Forest.

The cottage has a 'beach-hut' feel about it and we have tried to ensure that you have everything you need for a cosy stay. There is wi-fi and Cat-6 cabling so you can work if you need to or just chill and watch Netflix! The toiletries provided are by Faith in Nature so good for you and good for the planet. The garden is shared with the owners and has a lovely sunny aspect, great for breakfast al-fresco or that morning cup of coffee, the decking area gets the lovely evening sunlight.

Our stay was lovely and the walking distance to ocean and restaurants was a plus. Property manager was very nice.

New Forest break

Very clean and comfortable. However as this facility is in the garden of the hosts there is limited privacy. New Forest was a short drive away as were the sandy beaches. Lovely view from cliff restaurant over to Isle of Wight

Klein aber fein

Wer eine kleine und feine Unterkunft für 2 Personen für max. 2 Wochen sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Aus unserer Sicht folgende Wehmutstropfen: Die Küche ist zu klein für aufwendiges Kochen und auch nicht dafür ausgestattet, ebenso ist das Volumen des kleinen Kühlschranks für die Nahrungsunterbringung beschränkt. Vor dem Fußende des Bettes steht eine Holztruhe als einzige Möglichkeit, seine Anziehsachen zu verstauen. Für einen Kleiderschrank ist kein Platz. Das Waschbecken im Bad ist sehr klein und eher für ein GästeWC geeignet. Dennoch haben wir den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Absoluter Pluspunkt: das kleine Häuschen liegt im Sommer ab ca. 15.00 Uhr im Schatten und ermöglicht eine tea time in bequemen Sesseln davor. Wer die Sonne sucht, darf auf der gemeinsamen Garteninsel mit Launchmöbeln Platz nehmen. Die dort wachsenden Äpfel dürfen ebenfalls verzehrt werden und schmecken im August einfach spitze. Sue kommuniziert bis zum Bezug des Cottage vorbildlich herzlich und informativ, auch wenn sie selbst nicht vor Ort sind. Sehr nette, freundliche und unaufdringliche Vermieter.

Beautiful clean property in a great locality

We had a superb two night stay. I’d recommend staying here for a comfortable clean base with close locality to the coast. Property was as described with everything we needed. Great communication with hosts.

Toller Unterkunft, nahe am Meer mit Garten

Super Unterkunft mit allem, was man für einen Urlaub benötigt. Die Nähe zum Meer und den hübschen Garten sind Pluspunkte, als auch die Nähe zu den verschiedenen Restaurants in der Umgebung. Sue und Pete sind tolle Gastgeber!

Fantastic getaway

We had a lovely two night getaway. Sue and Pete are welcoming and have made the accommodation fantastic. It is immaculate and there is attention to detail with little touches like beautiful toiletries, fresh milk, tea and coffee. We will definitely be booking again.

Had a 3 night stay at Pebble cottage. What a lovely find. So clean & tidy & well fitted for self catering also. Sue & Pete are on hand if required, & it was lovely to use their garden to have breakfast & to enjoy an evening drink in the sunshine. Will most definitely return.

Hi, I'm Sue and I live here with my Husband Pete and our 6 year old Bernese Mountain dog called Hudson. Both Pete and I work from home, I'm an accountant and HR consultant and Pete is a landscape photographer and our home is filled with Pete's photos of both local and international scenes.

We moved here over 13 years ago and love walking on the cliff top and in the New Forest. We recently refurbished our garden studio and hope that you can enjoy some of the things that we are lucky enough to have access to on a daily basis.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Pebble Cottage is ideal for people who want a getaway for a few days (or maybe longer). We are just 400m from the cliff top at Barton on Sea, where there are lovely walks both on the beach and along the cliff-top. The area is still unspoilt and much smaller than our coastal neighbours of Bournemouth and Poole. We are also just a short drive from the New Forest where there are lots of opportunities to see the New Forest ponies, go for relaxing walks or stop for lunch at a country pub or tea room.

The cottage is situated in our garden (which is shared with the owners) and there is a lovely patio area and also a decked area that gets the evening sun (perfect for a wind down G & T!).

Our house is in a quiet residential street with easy access to public transport, there is free on-street parking.

We have a lovely Bernese Mountain Dog called Hudson who loves to see all our visitors (equally if you are not happy with dogs we will make sure he doesn't bother you - he is not allowed in the back garden!)
