Tiny House på julgrangården

Lone Star är ett rustikt litet hus som sitter på stranden av en damm på Holiday Acres Christmas Tree Farm. Det är perfekt för en romantisk semester, ett skrivande reträtt eller för en unik plats att bo när du besöker eller arbetar i området Manvel. Lilla husentusiaster kommer att tycka om att prova lite boende på Lone Star!

Holiday Acres ligger bara 25 miles söder om centrala Houston. Medan du är här kan du ta promenader genom julgranarna, bygga en eld i eldstaden, kasta en linje i dammen för att fånga fisk, eller bara koppla av på verandan och njut av landskapet.

Köket är inrett med en brödrostugn, kokplatta, mikrovågsugn och kylskåp. Det finns krukor, kokkärl, tallrikar och allt du behöver för att laga mat till 2. Sängen glider ur sikte under köket, med foten av sängen fördubblas som din soffa. Inget behov av att klättra upp i ett loft.

Hundar är välkomna på Holiday Acres! De måste vara i ett koppel utomhus och crated om du behöver lämna dem inuti när du går ut. Tyvärr, inga katter eller andra husdjur.

Tillsammans med en DVR, finns antenn-TV med lokala stationer. Wi-Fi tillhandahålls men är begränsad till 1 GB per dag. Du kan surfa hela dagen och hela natten med 1 GB, men du kommer inte att kunna strömma video (Netflix, YouTube, FaceTime, etc.).

Granne med Lone Star är Bluebonnet, ett stugans stiligt litet hus som rymmer 4 personer. Båda husen kan hyras om du reser med en större grupp.

Värdarna bor på fastigheten cirka 100 meter från de små husen. De kommer att hälsa på dig och få dig att bosätta sig, då kommer du att njuta av din semester. De hjälper gärna om du har några behov under din vistelse.

An overall fair experience!

My only qualm would be that I had nightly 6-legged and 8-legged visitors before bed, I don’t know what hole needs to be plugged up by the futon window but I think that’s where they’re coming from! From ants to spiders to roaches it was tough trying to sleep peacefully without worrying about them crawling on me! An ant bit me the first night! The shower also has a sewage smell whenever it’s *not* being used, so maybe look into that as well! Overall this experience has been one for the books, I wouldn’t trade it for anything, and it helped me set out what I aimed to do! I can’t wait to have another trip like this again now that I know what to expect!

Tiny house @ Holiday Acres

Property owner didn’t realize that I had booked the property so we had to wait about 30min to check in. So we browsed the property and took a look at the other tiny house, The Bluebonnet House. Leigh Ann (owner) was kind, gracious, and on-site without being intrusive. Rocky (Leigh Ann’s husband/owner) and the staff were fixing a gate one day and were also pleasant. Nice Christmas Tree Farm for family fun and events. Thanks Leigh Ann & Rocky!

Great stay with the pups

Came from Houston to get out of the city for a bit.. It was perfect!! Fire pit was a pleasure, the house was cute and cozy. I'm glad I was able to stay here. The owners are great and Rocky was super helpful throughout our stay. Will def. visit again! ❤️

Short but sweet visit

Great little getaway

This was great little getaway from Houston! The tiny house was perfect. It had everything we needed. We loved walking the property and siting by the pond. So relaxing! It was the perfect three day getaway!

Paradise does exist!

My husband has been ill for 8 months. We have been in a hospital off and on for 5 of those 8 months. Usually I would sleep in his room. This hospital stay I desperately needed rest. I did not want to stay in a hotel. First, they are horribly expensive and usually not as clean as I would like. The Lone Star tiny house was amazing! Clean, comfortable, peaceful and safe. Leigh Ann and Rocky were wonderful! The pond and fountain was wonderful while sitting on front porch drinking my coffee. The little kitchen had everything I needed. The price was amazing. Can’t say enough about my stay! It was the best ever! (Very easy commute to and from medical center)

Christmas Visit

Our stay here was great! Leigh Ann was easy to contact and very accommodating. Quaint little house on the edge of a pond with a water fountain. Morning coffee on the porch and s’mores with the grandkids one evening at the fire pit. Awesome!!

Truely one of a kind!!!

A tiny house on a Christmas Tree Farm!!! Everything was perfect!!! We loved the sound of the water on the pond, the easy drive and the whole experience of a tiny house. We will definitely do it again!! And if we’re in this area, stay here once again. We were actually talking about coming back around Christmas time and volunteering to work on the farm just for bragging rights to say we worked on a Christmas a tree farm!! Thanks so much!!!! M&T

Hi, we're Rocky and Leigh Ann! We operate Holiday Acres, a choose & cut Christmas tree farm. Rocky's day job is as an engineer at NASA, and Leigh Ann is the farm's office manager. We love nothing more than sharing our piece of God's creation with others. When we're not running the farm or welcoming guests to our 2 tiny houses, we enjoy visits with our grandchildren and participating in the life of our church.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Though raised in the city, we always wanted to live in the country. In 1999, when we first visited this property, there was a peace about it that you could just feel when you walked in the gate. Originally a dairy farm, there is a grain silo built in 1905 and an old metal barn. We loved it. So, we built our house here and raised our children and our trees.

We decided to grow Christmas trees because it would be easy. Ha! Live and learn. Twice a year, Rocky has to shear about 8,000 trees. Planting, mowing, weed control, and all the rest keeps Rocky very busy most of the time. Then comes Christmas season, and things really start hopping around here! The Christmas tree farm is choose & cut, so we are able to welcome many families as they come to cut their own tree and make a sweet family memory.

When we started out growing Christmas trees, we never imagined doing anything more than that with our property, but over time we began making the farm available as a photo venue, then we added the 2 tiny houses as vacation rentals, and now we are adding to and upgrading our facilities to be able to operate as an event venue.
