Vaxholm fishing village is known as the "Pearl of the Archipelago" (to get a wonderful
photographic view of the village, go to google.no and write "photos of Vaxholm"). The villa is located approx. 1,5 km from Vaxholm, it is a 40 minute drive to the center of
Stockholm. Skarpö island, accessed by car, is known for its turn of century wooden country houses and beautiful forest walks. Its proximity to Vaxholm and Stockholm make it a perfect location. One restaurant is located on the island, plus numerous restaurants and shops in Vaxholm. Boat trips from Vaxholm to the center of Stockholm are available, along with boat trips to numerous islands in the archipelago, including Sandhamn. Buses to the city center are also available.
