Enjoy the bustling market town of Tewkesbury by day, exquisite waterside walks by noon and theatre shows by night. Take a leisurely meander of the market town, weave in and out of the Tudor buildings and visit farmers markets, antique shops and tea rooms. Pick up a small aperitif and step aboard a river cruise (season permitting) before catching a matinee at the Roses Theatre. If historic splendour is on the agenda, Tewkesbury is home to a 12th-century abbey, adorned with one of the highest Norman towers in the country, and the largest medieval re-enactment festival in Europe in July.
