Rossal House was originally built in 1873 and retains many of its historical features. Our apartments combine the perfect mix of classic and contemporary features. Choose from one of our 4 unique apartments offering different sizes of accommodation and personality.
You can choose from a luxury studio, one or two bedroom apartments with separate sitting room. All are apartments enjoy private bathrooms and separate kitchen, and are all thoughtfully designed for the modern traveller. There is an apartment to suit all tastes and budgets. They all provide an elegant setting for a relaxing highland retreat, where you can enjoy the rich heritage and charming local traditions of the area.
We are close to the city centre but with a countryside feel quietly nestled within the residential conservation area of Inverness. We offer an ideal base for exploring the beauty of the surrounding countryside, or as a starting/finishing point for the magnificent North Coast 500 route (known as the NC500). We also benefit from large off road parking on site all covered by CCTV.

Highly recommend

Gorgeous property with all the amenities and comforts. Puts you close to everything, but just far enough away to be a peaceful retreat. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it.

Fantastic apartment

We had 4 days in Inverness and we most impressed with Rossal House. The apartment has been beautifully refurbished to a very high standard and the non-contact check in was seamless. Thank you for a lovely stay!

A great apartment to explore Inverness and beyond

The apartment is located perfectly on the east side of Inverness, just a short walk to the islands and stunning views of the river. Roseisle was warm and cosy, the bed was comfy and everything worked well. We had a great time exploring the Highlands from here.

One problem was the shower - couldn't get it to run hot and the tap was broken, I noted it at c/out

Accommodation was great and also in a nice quiet location but within reasonable walking distance from the City centre.

Very enjoyable 10 day stay in this bright and well appointed studio.

Excellent location with ample parking. Kitchen facilities were ideal for our needs. Ample storage in the main room. Bedside lighting was perfect. However, could a dimmer switch be considered for the central lighting as it was very bright of an evening. On a personal note, a wall mounted mirror somewhere in the main room would have been useful. However on a subsequent visit we could bring a portable mirror. Comfortable bed, and we appreciated the change of linen and towels during our stay.

Rossal House has had a very varied and interesting history since it was built, initially as a family home for a prominent Doctor, and also as maternity hospital serving the town of Inverness. Many of the City's residents were either born here, or have connections to the property.
The current owners have worked hard over the last 20 years transforming the property back into a comfortable residential home for guests to enjoy the character and tranquility of the area.
