The cottage is a perfect base for walking, cycling and enjoying the best of the area including the coast, forests, moors, and stately homes such as Castle Howard. The North York Moors railway can take you from Pickering to Goathland and Whitby, or you can venture by car to Helmsley and York in around an hour. Castles, waterfalls, beaches, forests, market towns, nature, history...this area has it all.
