A spacious, well equipped, comfortable apartment in the heart of Bourg d’Oisans, makes this rental property a perfect choice to those requiring cyclist friendly accommodation to relax in after epic days in the mountains.

Situated in the centre of Bourg d’Oisans on a quiet street, the apartment is on the first floor of a small apartment building beside the pretty river running through town. The first floor is accessed via a short internal staircase accessed on the front of the building. The apartment had a private furnished terrace leading from the open plan lounge/dining room with the most incredible views over the rooftops and to Alpe d’huez, and some other local climbs. The terrace is furnished for outside dining with a table and six chairs, there are two sun loungers from where to relax after a day in the mountains.

The front door opens into a stunning open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with comfortable furnishings. There is a fitted kitchen fully equipped to self-cater with all modern conveniences, dishwasher, washing machine and espresso coffee machine. There is an dining table with seating to accommodate six people. The lounge is modern and bright, with a tv for watching DVDs, there is plenty of comfortable seating in front of the French doors from where to relax and enjoy the mountain views,

There are three bedrooms, two have double beds and the third is a twin room with two single beds. All are comfortable and offer plenty of storage for personal items.

There is a private secure garage for storage of bikes and sports equipment, equipped with bike tools, track pump and stand.

Outstanding

It was the PERFECT location. It was quiet yet very close to the town center, restaurants, and amenities. There was a garage to store bikes and easy parking in front of the building. We want to come back and tell all our friends.

Amazing location for riding, hiking, and enjoying the Alpes

First the reason for 4 stars versus 5. I review based on the whole experience and don't abjectly give a 1 or 5 star rating. A couple small issues with security and function kept if from being a 5 star review. The apartment is spacious, inviting, and comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed and the living space was great for relaxing after long rides (which we were there to do). The outdoor seating was perfect with amazing views of the Alpes and some surrounding city. The photos don't do a good job showing how much outdoor seating there is. There is quite a bit and on two sides of the apartment. The apartment is kitted with a great array of cycling memorabilia and paraphernalia. We could tell the owner was an avid cyclist himself. The other feature that was really nice and a little unclear in the listing was the garage space. The bike storage is much larger than it seems in the photos and is secure and accessible only to the owner or renter. Groups could easily fit a half dozen bikes in there safely. There are enough tools to get minor adjustments and air in the tires but if you are building up your bike the tool selection was limited. We only used the main bed and it was comfortable enough. The negatives are that one of the balcony doors won't lock and the "dryer" (French for wall-mount towel warmer) didn't work. All-in-all this was a great stay and the host were easy to work with and provided excellent communication. I'd recommend this to any of my friends

Een waar fietsparadijs

In het schitterende dorpje Bourg d'Oisans ligt dit appartement nagenoeg in het centrum. Alles wat je nodig hebt is in het appartement aanwezig met daarbij een garage helemaal ingericht voor de echte fietser. Misschien wat weinig kastruimte voor je eigen spullen, maar met een beetje schuiven was dat ook op te lossen. Een ruim appartement voor 6 personen, en dat in Frankrijk.
