Norton Cottage is a beautifully presented Cotswold holiday home which sleeps six guests, in three spacious bedrooms, with a family bathroom and ensuite. This wonderful home away from home has been recently refurbished with a calming colour scheme and tasteful, stylish, unique pieces to create a warm and contemporary finish. There is a garden room and enclosed courtyard patio at the rear, and the bustling High Street is just a short walk from Norton Cottage's front door.

This perfectly situated three bedroom holiday cottage makes an ideal base for friends, couples and families who are looking to explore the fantastic shops, restaurants and pubs on its doorstep, as well as the wonderful neighbouring villages and countryside nearby. Excellent location and very comfortable

Excellent location close to local amenities, very clean and well equipped for our party of six. Furnishings were all relatively new and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this property

Comfortable stay in stylish accommodation

Located in heart of Chipping Norton . Very comfortable 3 good sized bedrooms . Lovely design . Great kitchen with everything you need. Stylish and relaxing. We enjoyed it very much. Only downside was comfy seating for 6 adults watching tv together is limited.

Relaxing stay in a great location!

Norton Cottage is a well kept and tastefully decorated cottage in a great central location with shops nearby. It felt homely and the bedding was very comfortable! It can easily sleep 6 guests. Parking was clear and easy to access. Kitchen was well equipped and we were able to cook dinner one night. Only things I would add are: - Instructions on how to use heating/hot water system. - Bigger towels for showering - A microwave Other than that, my friends and I had a really pleasant stay and I would 100% recommend to anyone else visiting the Cotswolds.

Concerns Regarding Cleanliness and WiFi Issues

The downstairs area was not adequately cleaned, and we found a dustbin with rubbish left inside the wardrobe in one of the bedrooms. Additionally, the WiFi was not functioning, which caused a delay in our evening plans as we spent time trying to resolve the issue.

Not an outstanding property and not well presented.A few problems:Stained bath towels Kitchen not completely clean, a dirty grill pan and an espresso machine not cleaned and emptied Top floor bedroom had a loose sink tap, a chair with no cover and another with a loose leg (dangerous to use) hence no where to sitDangerous rug in conservatory causing my wife to slip and nearly fall

Spacious, comfortable home in a great location

We had a very pleasant stay in Norton Cottage! Thorough, easy to follow instructions made the property simple to find and easy to enjoy. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms spacious and clean, kitchen is functional and immaculate. Easy walking to everything in town, and private parking was a huge perk!

Lovely place, just a few glitches

We had a great stay in this stunning cottage in a great location, however, the heating was not on when we arrived and it took a long time for the property to warm up. Three of the radiators weren’t working and the gas Woodbury we did not work, we had to go out to buy new batteries for the ignition, once fixed, it was lovely. There were no dishwasher tablets either. Just a couple of glitches, but we still has a great time

Great house, great location

Norton cottage is a wonderful retreat in Chipping Norton. Very close to the town centre. Beautifully decorated, tasteful soft furnishings and furniture. Lovely warm house with the bonus of a gas log burner. Comfortable beds and quality bedding. All in all would thoroughly recommend. Thanks

a really enjoyable stay

No denying the convenience of being close to town, the downside being noise from the road at the front of the house. Lovely views from the other windows and the convenience of having en-suites meant our family's stay was very comfortable. Needed more towels and flannels and a bath mat but we could have asked, I'm sure - just that we were rather busy. We had a great time exploring a lot of gardens and finding activities for the children at half term.

Mixed feelings

Arrived ar 4.15 to find the cottage hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests departure. Contacted customer services who initially said they couldn't find our booking, but then said it had been missed off the cleaning rota. A very nice lady arrived about 40 minutes later to clean and she said some compensation would be sorted out. We left the lady to clean and it was all done on our return. Haven't heard any more about recompense for the inconvenience. Overall nice cottage, just a couple of niggles, the sofa needs changing, most uncomfortable and had a strange smell about it and the ensuite shower is so small even 5ft me was unable to bend down to get things off off the shower tray and the basket on the wall to hold shower gel etc was hanging off the wall, unusable.

Lovely Cottage. Good Location

Modern cottage with all amenities and very well maintained. We were 2 couples and it suited us fine. It was spacious and well equipped for our needs for 4 days. Great location for restaurants and bars for the evenings, and a good base to explore surrounding areas during the day. We had a packed agenda. Little courtyard at the back was a real sun trap and a nice way to unwind with a glass of wine. Gated parking behind property a real bonus and everything felt safe and secure. Space for 2 cars was ideal. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone who imay be considering this as a rental option.

Tastefully decorated cottage

Norton cottage is very tastefully decorated -comfortable beds - very close to the town centre . There were a few minor problems with the bath taps as shower toggle is loose and water spouts all around while water is pouring and hot water is scalding . And toilet seat also loose . We did phone the number given by Staycotswolds and after no reply we left a voicemail but never had a response . Wasn’t a problem for four nights but will get worse if left unfixed . A tower fan would also have been useful in the heatwave . But a lovely house to relax in and very cosy .

Lovely property

Norton Cottage was lovely. Stayed for a week with my Mom and explored using Norton as our home base. Well located and the parking was important to us. Best feature was the fireplace. We loved it. Furnishings are very nice, kitchen well equipped. Folks at StayCotswolds were great and very easy to work with. Many thanks!

Beautiful, well-equipped cottage

Norton Cottage is a stylish and comfortable cottage in a great location for Chipping Norton and the Cotswolds. Decor and furnishing is of a high quality, and we had everything we needed during our stay. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful cottage, a couple of points need changing

Check in and check out was very easy, great location for us and beautiful cottage very relaxing holiday. We felt the cottage was modern which we like, cosy, comfortable, very well equipped, clean, a great layout for us and having WiFi and Netflix was a nice extra, loved the fireplace, really enjoyed our stay in the cottage. Just a couple of points, the owner might have paid a lot of money for the kitchen, the extractor fan is not actually attached to the outside wall, so there’s a lot of stream in the kitchen when cooking. 2 chips cups in the kitchen cupboard Radiator in the upstairs en-suite does not work The sofa in the living all the stuffing was falling out, it’s rather a large sofa, we are a short family it wasn’t comfortable to sit on. They are just points that would make our stay even better

Disappointed

When we arrived for the weekend the first thing we saw when parking the car was the overflowing bins! On entering the cottage we realized the heating was on fully so has to open windows and figure out the heating system immediately. The number given for help/questions was for a company (not the owner) who tried their best but didn’t seem to know much about the property: eg confusion about the second car parking place which we eventually found with the help of a neighbour as the ivy had grown over the number! Our bed was not made up properly so on remaking it I saw that the bottom sheet had not been changed and had hairs ion it from a previous guest. All in all, the cottage needs some love and care - a pity as it could easily be a beautiful place to stay. Won’t me using this company again though to book a holiday in yhe Cotswolds.
