Dear Guest, my name is Dimitry Kalinin. I am an Airbnb/VRBO Superhost/Premier Host with 100% 5-star reviews. Please have a look at my London home where I have lived for over 20 years.

My home is set over two floors. The entrance level is on the first floor (UK) of the building, twenty stairs from ground level. There is no lift (elevator).
The front door opens into the well equipped kitchen/dining area which has Miele appliances, including Miele washer/dryer; adjoining it is the comfortable living area. Spiral stairs lead up to the second level with a master bedroom, shower room and media room (the second bedroom). This media room opens onto a delightfully lush balcony with two chairs and table.

-The master bedroom has a UK King Size bed.
-The second bedroom has a UK King Size sofa bed with a Memory Foam Mattress Topper.
-The pillows are a choice of down filled or memory foam.
-The duvets are down filled.
-The beds are fitted with The White Company London, Symons 1,000-thread-count, high-quality 100% Egyptian cotton sateen bed linen.
-Two Dyson purifier fans.
-The towels (face cloths, hand and body) are also premium 100% Egyptian cotton.
-Perfect shower experience with GROHE SmartControl: push, turn, shower.
-There is ample storage and hanging space.
-Two Smart TV’s (65" and 55") have access to Apple TV Plus, Netflix, Disney Plus, Sky Plus, Paramount Plus, BBC iPlayer, ITV, Chanel 4.
-Sonos Music system with Apple Music.
-The kitchen includes Miele dishwasher, oven and microwave, and fully equipped with a large range of cooking implements (blender, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine etc), crockery, quality glassware, and a selection of cooking oils, herbs and spices for your use.
-I can provide a travel cot (for one infant) upon request.

On your doorstep:
The apartment is in a quiet mews (street), less than 10 minutes walk to Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, and literally across the street from Paddington Station with five Underground lines in addition to the new Elizabeth Line and the Heathrow Express. Kensington Palace is approximately 15 minutes walk, and the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum are all approximately 25 minutes walk, or a short trip from Paddington Station on the Underground. Notting Hill and the famous Portobello Road market are a 25 minute walk, or two stops on the Underground from Paddington. Covent Garden and Soho (Tottenham Court Road Station) is an 8 minute journey on the new Elizabeth Line. Harrods in Knightsbridge is a 30 minute walk across the park, or easily accessed by the Underground.

Home truth:
-There is no air-conditioning in the apartment. There are two Dyson purifier fans.
-The home has spiral stairs (see photos), which may not be suitable for small children and some guests or overly large suitcases.

Parking: as is the case everywhere in the UK car parking is controlled by the local Council which for us is Westminster City Council. Please search on the internet for Westminster parking around Paddington Station.

Great location and great host

The unit was super convenient to Paddington Station so you can easily get anywhere when you stay here. The neighborhood is nice. There is a easy walk to Hyde Park. The host gave great information ahead of our stay and checked in with us throughout. We stayed during Christmas and they put up a tree. The unit has everything you need and a well appointed kitchen if you want to make any meals. Perfect flat for 4 or less travelers.

Excellent stay in Paddington

You can’t find one thing to complain about if you are lucky enough to stay here. The location, the apartment its self, the communication. All top notch for a welcoming stay that immersed you right into the daily life of London.

Home Away From Home

Dimitry was an exceptional host from booking through to the completion of our stay. He is thoughtful and courteous, communicative and kind. He definitely went above and beyond many of our host experiences. The flat was perfect - and an incredibly easy hop over to Paddington station - to make travel around town quite easy. Loads of natural light and just the right amount of technology to make it exceptional. Looking forward to our next trip!

A rare hidden jewel

Our trip to London was a graduation gift to our 17yr old granddaughter and this place was such a positive addition to the experience. Dimitry is the ULTIMATE host. He contacted us several times before our stay to make sure that everything would go smoothly and once we arrived he gave us wonderful suggestions for how to spend our very limited time in the city. The location (literally a block from Paddington Station) makes all of London and the environs totally accessible. We will ABSOLUTELY stay here again.

Super host and super stay

We stayed at Dimitry's place for 3 nights and it was an amazing experience for my family and I. Dimitry went over and above my expectations from the consistent communication before, during and even after my trip. He provided recommendations for the area and we took him up this and was not disappointed. The flat was clean and comfortable and check out/check in was seamless. Location was the big call out. Short walking distance to multiple subway lines as well as the rail but also walking distance to many tourist hot spots. I would highly recommended this place to all and would rebook with no hesitation if I ever get the opportunity to visit London again.

Dimitry is the best host I’ve encountered

The property is well appointed, classy, clean, and very well thought out. The location is easy to and from the airport and getting around London, especially Kennisgton and Hyde. Tube is easy. (Pubs are all grouchy except Bear, which is quite friendly.) There are lots of little details, like chargers and high thread count sheets. The real reason to stay here, however, is Dimitry. He’s a great communicator, very helpful and warm. I’ll stay here again every time if he’s still managing the property. Thanks.

Perfect in every way

If VRBO would employ a person to teach hosts how to be exceptional, that person would be Dimitry our host for this lovely property. From the day we booked, he was informative, kind, and attentive. The home is in a beautiful secluded mews literally 200 feet from Paddington Station, which allows you with trains and Tube to travel everywhere in London with great ease. Also, the Elizabeth and Heathrow Express lines deliver you practically to your door from Heathrow, which is a huge plus. The apartment is well-appointed and truly cozy with comfortable furniture. Dimitry has taken great care in making it extremely easy to use with everything you need. The bedrooms and bath are very comfortable with fluffy linens and towels. The shower is beautiful, and there is plenty of counterspace in the bathroom to place your things. All in all, the most convenient and comfortable place we have ever rented. Would never think to stay anywhere else in London!

Great base for exploring London

If you are looking for a cookie cutter place with no personality, this isn't your fit. But if you'd like a well loved home away from home with real art, books and character plus support of the fantastic host who provided great information - book it! The location is fantastic (1 block from Paddington Station, we found it easy to catch the tube to wherever we wanted to explore in London), the home is well outfitted for cooking, relaxing, and sleeping. As typical in London, no AC but there are Dyson fans, multiple windows, and it's tucked back on a pretty quiet street. We appreciated the detailed videos provided which made it easy to operate unfamiliar appliances. Do consider the spiral stairs based on your travel companions - it could have been an issue if we'd had different (less able) family members with us. A comfortable place to kick off our shoes after a day of exploring, great restaurants nearby, and well outfitted for when we wanted to cook (explore Borough Market, then come home and make a feast!). We hope to stay again on our next visit to London!

exzellentes Objekt

von Anfang bis Ende nur positive Erfahrungen. Sehr gepflegtes mit allem hochwertig ausgestattetes Objekt. Lage: direkt an Bahnhof Paddington in zweiter Reihe in kl.Einbahnstraße, absolut ruhig. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten gut mit Bus oder U-Bahn oder zu Fuß erreichbar. Restaurants / Pubs gut erreichbar. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe.

Merveilleux séjour

Notre hôte nous a accueillis chaleureusement. Il a fait preuve de beaucoup d'attentions (envois de mail avec de nombreuses informations concernant l'appartement et son environnement...) et il a été très prévenant avec nous. L'appartement est charmant, très accueillant, très propre et au calme. Tout est pensé pour que les occupants s'y sentent bien. Il est de plus parfaitement situé. Incredible stay in Paddington

Dimitry was the best host I’ve ever had. He thinks of everything and is incredibly hospitable. The apartment is so close to Paddington station that our stay was so easy and the apartment was charming, clean and comfortable. Weekend Soccer Visit

Dimitry was a very helpful and attentive host. Probably the most communicative host I've experienced through VRBO. Dimitry sends a detailed welcome letter including videos with instructions for appliances and nice lighting and music for the whole space. I flew in for a weekend trip to watch some soccer games with my father and brother. The location is great. A less than 5 minute walk to Hyde Park and very close to most major tourist destinations (Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, Parliament, Tower Bridge, etc.). Paddington Station gave us access to all of the soccer venues we were going to... including the Euston train station for our day trip to Manchester. The home is very nice and well kept. We didn't do any meals or cooking in the home because of our busy schedule, but it was nicely appointed for that if necessary. Really enjoyed the ceiling mounted rainfall shower head...a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again.

The perfect home to stay in!

Our family had an extraordinary experience staying in Dimitry's home! And it was truly a home, decorated and kitted out as a real place to live - books, knick-knacks, art work. This made it an amazingly warm and relaxing experience. Dimitry was full of ideas and suggestions, which were very helpful. The check in information was spot on - local restaurants and places to visit, and how to manage the home (garbage days, etc.) Please know the staircase is pretty steep, but easily manageable. My husband said he wouldn't want to stay anywhere else if we return to London, and I completely agree. It is central to everything either by walking or by using the tubes from Paddington, and is very close to fantastic restaurants and good grocery stores. (Also, if you are a jerk or super demanding or have out-of-control kids, please choose a different place to stay. These are good, kind people letting you into their lovely home and they deserve to work with other good, respectful people.)

Home away from home

We enjoyed our six nights at this property. The property is exactly as pictured with a fully stocked kitchen and all the amenities that make it feel like home. The flat is centrally located but is down a quiet little road away from the tourists and traffic. Dimitry was very helpful in terms of check-in and check-out as well as asking if we needed any help along the way.

Best Place to Stay Possibly in the World

I cannot say enough about the property, location, and the host. This is possibly the best VRBO experience I have ever had. Dimitry attended to everything & the place was exactly as described, if not better! We loved our stay. Absolutely would recommend this place to anyone needing a place to stay in London!
