We had a great time and stayed at the cabin more than we had planned. We were enjoying fishing in the pond every morning while having our coffee and every evening before winding down in the hot tub. The bongo drums were a pleasant surprise. The house was equipped with everything you could possibly need. It was a wonderful time and I’m sure we would stay here again.

Peaceful and relaxing

Julie was helpful, kind and available if we needed. The property was quiet, with some lovely, easy trails to enjoy the outdoors, and equally cozy indoors to relax by the fire. Although you don't need to leave the property, there is plenty to see nearby! We loved our time there!

A Perfect Stay

A beautiful tranquil retreat that provides activities for any age group without having to leave the property. Equipped for outdoor or indoor activities for all. Sauna, Soaking Tub, Jacuzzi on deck, pond for swimming, tubing, kayaking. Hiking trail, fire pit, well-equipped kitchen, DVD library game room, etc. Julie and Bill are great hosts and really enjoyed the vision they have created

this property is a special Suprise.

my 2nd time here. owners are one of the best I ever dealt with. if you want solid peace and quiet this is the place. 30 anchors, walking trail, fishing pond with BIG BASS, fire pit, playground for young kids, sauna, jacuzzi, BBQ, list goes on and on.... just have to bring food and cloths. everything else is already there. in town in few min. unplug from everyday grind. this is the place.

Perfect Upstate Getaway

We had an incredible weekend at The Getaway at Moonrise Pond. The house is beautiful and had lots of rooms to either congregate or take some time to yourself. The sauna and jacuzzi provide much deserved relaxation time, and with the jacuzzi outside, its a gorgeous view of the woods or the night sky. The air hockey and foosball table are a super fun addition and Julie was a fantastic host. She even met us on arrival to give us a little tour and answer any questions we might have. She was also available for any questions throughout the weekend and provided a welcoming stay. Highly recommend this spot, we loved the seclusion and staying in and cozy during the winter but I’m sure the pond and property is beautiful to enjoy during the warmer months as well.

Long weekend getaway

What a slice of heaven! We chose this location and home to have a restful getaway and we nailed it! Between the peaceful sounds of nature, the wildlife and the cozy cabin, we truly enjoyed our time. The owners clearly care about this property and have kept it so clean. Would highly recommend!

Woodland get away

We all loved it! Our friends are from Rome so a long cabin on a pond in the woods is a welcome novelty. It was comfortable, roomy and quiet. Great kitchen for making pasta. Great dining room for sharing food and wine. Thank you!

Get away cabin.

Beautiful home, very cozy, excellent for winter time, although I’m sure just as good year round. Beautiful view in the back, especially with the snow covered trees. Everything we were looking for for our get away.

This is the second time we've stayed here and both times were immaculate. If you are looking for a restorative weekend away, this is the place. It has a pond for cold plunging, a sauna in the basement, outdoor shower and hot tub on the porch. It also has air hockey table and the indoor fireplace keeps it cozy all day and night. I love the nostalgia decor as well, including but not limited to a fabulous DVD collection to really take a trip back down memory lane. Communication is great with the hosts, never too much but always responsive and helpful. Can't say enough good things.. We love this spot!

A wonderful family trip!

Our family of five had a relaxing, wonderful time. The property was just as described, and Bill made sure we were comfortable asking questions. Check-in was easy. I was a little worried about the lack of air conditioning in August, but there were fans everywhere making it quite comfortable. We loved kayaking and relaxing in the hot tub. Everything was wonderful. Great place to unplug and take it easy.

Amazing Cabin

We spent our honeymoon here and it was absolute perfection. The pictures do not do it justice. It is even more beautiful than it looks. The cabin was gorgeous and very clean, and the property is breathtaking. Julie could not have been more helpful & responsive. We had an amazing stay & we will absolutely be back again.
